2. Casual Weather
BOS at NYY- There is a 15% chance of rain at game time, but there is rain expected most of the day. Definitely a chance of delay or postponement.

TB at BAL- Another game that is risky. The weather report says Baltimore has a 25% chance of rain at game time, but it will have been raining all day.

NYM at ATL- 45% chance of rain at game time and will be raining all day just like the above games. Chance of delay or postponement.

CHW at KC- 10% chance of rain, but it sounds like this one is pretty safe.

SD at COL- 15% chance of rain at game time, but it sounds like this is pretty safe as well and should play even if it starts late.

TEX at SF- Slight chance of rain, but should be fine.

 

3. Favorite Stacks
Left-handed Athletics versus Taijuan Walker– Walker looks awful and the A’s have a ton of power in their bats.

Yankees versus Ryan Weber– Weber’s HR/9 this year is 4.91. It will go up.

Rockies and/or Padres in Coors- Welcome back to the hitter’s paradise!

Left-handed Braves versus Rick Porcello– Porcello has been truly awful for about a year and a half. Really all the Braves are in play.

Right-handed Mariners versus Sean Manaea– Manaea has struggled with velocity and is a nice target for some of the right-handed power bats the Mariners have.

 

4. Favorite Hitting Plays
Catcher (Expensive) Yasmani Grandal
Catcher (Punt/Value): Dalton Varsho – Varsho is a top prospect that is offense first. If he plays he could rake right away. Also consider Jason Castro, Aaron Nola, or Austin Allen.

1B (Expensive): Matt Olson
1B (Punt/Value): Ty France – Not a lot of cheap options at first, but France is playing in Colorado and Eric Hosmer is dealing with a persistent stomach issue.

2B (Expensive): Ozzie Albies
2B (Punt/Value): Jose Peraza – Peraza has been leading off versus lefties and gets left Jordan Montgomery. Also consider Mike Moustakas, Ty France, and Cesar Hernandez

3B (Expensive): Manny Machado
3B (Punt/Value): Ian Happ – Happ has a nice matchup here versus Trevor Williams and has the power to do damage. Mike Moustakas, Todd Frazier, and Nick Solak,

SS (Expensive): Fernando Tatis
SS (Punt/Value): Adalberto Mondesi – Mondesi finally broke out of his slump last night and is still underpriced. Also consider Elvis Andrus and Carlos Correa.

OF (Expensive): Tommy Pham, Giancarlo Stanton, Ronald Acuna.
OF (Punt/Value): Michael Brantley – Brantley is extremely underpriced and is one of those guys that almost always delivers. Also consider Bradley Zimmer, Kyle Tucker, Edward Oliveras, and Kyle Lewis.

Cash Games: Blake Snell at BAL, Yu Darvish vs PIT, Mike Minor at SF, Luis Castillo vs DET

Tournament: Mike Minor at SF, Luis Castillo vs DET, Lance McCullers at LAA, Randy Dobnak, Alex Cobb vs TB

Contrarian Plays: Spencer Turnbull vs CIN, Jon Gray vs SD, Garrett Richards at COL
