Jeff: Zack Littell’s RoS ERA projection: 3.58 (ZiPS), 4.20 (Steamer). When there is a divergence, do you choose one projection system over another?

Jeff Zimmerman: I’d bet on the divergence being from splitting time between starting and relieving.

John Olerud: Who do you like better for 2024? Tyler Locklear or Kyle Manzardo?

Jeff Zimmerman: I don’t have faith in either one

GP: In a 15 team NFBC with a clusterf*** of OFs after Acuna’s injury, would you generally try to play matchups each week or just try to play guys with the best ROS projection? OFs include guys like H Bader, E Rosario, S Frelick, L Gurriel, M Tauchman, & L Raley.  Seems impossible to pick the right ones each week.

Jeff Zimmerman: Just play week to week depending on the watch.

Jeff Zimmerman: At least 20%

Bass Fisher: It seems like in today’s era, more and more teams have bench players that share time compared to the past. The implications on a fantasy roster means we are stocking our teams with more part-time players than ever. This requires some skill and lots of luck.

Jeff Zimmerman: Yes. And anyone who has a full-time role come at premium

Jeff Zimmerman: Horwitz. All the recent pitcher have a huge number of warts.

Carl: At what point do you start believing in a guy who has been bad all season?  I’m particularly thinking about Rowdy Tellez, who has either had a good week, or has turned it around in Milwaukee, but has done nothing else so far.

Jeff Zimmerman: I usually don’t. There needs to be a reason behind the struggles or breakout

Shred: My 3B/CI is Muncy, Ortiz, CES and Caminero.  Pretty strong everywhere else.  Hold out for the hope of 2 months of Caminero or let him go for the likes of Miranda or Malloy for a week or 3?

Don: 13 teamer, dynasty and keep 20, I lead in saves by 20 over 2nd, and 27 on 3rd…dealt Iglasis for Arozarena  (gambling for HR/RBI) and considering moving Suarez for picks.  Still have Alvarado and Helsley–currently in 3rd place…I’m bottom 3 in HR/RBI…lost Acuna/Trout so far….Would you deal Keller for Robert too?  I know Robert oft injured, but upside huge…Still have strong SP (Flaherty, Gausman, Sanchez, Ryan, Little, Burned, Brown)….VERY competitive league and SP is usually tough to get….
