I need some help from this community.
The commissioner of my 14 team 5×5 $260 9 player auction league (where salaries go up 0, 7, 14, 28, etc… every year a player is kept) is vetoing my trade where I (in first place) give up a $1 Alex Reyes for what will be a $30+ Chris Archer (from a team near the bottom) because there are no ML players going to the Archer side.
So I threw in Soler, who I was stashing. I didnt wanna throw him in, but I want this trade to go through.
He is still not wanting to do it “Guys: you edited this trade to add a player on a long term DL stint? Did it not make sense when I said that there has to be some kind of present value on the other side of the trade? When you do stuff like that it makes it feel more like a trade that shouldn’t go through.”
I think this is BS. Am I wrong?
It’s complete BS.
I am livid right now. “This has always been the rule and it’s totally simple. There cannot be zero present value going in one direction. “
