Jeff Zimmerman: Enough to leave yourself enough to just make one move per week on the way out.

Jeff Zimmerman: Yes, but try not to take a zero on Segura waiting.

Jeff Zimmerman: A least $5 per week. I 12-teamers, I want to still be able to make moves later in the season. Prefer $10 to beat the $1 guys

Jeff Zimmerman: I didn’t consider him anywhere.

Slapshot: Would you consider picking up Jean Segura with him due off the IL this week?  I replaced him with Nico Hoerner who has definitely been adequate but I wonder if I’ll get more out of Segura for the last two months.

Jeff Zimmerman: My one issue with Segura is that he admits to coming back at not 100%. I think Segura could out produce Hoerner, but he could really struggle

Jeff Zimmerman: No, Carroll is not coming up this year

frank: have my full FAAB in an AL only league and we can make $0 bids so I can continue to make moves ROS.  Spend everything on Castillo as a safe move or risk it to see if someone else gets traded over this coming week?

Jeff Zimmerman: I remember one year when the big move was Mark Trumbo coming to the AL. Castillo might be the best get.

Eno: Hey Jeff, how much weight do you put into pitching models (stuff/location/pitching+) when taking a look at pitcher adds? K-BB obviously is very informative over longer periods but with guys like Garrett and Singer they don’t particularly pop on pitching+. Thanks!

Jeff Zimmerman: I use pitching plus as one of several inputs. One addition I like is the last three to four starts (I use 21 days). I’ve been happy with the results

Randy: Sal Perez worth spending half my remaining budget?

Jeff Zimmerman: Possibly. 5th to 6th round picks don’t just show up on the wire.

Joe: I picked up Nelson Velazquez in a deep NL only last week in anticipation of him getting more PAs after Tuesday but immediately regretted it. Trayce Thompson, Jake Fraley, Paul DeJong, James Outman, Lane Thomas—any of these guys a legitimate upgrade to you or do I hold Velazquez? I need HR, have a lot of cushion in BA, and position does not matter. Thanks!

Devil Ray Jay Johnson: Need SB. Do Red Sox keep playing Duran enough to matter?

Jeff Zimmerman: I don’t think so but trades could change everything.

Jeff Zimmerman: I think they will go some modified six man. I could see them piggyback some guys to limit their innings for the playoffs.

Jack: HelpDo you think Rizzo stays in NY after he opts out? Trying to trade for him in an AL only keeper league, but I worry he will opt out and sign in the NL next year.

Jeff Zimmerman: 50/50 shot IMO. Just remember, flags fly forever

Jack: Do you like Anthony Santander? He walked like crazy the first month, but has tailed off in that department although he is still improved overall.

Jeff Zimmerman: He’s a fine streaming OF option

Rico: if you are solidly in first place in your league in power categories, and don’t necessarily need a catcher, would you place a $100+ bid on Salvi Perez in hopes of winning an overall?

Jeff Zimmerman: If you’re first in power, you might not be able to move up in the overall compared to other categories.

Jeff Zimmerman: Where I need speed, I’ve been pivoting to Nick Fortes at catcher

Jeff Zimmerman: You need to know your percentile in each category and where the gains flatten out

Jeff Zimmerman: Not Canha. I don’t like the playing time situation in NY

Naquin: So far he has played 2 games with Marte & Canha sitting one each. Canha doesn’t have much of a platoon split. Is Naquin just a pure 4th OF or splitting time with Canha and killing his value?

Jeff Zimmerman: I see it being a huge mess in NY. And it might not be over.

Jeff Zimmerman: It comes down to needs. His SB might be of interest to some teams.

Nils: In experts leagues do you find other competitors carry biases about certain players or positions and as such are hard to make trades with based on errrr… man crushes on certain players ..

Jeff Zimmerman: In keeper, for sure. I usually find 4-5 guys who are always willing to trade to make move.
