Potential topic…. Thoughts on Marcell Ozuna and Oswaldo Arcia… You see either getting back up any time soon? Making an impact when they do? Who would you rather stash?
Paul, I have loved your addition to the Sleeper & Bust team, and you’re the best host the show has had (with apologies to Pod and Nick Minnix). But you’re singing a different tune about Carrasco in this episode than your solo one…..
And to the guy who complained about Eno’s moving and kid issues: THEY ARE DOING THIS FOR FREE! So yeah, life intervenes.
One more thing, for Jason and Paul to discuss: now that Chris Carter is being platooned, it’s probably time to cut bait, right? You two were big advocates, so I’d love to hear you discuss where we are now.
Jeff, that’s fair re: Carrasco. I’m still looking to buy him, I just wanted to make clear that he hasn’t just been super-unlucky. Some of his elevated ERA is on him.
Skills are still lockdown gold. I *think* I made mention of that on the solo as well, saying that you can’t just expect his ERA to plummet to his FIP with time. He has to iron some things out on his own, but also Lindor/Urshela will help him.
I’d have to go back & listen to the solo, but I don’t think I contradicted myself on Carrasco, I just mentioned he’s not a bona fide ace yet.
Belatedly, thanks for the response, Paul. I think Carrasco’s untradeable: you can’t get value for him right now. You were pointing out his upside in the solo podcast, and I just felt you weren’t pushing that possibility in the conversation with Eno. Really, not so harmful…and considering you give us 3+ hours a week, I feel like kind of a jerk pointing it out.
Could you put your phones on silent? I checked my phone like 15 times during your podcast. 🙂
