Have a question about two players you drafted, and clearly like them both. Listening to the podcast, you continue this year to share the love for Luis Castillo.
Standard 5×5 NL only 10 team Roto: would you rather L. Castillo ($22)or M. Muncy ($13)?
(Context – solid hitting foundation with Acuña $18, Soto $13, Trea $27 and possibly Edman $8, and on pitching side Soroka $6). I have Castillo which would make good pairing as #2 and #3 (sounds similar to your LABR) but considering making a move for Muncy for the position flexibility, power, cheaper price for this year and beyond ($5 annual escalator).
I’m leaning status quo and hanging on to Castillo based on SP market and my foundation of well priced hitters, and wanted access to your brain on this.
Please someone respond to this, I can’t make up my mind! I’m thinking of keeping 4 SPs ..Cole/Verlander/Clevinger/Snell (also keeping Judge and K-Marte) and using my loaded draft to get a ton of second/third tier hitters.
I have 10 picks within the first 5 rounds (technically rounds 7-12 after keepers). I have 10 picks within the 73-132 range. Yes that’s two picks per round and that would be many good tier-3 hitters.
So my question is, am I being outrageous in thinking I can keep 4 SPs and not have it blow up in my face? You couldn’t really ask for a better 4 combo.
