7:18 |
: I’ve got 22% of my FAAB left and not sure how aggressive to be with Oberg. If I miss out, would one of A Bradley, J Jimenez, or N Anderson be a good, cheaper fallback? Thanks, Jeff.
7:19 |
: Anderson isn’t really a fallback. I’m like 10% (100 out of 1000) for Obert and Bradley. Maybe 2.5% for Jimenez
7:20 |
: You can also gamble with Bass in the Seatle bullpen
7:20 |
: Thaiss have some real value down the stretch? or is he just a matchup streamer?
7:20 |
7:21 |
: Would you cut Marcus Stroman for Aaron Sanchez now?
7:21 |
: No, hell no.
7:21 |
: Is Trent Grisham worth a grab in 14-team points leagues or is playing time too much of a question mark? Picked him up as a bench player but wondering if I should drop him and get W Calhoun instead.
7:21 |
: Grisham looks to be the 4th OF. Grab Calhoun instead
7:21 |
: Smyly or Smeltzer? Or both!
7:22 |
7:22 |
: 3 year keeper NL only 4×4. Dustin May, % of FAAB?
7:22 |
: 50%, who else are you planning on getting>
7:23 |
: ?
7:23 |
: Shane Greene or someone else gets majority of Saves for ATL? If not Greene, who gets most? Thanks.
7:23 |
: Greene
7:23 |
7:24 |
: I’d drop Disco for blister boy
7:24 |
: What kind of fantasty celling does Soto, have
7:25 |
: Maybe Miggy but I think mid-1st round in the Arenado/JMart range
7:25 |
: What is the fantasy profile of Seth Beer
7:25 |
: All power
7:25 |
7:26 |
: I don’t have a ton. I was trying to get a feel for him before the chat. HR power from the SS position.
7:26 |
: I’ve got a sizeable innings gap between my league limit and my projected total (about 80). I just added Paxton via trade but looking for some possible waiver additions to fill that huge void a little bit! Anyone stand out rest of the way? Or would you look at streaming?
7:27 |
: Stream 2-start guys in the only way to make up innings
7:27 |
: more valuable ROS: Jesse Winker or J.D. Davis?
7:27 |
: Davis. But I don’t feel good about it one bit.
7:27 |
7:28 |
: Hicks for this week. 8 games.
7:28 |
: I’d go Alfaro, Chirinos, McCann, Mejia
7:29 |
: I was the $1 bid for Hicks in the Tout auction league to fill in for Conteras
7:29 |
: Better keeper for next year at similar cost (NL Only): N. Senzel or K. Marte?
7:30 |
: Marte. I think Senzel will frustrate his owners by missing games with dizziness
7:31 |
7:32 |
: Aquino. 40 HR power potential.
7:32 |
: Who would you trust for overall contribution but with a speed emphasis: DeShields, RQuinn, Maybin, Grisham, Berti, Brinson?
7:32 |
: I like Berti on his list. He seems like he’ll play every day
7:33 |
: Do you like JD Davis or piscotty ros? 12 team obp format. Davis qual at 1b, 3b, of
7:34 |
: I think Davis. it’s close
7:34 |
7:34 |
: Little but IIRC, he has nice matchups this week.
7:35 |
: Willie Calhoun or Margot ros? 12 team obp. Margot has been getting more days off than I thought after Reyes trade.
7:35 |
: If you need speed, Margot. Otherwise Calhoun
7:35 |
: Oberg or Bradley?? Also, pick one out of Matz, Vargas or Chase Anderson. Thanks
7:35 |
: Oberg and …. vomit. Matz???
7:36 |
7:36 |
: I am in one league. I need Wins so bad. Comes down to your situation
7:37 |
: Cut one (Eloy,Pence,D Santana, Votto) head to head avg&obp lg
7:37 |
: Pence, last time I check, he was only playing half time
7:37 |
: Aquino or Grisham?
7:37 |
: Aquino based on playing time alone
7:38 |
: Hi Jeff, what are 2019 ROS stat prospects (if any) for Luis Urias, Dylan Carlson and Vidal Brujan and do you still feel highly long term for each player?
7:38 |
: Urias is the only one I’ve heard up. Some for him and I guess nothing for the other two
7:39 |
: I’ve got $32/100 FAAB left. McKay finally available. Keeper H2H league, I’m in contention this year. How much do I bid?
7:40 |
: $5 at most. If you are in contention, You will need the money later in the season. Win this year. Worry about next after the season is over.
7:40 |
: okay to cut Maeda?
7:40 |
: It’s close but probably. I feel he’s coming back to the bullpen
7:40 |
: Samardija or Yarbrough ROS? Limited transaction league so streaming not really an option.
7:41 |
: Yarbrough beter team for W’s and his home park is decent
7:42 |
: What to do with Khris Davis ros? Can drop for Calhoun, Sano or Myers?
7:42 |
: Bench for now and hope he gets healthy
7:42 |
: Is Matt Carpenter worth keeping at 2% of my budget next year? I traded for him earlier this year and have been sorely disappointed. Wondering if it’s time to part ways. 12 tm 5×5 dynasty keep forever
7:43 |
: I’d part ways in a keeper. Go younger. Carp may have one more good 1/2 season but gamble on upside.
7:43 |
: Any AL hitters you expect to come up during the next two months who have a shot to be full-time starters next April?
7:44 |
: Tucker maybe. It’s tough to figure out who will come up this late int he season.
7:45 |
: Thanks, Jeff. I know well wishes from internet strangers don’t mean much, but I’m really sorry to hear about your brother. I have friends and family who have dealt with ALS – I wish you and your family as much peace and comfort as you can carve out for yourselves
7:45 |
: Thanks
7:45 |
: also–so sorry to hear about your brother. We just made a donation to ALS association.
7:45 |
: Thanks
7:45 |
: H2H weekly points league, need a 1B replacement for Encarnacion. McMahon or Carpenter seem like the best choices on the waiver wire, who would you pick?
7:46 |
: McMahon but you may need to stream him. Every week until EOS, the Rockies play all their games on the road or at home each week. No split weeks. Try to maximize those home starts
7:47 |
: how would you rank these waiver pickups: fried, lamet, asanchez, vargas
7:47 |
: Thanks ugly. In Roto this week, i’d go middle releivers
7:48 |
: In AL OBP league, rank keeper value for the following (assume all same price): Voit, Eloy, Benintendi, Gallo, Meadows, Laureno. Thank you.
7:48 |
: Eloy, Ben, ….. Gallo, …. Luar, Meadows …. Voit
7:49 |
: Vlad Jr is starting to emerge. A top hitter in MLB for the next 12 years or a hot streak?
7:50 |
: Not sure about the top but good. He doesn’t seem to get to his power against live pitching
7:50 |
: Jeff, Thanks so much for giving us your time and opinion. I look forward to these Sunday night chats.
7:50 |
: Thanks
7:50 |
: Please, give me your thoughts on Trent Grisham, can he be a regular going forward. I think that he should have a future after Cain, and bruan move on.
7:51 |
: OK, I like other prospects more
7:51 |
: Seems like a lotto ticket, but would you stash Adell in a 12-Teamer?
7:52 |
: That’s a tough stash. I’d rather go after a hurt guy (Haniger) and hope on them.
7:52 |
: The next impact rookie called up is __________.
7:52 |
: next year.
7:52 |
: I’m sorry to read about your brother. Always appreciate your help with my fantasy teams
7:52 |
: Thanks
7:52 |
: JVM or Reynolds 5×5? Need an OF bat
7:53 |
: Reynolds. Plays more for now. It’s tough to figure out how the Reds playing time will work out
7:53 |
: start one- Edman, Berti, or Bote- obp/slg net sb
7:53 |
: My boys.
7:54 |
: Berti, Edman (playing time issues), Bote (more playing time issues)
7:54 |
: Hey Jeff, Carson Kelly or d’arnaud Ros in a 12 team roto?
7:54 |
: d’Arnaud. Plays more
7:54 |
: Corey Dickerson. What’s his outlook rest of year? Hadn’t played at all until today and did well. Picked him up hoping he’d start most days but haven’t seen it
7:55 |
: I really don’t know what is going on with him.
7:55 |
: I don’t know if this has been asked yet because I just joined, but is Aaron Sanchez now worth a roster spot despite his horrible performance prior to his being traded?
7:56 |
: I like the prospect of adding him to my bench and sees what happens.
7:57 |
: The questions are drying up and I have finish up the FAAB on a couple of teams. Good luck this FAAB period

Nice chat. It is like the 5th time I have heard someone say Grisham is the 4th of. That is not correct. He will start vs RHP and not vs LHP as has happened since he got called up which is specifically what they said when they called him up. Braun will play first.
