Thomas the Tank: Out of contention in a super competitive OBP keeper league (6 players) so all I can do is watch the wire.  What recent or impending callups might be worth adding for the sole purpose of potentially keeping next year?

Jeff Zimmerman: Watch to see if the Orioles bring up Gunnar Henderson

Jeff Zimmerman: Also, check the competing teams and see if they have any pitchers they might add for bullpen help.

Jack: Think effross can be the guy in the Bronx?

Jeff Zimmerman: Could but I doubt he gets a chance right away

KCbbq: What % chance do you place on Gunnar Henderson, Jung, Stowers and Langeliers coming up this season?

Jeff Zimmerman: Not for me

A.: In a league that counts saves and holds (separate categories), Tepera or Swanson. Currently in 1st in saves right in front of the team I’m fighting for 2nd with.  Middle of the pack for holds, but don’t want to lose ground to the team with whom I’m directly competing.

Jeff Zimmerman: Swanson, I like the chances of Seattle being ahead

dan: Have an opportunity to grab Champan back, I know hes been better of late, can he be of value for ratios of not.  Other option at present is Karinchak what are your thoughts between the two in a Saves league?

Jeff Zimmerman: Chapman would be the easy choice among these two. I wouldn’t count on Chapman for ratios

Smelly Kelly: Jeff.  Could you rank these NL closers/potential closers ros:  Wick, A. Diaz, Graterol, Crowe?

Jeff Zimmerman: He’s a decent streaming option against the right team.

Franimal: $99 left how much would you spend on Franmil, need an OF 5×5 NFBC

Jeff Zimmerman: Franmil’s price is more dependent on the team’s needs right now. In one 15-team, I can’t take any AVG hit so he’s off the board. In another where I need all the power I can get, I could see going $50

Stretch Run: Hi Jeff, for standard 5×5 mixed, drop Vogelbach or J. Walsh? Drop Civale or Kikuchi? Thanks again.

Jeff Zimmerman: Schreiber but there seems to be several other options even in 15’s

Jeff Zimmerman: Nice … and again I will apologize to everyone I confused last year when I thought there was only one Barlow closing.

Guest: Any reason to hold onto Kluber in a 12-team league? I’m looking at guys like Ashcraft, Civale, Dunning or Manning to replace him.

Jeff Zimmerman: If those are the options, drop Kluber and move on

Ben: When do you expect Detmers (LAA) and Kirby (SEA) to be shut down or pulled from rotation?

Jeff Zimmerman: I’m not sure on either. I do think Kirby will keep throwing in some capacity as long as the Mariners are in the playoff chase.

Pablo: You mentioned Chourio in your waiver wire report. He’s gotta be zero percent callup chance, right?

Jeff Zimmerman: I just put in bits on over 10 12-teams and Pederson was the only one I put bids on. I removed all those once I saw he was hurt.

Peter Francis Geraci: I feel like Melendez is getting no love. Obviously he has more value in an OBP league but is he top 10 headed into 2023?

Jeff Zimmerman: Easily. He’ll be one I target or just wait until the last round for a fill-in

Overthinking: How much do you value strength of schedule in H2H ROS? Maybe keeping cubs (morel, suzuki) over hotter bats like Grisham or Oscar is a mistake?

Jeff Zimmerman: I rarely make any calls on a player being hot.

Jeff Zimmerman: There is now a ton of love for Nootbaar since he’s hot. He better be hot, he just had a series in COL.

The Pain and the Smell: Last lineup spot in 12 team 5×5 roto, and I’m not hurting for any specific category.  Would you play Vaughn Grissom or Vinnie P.?  Thanks!

Jeff Zimmerman: Maybe. Look to see if the people ahead of you are streaming 2-start guys. I think it’s tough to move up but other can quickly move down

Jeff Zimmerman: I might in a couple leagues depending on tonight’s FAAB results

Porcho Villa: Somehow both Kwan and Vinnie P are on the wire (12 team 5×5 OBP). Both on a tear. Which is the must grab for ROS production?

Jeff Zimmerman: Vinne, but possibly both depending on the options.

Roy Hobbs: Are you a believer is Jose Suarez?  Drop Pivetta for him in a 12 team points league?

Jeff Zimmerman: I might go with Pivetta this week but Suarez might be the better talent.

Craig Porch: Yelich is killing me. I want to drop him for some FA hotshot. Will I regret it?

Jeff Zimmerman: No regrets unless you need steals

Jake: Even with Tanner Scott’s implosion today would you still use him in saves only leagues?

Jeff Zimmerman: It’s just one blowup, usually takes three

Fat Tony: Aren’t Andrew Benintendi and Steven Kwan just modern day Marco Scutaros?  No pop, no speed, just singles hitters who score runs.

Jeff Zimmerman: Kwan has a little more speed. Oscar Gonzalez is in the same discussion but he’s more the Yandy Diaz. Decent power but into the ground

Tammy: Traded for JDM in hopes he’d help with my playoff push. How do you feel about him?  I’m having some regrets.

Jeff Zimmerman: I’m not a fan and stayed away. I don’t like old guys heading down. The end can come fast

Jeff Zimmerman: No but yes. It seems like after the trade deadline, there are more platoons. That said, some teams are facing a ton of righties (e.g. Mets) so it’s a decent week to stream some
