Going for it: Getting down to the wire… In the semi-finals of a 10tm H2H points league, dare I drop Kyle Tucker with his possible shoulder issue to stream the likes of Luke Weaver, Dakota Hudson, Edward Cabrera, and/or Josiah Gray? Add Otto to that mix and rank if you’re feeling particularly generous. Thanks for all the content and chats this season.

Jeff Zimmerman: If you are worried about Tucker’s injury, go with Weaver.

Going for it: Extra streamer slot, or roll the dice on a guy like Stratton in the final two weeks?

Jeff Zimmerman: Depends on the other options. I know I’m dropping him in one league and having to go with him in another.

Tim Whatley: With Vaughn set to come off the DL, does Gavin Sheets get enough pt down the stretch to warrant a spot on a AL only league contender chasing HRS and RBIs?

Jeff Zimmerman: He’s probably worth it in an AL-only. Also check out TEX for more playing time for Culberson with all the lefties coming up

Jeff Zimmerman: Robbie Grossman: He talked about changes he made last season and they stuck. Also, I bought into the Rodon spring training improvements

Jeff Zimmerman: Yes … I think he’s in a platoon. Bobby Bradley is also an option since the Gaurdians have 106 games this week.

Maris: Straight points league. Which one of these OF would you keep in 2022: Austin Meadows or Dylan Carlson?

Jeff Zimmerman: Carlson … maybe. Both have issues with Meadows in a platoon.

Kappa: Kaprellian was supposed to get SEA but Fangraphs thinks he’ll face Houston. Should I cut him for a middle reliever? (AL only)

Jeff Zimmerman: It all depends on when/if Bassitt comes back

Dave: Drop Skubal or Kikuchi for Fedde? Need a two-start pitcher for playoffs. What’s your off-season gig look like?

Jeff Zimmerman: For the offseason, I need to update The Process and get it out around Thanksgiving. I plan on doing a comparison of projections. And at some point 2022 prep starts

High5Ghost: Hi Jeff! Thanks for all the help this year! I’m in a 6×6 12 team mixed that counts BB. I have Gallo & K Tucker both DTD. Right now my OF / UT situation is those two and Schwarber, Dalbec and Jesus Sanchez. I’m looking at Hampson, Siri, Kelenic and Wade Jr on waivers. Stand pat or start churning this sucker? Thanks again!

Jeff Zimmerman: Hampson has been leading off (I didn’t check today) and has 3 of the last 4 at home

Jeff Zimmerman: And SF has all righties this week, so Wade is also a great option

Jeff Zimmerman: At least drop Dalbec (limited starts) and probably Sanchez for those two

AL Only 5×5: Mercado batting 2nd for CLE, with 9 games this week, any optimism? Pick over C. Dickerson?

Jeff Zimmerman: I like both.

Jeff Zimmerman: I’m guessing Mercado sits at least twice, possibly in four of the games.

Jeff Zimmerman: Dickerson is safe, Mercado is an upside gamble

Grisham: What’s your strategy for H2H pitching in playoffs: tight riens on ratios or let the pitchers pitch (I’m playing for a consolation prize: next year’s #1 draft pick)? Have an insightful off-season. We need you back next year.

Jeff Zimmerman: I just left my guys go, I hold back.

Jeff Zimmerman: I don’t know if it’s the right strategy, but roll out a ton of suspect plays

Matt: Thoughts on Dillon Peters tomorrow versus the Reds?

Jeff Zimmerman: I’m going to use him in Tout Wars (that was my bid and we have to start added players) and just staying away in others. Fedde and him are the top available two-start pitcher IMO

Brendan: HR’s, RBI, SB’s, and Saves are razor thin.  top 2 teams in 12 team AL roto only are within 1 of all of those categories…  Matt Chapman was unexpectedly dropped and we have preference to pick him up.  But there’s also DJ Peters (Tex facing 5 lefties next week), Jose Siri (the SB component), Sergio Romo (saves?) available.   I have my pick.  Who would you take???? this could win or lose the league!!!!  so no pressure 🙂

Jeff Zimmerman: Probably about half will be on my do not draft list but Trout for sure

Jeff Zimmerman: I have certain requirements for each round and some players don’t make the cut, mainly for no steals or low AVG

Yinyang: Tommy Pham seems to be heating up and playing. Is there anything you see?  I’m thinking of picking up and starting in my weekly OBP H2H playoffs. My regular hitters have been slumping.

Jeff Zimmerman: He might be good for a bit until Brantley comes back and then he can share time with Meyers and McCormick

Dave: Trout on your do not draft list? Suggest trading him before 2022 season (14 team H2H keeper league)?

Jeff Zimmerman: The issue with Trout is that is value is probably at an all-time low. I’d hope he’s healthy in ST and get a better value

Matt: 12 team league with 15 keepers per team, standard 5×5 roto. Is Brendan Rodgers a keeper in your estimation? Other choices will be Matt Chapman or Jake McGee or Trevor Rogers or Amed Rosario . . . players in that range.

Jeff Zimmerman: I’d go Chapman first then Rodgers and then Rosario
