Dyson Sucks Again

Sam Dyson blew another save attempt and cost his team another win. While manager Jeff Banister gave him a vote of confidence the other day, it appears to be only a matter of time before the Rangers move to another closer. With Jeremy Jeffress struggling as well, one would think Matt Bush is the logical choice as next man up.

Padres Rotation

With Luis Perdomo hitting the DL with shoulder discomfort, there is no reason to care about the Padres rotation at all except when Jered Weaver screws over your DFS stack while pitching in Coors.

Various News and Notes

Matt Harvey was pulled from his start in the 6th inning after experiencing some hamstring discomfort. Harvey is expected to make his next start however. Harvey has looked pretty good so far in his return from thoracic outlet surgery, but any health issues are sure to scare fantasy owners.

Jean Segura hit the DL with a hamstring injury. The injury is only supposed to keep him sidelined for the minimum 10 days, but as we all know, hamstring injuries can be tricky and linger. This blurb was originally going to be about Taylor Motter, who used to follow me on twitter and will take over for Segura at shortstop, but he unfollowed me at some point leading this bitter fantasy analyst to refuse to mention him as a cheap AL only fill in for the short-term.

Stephen Drew injured his hamstring and will be out for a while. The Nationals, who are without Trea Turner due to a hamstring injury, will most likely rely on Wilmer Difo for the time being at shortstop. Difo is a speedster that could be a cheap source of stolen bases for the near future and perhaps longer. He was able to swipe three bases last year in the majors in just 66 plate appearances. He is worth a roster spot in 15-team mix or larger leagues.

Adrian Beltre suffered a setback in his rehab for his strained calf muscle. Good news for Joey Gallo owners; bad news for people like me that activated him in weekly leagues on the news that he could be back this week.

Streaming Pitcher Options

A pitcher for today: Amir Garrett ($5,800 on DK/17% owned in Yahoo) @PIT

I am a fan of Garrett and was impressed with his debut vs. the Cardinals. Now he gets to pitch in PNC Park. Worth the gamble in deep formats and as a contrarian DFS play.

A pitcher for tomorrow: Jesse Hahn (1% owned in Yahoo) @KC

Hahn has looked good in relief so far this year and will need to pitch well to hold this spot for very long. Available everywhere.
