I had planned to upgrade my standard membership to an ad-free membership, but my account renewed a couple weeks back before I could do that. What happens if I upgrade after my standard membership renewed?

I upgraded a couple of months ago while I was in the middle of my membership, and it automatically calculated and charged a prorated amount based on the remaining portion of the membership-year.
