Stan: Do you expect any good IP from Musgrove or Boyd ROS?

Jeff Zimmerman: Musgrove yes, not so much with Boyd

Gerry: Who do you like for ROS?  Manaea, Arighetti or Festa?

Jeff Zimmerman: It would come down to matchups. Pretty close

Maris9: Who are a couple of top September call ups?

Jeff Zimmerman: I have no idea what teams will do and most call-ups won’t be worth it. Just play it week to week.

KCBBq: In order who would you rather have as a keeper in a 12 team AL only 5×5 H2H keeper league at $2 or less: Jon Gray, Romano, Dingler, Dezenzo? Have a few FAAB left and don’t think I can get Caminero for $7 or less.

Jeff Zimmerman: Dezenzo, Romano, Gray, Dingler

Scott: Do you think Birdsong is streamable in 12-team mixed league after 3 poor performances?

Jeff Zimmerman: I still am, I don’t have many choices in my leagues.

JT: Firmly in 1st place for a majority of 10T h2h redraft season, will clinch # 1 tonight, was just offered Alvarez for Alonso and Corbin Carrol, should I take it ? I have Casas and Harris on IL but also part of me is attached to Corbin since i brought low on him and he seems to finally be contributing, another part of equation is that Judge is our main player.

Jeff Zimmerman: I’d hold onto the pair

Liquid SWRds: How much to bid on SWR vs Spaghetti and Ryne Sandberg-Nelson? Same question in roto and points if it matter.  – The GZA

Jeff Zimmerman: At this point, it should take 1% to 2% of the initial budget to roster them

Andrew: Who’s the best rookie for SF to hold for dynasty – Ramos, Fitzgerald or Birdsong?

Jeff Zimmerman: Ramos for me

tumtum: Dezenzo’s strikeouts in AAA and so far in Houston are much lower than we’ve seen in the minors prior to the injury. I expect regression against him, but have you seen or heard whether there is legitimate improvement that supports the results?

Jeff Zimmerman: No known improvements besides being healthy

Ron: Do you expect E Rodriguez (ARZ) to be effective the rest of this season?

Jeff Zimmerman: From what I’ve seen so far, not really

Jeff Zimmerman: Seems like he’s been better for a while, but he’s pulling a Lance Lynn with his fastball being his only effective pitch.

B’ryce Hammer Destroyer of Baseballs: Tatis Jr isn’t makin it back before September… Cut in a redraft? My playoffs (2 weeks) start that first week of September

Jeff Zimmerman: I’d hold him until right before the playoffs start then cut. If he’s back, he could win the playoff round himself

Jeff Zimmerman: They could be 1 and 2. Spaghetti will have more K’s and BB’s while Festa, fewer. Go with team needs.

Curtis Jackson: OC – How much FAAB do you try to leave yourself for September?

Jeff Zimmerman: $20 a week, especially in leagues that count.

B’ryce Hammer Destroyer of Baseballs: What’s your read on Kershaw at this point? Is he just getting pitch count up and should be good? Or is this the end?

Jeff Zimmerman: There doesn’t seem to be much there, I’ve ignored him

Jeff Zimmerman: Hold and sit. I’m not that brave

JG: Everyone is “down” on expectations on Walker Buehler. But the Dodgers need him.  Start him this week ?

Jeff Zimmerman: No for me. I had him available in a couple of leagues and didn’t bid on him.

Jeff Zimmerman: Most likely not unless you have deep bench

RTFBC: How do you like the OBP / S+H with overall format now that you tried it out?

Jeff Zimmerman: Better if someone and their $11 would get out of first place.

Jeff Zimmerman: I love not having Friday lineups. Extends the number of leagues I can handle.

Andy: have Chapman at 3b, drop Jung for Woo? Need pitching help

Jeff Zimmerman: Chapman has been decent. Hold over Jung but if you need pitching, drop for Woo

Playoff Stashers: Not much to play for before OBP H2H playoffs. Rank the stashes for 2-3 weeks time: Caminero, Buehler, Albies, Musgrove, S Marte.

Jeff Zimmerman: I have no idea that far ahead, so I’d go with the guys returning first. Get Musgrove and Buehler, see how they throw, and you can then decent to keep or move on.

Tim: Are we seeing anything in Nootbaar these days? He just seems increasingly meh

Jeff Zimmerman: I think he’s unrosterable because of the lack of playing time.

Jay: H2H playoffs are the last 3 weeks of the season. Rank these starters for the playoffs. Grayson Rodríguez, Jacob DeGrom and Jared Jones.

Jeff Zimmerman: Jones in the only choice, again get the guy returning first

Catcher: What are your thoughts on Adrian Del Castillo?  Do you think he will get regular playing time the rest of the year and continue to produce?

Jeff Zimmerman: I dug in and asked around about him when called up. The review is great hitter (for a catcher) but needs a ton of work behind the plate.

Benny: Nick Sogard, Romy Gonzalez, Ramon Urias, or Stefanic for a desperate MI?

Jeff Zimmerman: Stefanic and Urias are decent right now.

John: Better DH option rest of the way, Neto or Chapman?  Thanks.

HappyFunBall: My IR is clearing out lately and I’ve only got room to hold one of Cobb, DL Hall, or Kershaw at the bottom of my roster.  It’s a QS league with an innings limit so SPs that won’t go 6 are hard to use.  I’m thinking Cobb’s the one most likely to be startable. Yes?

Jeff Zimmerman: I might lean Kershaw, but I don’t like any of them

Kevin: Head to head points league rest of season. Martin Perez or Cody Bradford?

Jeff Zimmerman: Perez

Dave: Are Sewald, Doval, and Kimbrel all drops in 15s

Jeff Zimmerman: Depends if you can replace all three. The order I’d drop them in is Doval, Kimbrel, Sewald.

Msfan: Neto or Bichette ROS? OBP points league.

Jeff Zimmerman: Neto and it’s not even close

Andrew: Is it too early to close up shop in a 15 team NFBC league? Top 3 in both ERA and WHIP, and can pick up 2 or 3 points. Despite being top 5 in IP, I am bottom 4 in Ws and Ks, and still losing ground. With 7 point lead, can I start leaning on RPs to drive the ERA and WHIP lower to secure those points? This would only leave Runs, HRs, and SBs, as the only places to gain points (and only a few points at that), if another team goes on a late run. Guys like Kremer, T. Myers, and Heaney, would be the ones to go for guys like Buto and Cade Smith.

Jeff Zimmerman: You are probably at the point you need to pick a lane

Jeff Zimmerman: I find it easier to go the RP route because some managers are going to suck up and stream ever SP out there

Andy: Is Trevor Story worth a stash?

Jeff Zimmerman: No

Whit: Start this week vs susceptible SB opponents?

Jeff Zimmerman: I added him last week. Nice bench option to cover all but SS, 1B and C

Benny: My league’s FAAB runs in 10 minutes and still tinkering. When do you lock in your bids and step away from the keyboard?

Jeff Zimmerman: I rarely tinker with my bids, especially at this point in the season. I have little FAAB left and need some for later and can only drop bids down. Once I’m done with this chat, I have 30 minutes to look for duplicate drops and out of place bids.
