Some thoughts:

11 closers?! That’s wild and has to be some kind of record. I would not draft, I don’t think. I’ve found it easy to find pop up closers here and there to end up ok in saves. Takes some work and some roster space, but I think it’s worth it to take, say, Manoah instead of Gallegos and play the back end of the closer/high end RP pool.

I am very surprised at Daulton Varsho’s ADP. Maybe I’m missing something.

Tight pantsgods Tyler O’Neill and Robbie Ray back to back, with the exact same ADP. How juicy. As the season is shuttered, this gives me joy. I don’t even know if Tyler wears tight pants but he’s still a tight pantsgod in these starry eyes.

Varsho has C eligibility but won’t play there regularly, meaning you can get near a full-season of at bats from your C, something that doesn’t happen much. He also steals bases, which is rare for a catcher.

Still not convinced he’s worth that pick… especially without much of a track record. But certainly I understand why he’s going there, in theory
