Jeff Zimmerman: Maybe, they might be 6-man with Wesneski and Assad. Also, it seems like Miley is scheduled for tomorrow.

Jeff Zimmerman: All between six and eight. ARI and LAD have the eight

Win Vulture: Wins obviously crucial right now. Do you think Hunter Brown has a chance to vulture some from the pen? Or am I better off with a less good arm that’s starting (Voth, Bello, Joey “Real Player” Wentz)?

Jeff Zimmerman: You have to move on from Brown if needing Wins. Go with one of the others. Voth would be my choice

Olivares: Olivares is back, baby! Where would he rank in your ww list? OBP league. I assume he’s ahead of Myles Straw (who is suddenly getting on base again)?

Olivares: (Roster Resource thinks he’s a platoon bat, though he played vs. a righty today)

Jeff Zimmerman: I’m not sold on Olivares but might be a must roster for those needing speed in deeper leagues.

Wicks Cherrycoke: Anything to Miles Straw’s better play recently.  Looking for some SBs this week and Berti hasn’t been great lately.  Just lost O’Neill.

Jeff Zimmerman: Straw has a .373 BABIP in Sept, so the options to steal have popped up. Has just a .034 ISO this month. Even with the extra times on base, he only has 2 SB this month.

Baseball guy: vaughn Grissom or O’Neil Cruz for just this week? Points league

Percy Miracles: Hi Jeff, would you load up on Rockies this week at home? Villar move up your board with 4 games in COL?

Jeff Zimmerman: It’s tough to go all in with Rockies since their playing time is all over the place. I’m not sold on Villar

Matt L: Cutting Willson Contreras in an OC? Took the zero last week unfortunately. Only have $3 FAAB left, best options are; Diaz (COL), Grandal, Narvaez, or Trevino (DTD)

Jeff Zimmerman: Diaz for sure … on the sneaky side. Matt Thaiss should be catcher qualified after today’s game.

Jeff Zimmerman: Wong in Boston is a decent option with Pawlecki getting demoted.

Streamer: Bello got a decent bid in your league, but @CIN and then NYY seems scary. Him or Voth (DET), Wentz (@BAL), or Cody Morris (@TEX) for the week? (FWIW, I could sit Bello vs. NYY)

Jeff Zimmerman: I like Voth and Wentz more. Also, Wentz might line up for two starts the next week.

Rennie Stennett: Darvish is rolling but he’s at COL next weekend.  Would you roll with Yu or go with Stroman or even Wesneski @ Pittsburgh instead?  14 team points league- weekly lock. Thanks for doing these chats Jeff!

Ned Yost: Just started a painful deep dive of my team stat pages on NFBC and lordy did I mismanage a ton of my players. I need to drink now. Beer? Cocktail? or have I proven I will make the wrong decision and should just drink things neat tonight

Jeff Zimmerman: Always compare to the “good” teams. They make a ton of mistakes also

OBP 5×5: How safe are “safe” ratios with 2.5 weeks left?  I’m leading a roto league by 7 points in OBP. This means can (continue to) unleash guys like Mateo and Aquino with reckless abandon now, can’t I?  Ratio cushions as a strategy for September — too hard to do on purpose or worth a shot?

Jeff Zimmerman: I have been using them where I can. Use that cushion
