Jeff Zimmerman: Good evening ladies and gents. I’ll try to get to the FAAB and waiver wire questions first.

Jeff Zimmerman: Here are the FAAB results from the two 15-mixed Tout Wars leagues.

Guest: Team dependent, of course, but is Julien worth keeping around for a bit?

Jeff Zimmerman: Nope, this was the worry last week with Polanco coming back

Kelly: J Duran or Suwinski ROS?

Jeff Zimmerman: Duran for speed, Suwinski for power

KCbbq: 12 team AL only 5×5 H2H keeper league using W+QS. Taj Bradley, Logan Allen and Ober available. What % of FAAB would you use on them? Figure Bradley stays in the rotation all season and pitches for the best team. Allen is iffy while Ober likely goes back to AAA.

Jeff Zimmerman: I’d go 50% on Bradley in an only. The other two at 5% knowing they could be in the minors tomorrow.

kuff6: Logan Allen vs Matt Strahm: who ya got?

Jeff Zimmerman: Strahm, I’m just not sure how many more starts for Allen with Civale coming back.

daro: would you go with MJ Melendez or Bethancourt for next week?

Jeff Zimmerman: Melendez but check up on the injury.

Justin: Hi Jeff. How concerned are you with Mason Miller from fantasy perspective, in terms of innings and pitch count? Is he even worth picking up in 12 team W and QS league?

Jeff Zimmerman: Team context and workload are working against him. I’m bidding because he’s better than most options but I have others ahead of him (see WW article).

Ryan: Brendan Donovan or Jorge Polanco ROS?

Jeff Zimmerman: Not taking the positional flexibility of Donovan into account, Polanco.

JimmyP: Allen or Pfaadt in 1 league and I need one of these 2 Velasquez or Canning in another.     Thank you

James: Good evening Jeff! How would you rank these 4 available outfielders? A. Thomas, Siri, Gallo, & Rooker

Jeff Zimmerman: Wide range of talents there so needs is a major part of the decision. Also, Thomas is at COL this week. I think I’m Siri, Gallo, Thomas, and Rooker.

Jeff Zimmerman: Now if this talent level is available on the wire each week, Thomas is #1. These guys can be streamed

Stick To Sporer-tz Ball: In 12 Team OBP league have to cut bait with Chas McCormick to fill my lineup.  Do any of Brian Anderson, Connor Joe, Spencer Steer, Harold Ramirez and B De La Cruz look good to you?  Thanks Jeff.

Jeff Zimmerman: All but Ramirez look good right now. Figure out who has the best weekly lineup.

Octopus: Any injured folks you’re stashing in NFBC leagues this week? I’ve got Brantley on my list

Jeff Zimmerman: I might get Civale, he’s down a ways in some bid lists. Grichuck might be an option in some leagues

Guest: Would you drop Paredes for Steer?

Jeff Zimmerman: Probably if I need to start the bat. I like Paredes as bench bat to cover several positons.

Elmeg: Deep AL only roto league. What is a suggested speculative % add for T. Bibee based on how P. Battenfield and L. Allen have performed?

Jeff Zimmerman: Not that much because it looks like the Guardians don’t need him.

Francis: Why don’t you like Harold ramirez?

Jeff Zimmerman: He only starts two-thirds of the time, volume

Jeff Zimmerman: It’s like start 2 games, and then sit 1 game

Greg: Do you still have faith in Jose Suarez for a 2 start week?

Jeff Zimmerman: No. I like his talent, but changed quite a bit and he is still working it out.

Danny: Which cubs RP are you most interested in (svs), now and ROS, Boxberger, Estrada or Alzolay?

Jeff Zimmerman: Boxburger right now

Bruce 2023: Alex Kirilloff hot as hell in aaa.  Might be up next week.  Worth an add in a deep mix roto ?

Jeff Zimmerman: Also, there are reports he might just stay in the minors (MLBTR).

Dan: Playing Blackmon in a 14 team H2H. His .400 OPS looks like empty calories. Drop him for Suwinski for ROS? Thanks, Jeff.

Jeff Zimmerman: I think you need to stream the spot based on matchups. Possibly add Thomas of ARI for the COL games this week.

Skip: Scooped up Baty last week.  DJ LeMahieu was dropped, and Peraza is out there, too.  Drop Baty for either of those two?

Jeff Zimmerman: I would for DJLM

Steve in NYC: 15 tm NFBC % of FAAB for L Webb after today’s start?  % for M Strahm?

Jeff Zimmerman: Webb is on the wire?  30%+ for him. Strahm is tough with 2% to 10%

Mason Martin $$$: Mason Martin is going to cost me at least 15 % TO 25% Isn’t he?

Jeff Zimmerman: It’s looking that way

Hurricane Sandy: Am I rolling the dice on Alcantara starting this week, or am I better off going with Musgrove at home vs the Giants?

Jeff Zimmerman: Why not both … your staff must be stacked to have these type of options.

Mike: what % of FAAB for Canning? 12 team mixed roto. Do you think he has value one term? Thanks

Jeff Zimmerman: I think like Strahm, the range could be huge depending on needs. 2% to 10%

Guest: chances that Suwinski is a plus in 12T 4OF OBP ROS?

Jeff Zimmerman: Almost nil if he remains in a platoon.

Wisdom: How wise is a Wsdom bid in 12 tm mixed? Does he keep this rolling? The strike out rate is still pretty bad.

Jeff Zimmerman: Some team needs to roster him. I’m bidding in some that I can use him but in others I’m fine in CI

Jack: Do you use the same percentages if/when trading FAAB for players? I’m thinking of buying Eugenio Suarez from a league mate, likely to replace Kolton Wong. (12-team AL only roto). I’ve got $103 left. Offer $25? $30?

Jeff Zimmerman: I think that they may want a little more, but try

Nick: What’s your take on Pressly – victim of circumstance between the illness and getting two days of rest or is this a major shakeup?

KCbbq: Think Jarren Duran will stick this time? Made changes to his approach, stance and mechanics. How much FAAB to risk? start out with 100 FAAB. 12 team AL only 5×5 keeper league using OBP. And would you drop Rooker or Eziekel Duran for him?

Jeff Zimmerman: He could stick and I would drop Duran for him

Stick To Sporer-tz Ball: SP Luis Garcia was cut this week.   His recent start a sign of correction in your mind?  Or was that the aberration?

Jeff Zimmerman: I’m not sure of any change, but he might be worth an add-and-bench

A.: Where does Riley Greene rank compared to ww options like Steer or Duran? 12 Team, OBP

Jeff Zimmerman: Way higher

Jimmy 5: Better save option ROS Aroldis Chapman or Bryan Abreu?  Any noise about Pressly not being healthy?

Jeff Zimmerman: I think Chapman, but it might be a bit

Braxton: How is Braxton Garrett doing this? The fastball is mediocre and down 1.5 mph and he throws is 2/3 of the time. The slider is improved but he’s not de Grom. I don’t get it! Might drop him in some 12s for streamer types.

Guest: Is 10% FAAB enough to get J Duran in NFBC 12-team OC?

Jeff Zimmerman: Maybe $10, I’m not sure he’s even rosterable with the other OF options. He’s like a sub-1% streamer in 15’s

Allen or Bradley: Should my Logan Allen bid be higher or lower than the winning bid for Taj Bradley ($178) last week in my AL-only?

Jeff Zimmerman: Probably lower but it seems like people are locked into adding him

Howard H: Whit Merrifield was dropped in my league, should I pick him up?

Jeff Zimmerman: It all depends on the drop, but yes

Count Pointercount: Drop Martin Perez for a healthy Eflin or Manaea ROS in shallow points format that values innings & Ws more than Ks?  And in that order?

Jeff Zimmerman: Those two are about where I value Miller. I know I’m lower than most people, but I just have him getting the same value a multi-inning reliever

Guest: Hey Jeff, thanks for doing this and the waiver wire article every Sunday. Thoughts on Sean Manaea this year? Lots of hype coming into the year with the velocity spike, but he’s struggled so far this season and only has a 24.4% CSW

Jeff Zimmerman: He’s been bad and I had him as an option in one league and he’s far from my top choice

Giants: You have JD Davis high on your list.  Haniger’s return is imminent, Pederson is back tonight and the Giants seem to like rotating a pu pu platter into the lineup.  Are you confident he plays full time?

Jeff Zimmerman: I do for now but with SF, that could change

Jeff Zimmerman: I’m not sure he’s rosterable in a 10-teamer. He was barely rosterable in 12’s until his last start

Jeff Zimmerman: 10% to 40% for each

Stick To Sporer-tz Ball: Kenta Maeda droppable for a Strahm or Luis Garcia?  His velo down and seems injury prone?

Jeff Zimmerman: Probably. You might find someone who would take Maeda from you. “Stuff-ests” love him this year.

Guest: Jose Butto worth an add?

Jeff Zimmerman: No, Steamer is drunk on him

Sam: Would you give Bellinger for Strider even though I’m thin at OF? Could pick up Siri, Meneses, Myers…

Jeff Zimmerman: Yes, yes I would.

Mark: Drury, Kim, or Straw for the drop in a deep 15 mixed to pick up pitching help (such as it is).

A.: Honeywell, Dunning or Winchowski as a sp eligible rp in a holds league?

Jeff Zimmerman: Honeywell but the situation could change on these three in a day

Cw: In a league with only four adds per week so have to be judicious. Two questions: Is Heim meaningfully different than Stephenson? And Soler, Baty, Haniger, pederson ROS — any fave?

Jeff Zimmerman: Soler needs to be added. Heim and Stephenson seems like a draw

Jared: How much faab would you expect a winning bid for Civale in a 15?

Jeff Zimmerman: $5 … maybe. It won’t be much

Jim: Am I dropping MIller (OAK) for Strahm? Oak SPs  won’t grab may Ws.

Some Guy: Need a 2B in AL only. Prefer Peraza, E. Duran, Jordan Diaz, or Vierling?

Hold Steady/Stay Positive: Is F. Alvarez worth a pick up to replace J. Bart (hopefully by the end of the week)? Or would it be more prudent to make a play for J. Duran, S. Hilliard, J. Barrero? 15 team Mixed
