Jeff Zimmerman: Not worth a stash with some of the active pitchers to stash. Even if you don’t trust the arm to start, you monitor from your bench and add for near nothing.

Jeff Zimmerman: Right now, it’s Garcia way over the other two and it’s not close

Jeff Zimmerman: It always depends on the possible replacement. I’ve seen both on my wires.

ChrisS: Paul Skenes is strangly still available in my 12 team league. Is he a must add?

Jeff Zimmerman: Massey or Arias and I don’t feel good about either. The other two need more playing time.

bcubs: I’m in a 20 team league and carlos correa is hurt, the SS waiver wire is absolutely barren, names like nick ahmed, ernie clement, enrique hernandez, tyler wade, etc. anyone you’d go with that has a roster rate of close to 0%?

Jeff Zimmerman: Ahmed for the playing time and be on the look out for an improvement.

Jeff Zimmerman: He can’t stay up with a 54% K% and .000 ISO. The team is trying to win and they have other bats in the minors. If people want to know when one of the others bats comes up, it’ll be when Holliday heads down.

Jeff Zimmerman: The league is only throwing Holliday non-fastballs. He needs to figure it out.

Jeff Zimmerman: Knack is a tough guy to value. He gets a decent start this week and is expected to be demoted. His results were fine with a below average fastball and two above average secondaries. He should be recalled for the next injury.

Jeff Zimmerman: I would go min bid and re-evaluate next week

Jeff Zimmerman: I’d do Lang but not spend much. It’s a small upgrade.

Jeff Zimmerman: No for now. I’d want Jones for the four games at home and two in Mexico city.  If he can’t get going this week, then drop him.

Jeff Zimmerman: I’m going to give it to you straight, all five of your hitters need to be on the wire. I’m not sure Wisdom is much of an upgrade but I’d target Perkins and Pages

Jeff Zimmerman: 30% to 50%. The amount people spend on traded players. You get Monty for 3 more months

BRC: Is Hunter Brown a drop in a 12? Next start is in Mexico City – invested a lot of draft capital in him, but it’s so hard to hold in an OC.

KCBBq: Need replacement for Christian Javier in a 12 team AL only 5×5 using W+QS. My SPS are Gausman, Lopez, Kremer and Jose Soriano. You like either Marsh or Tyler Alexander? How much FAAB? Marsh gets Jays while Alexander is at home against Det. Neither gets many Ks. TB has a way to get the most out of their SPs.

Jeff Zimmerman: India was on my WW this week and I ignored him. My current options seemed better. That said, I’d go: Garcia, Rosario, India, Gorman

Jeff Zimmerman: I can’t. I don’t need middle relievers right now

Elmeg: it has been a disappointing start to the season for K. Maeda.  Are you sitting him even in a deep AL only (would have to play a middle reliever) or roll with him against TB?

LMR: I punted on pitching until the middle rounds and now am faced with the tough decision on when to move on from boring  mid-level starters like Stroman who aren’t gonna win me a championship. My best pitcher might be Hunter Greene. It’s a deep 16 team league so it’s not like there’s a ton sitting on the wire. (Mize, Gil, Montas, Maeda, Stone, Olson are the top options left) Thoughts on how to rebuild a pitching staff during the season? Do I keep muddling along w the mid guys or chase upside with some of the prospects like a Christian Scott? Am trying to stream two starters as much as possible, but wary of dropping someone like Flaherty, Gore, Sanchez or Severino. Thanks!

Jeff Zimmerman: You have to go week to week and play the matchups. If you wait for pitching, you accept steaming 2-3 spots is your fate.
