Starting Pitcher Chart – July 21st, 2025

Daily SP Chart archive
The chart includes their performance for 2025, their opponent’s wOBA rank versus the pitcher’s handedness from this year so far, my general start/sit recommendation for 10-team, 12-team, and 15-team (or more) leagues, and then a note about them. Obviously, there are league sizes beyond those three so it’s essentially a shallow, medium, deep. If a pitcher only has an “x” in 15-team, it doesn’t mean there’s no potential use in 10s and 12s, but it’s a much riskier stream for those spots.
These are general recommendations, and your league situation will carry more weight whether you are protecting ratios or chasing counting numbers. This is for standard 5×5 roto leagues. The thresholds for H2H starts are generally lower, especially in points leagues so I thought there would be more valuable focusing on roto.

RK | PITCHER | GAME | 10 | 12 | 15+ | IP | ERA | WHIP | K-BB | 2025 wOBA RK | NOTE |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Paul Skenes | PIT v DET | x | x | x | 121 | 2.01 | 0.93 | 22% | 14th | We missed Skubal/Skenes II by a day! |
| Zack Wheeler | PHI v BOS | x | x | x | 122 | 2.36 | 0.86 | 27% | 11th | |
| Jacob deGrom | TEX v ATH | x | x | x | 112 | 2.32 | 0.91 | 21% | 8th | |
| Carlos Rodón | NYY at TOR | x | x | x | 119 | 3.08 | 1.00 | 20% | 8th | |
| George Kirby | SEA v MIL | x | x | x | 54 | 4.50 | 1.15 | 20% | 20th | |
| Kodai Senga | NYM v LAA | x | x | x | 77 | 1.39 | 1.13 | 13% | 18th | LAA t-1st in HRs vR and sitting 2nd in wOBA over the L30, but I can’t see that driving me to sit Senga anywhere |
| Jack Flaherty | DET at PIT | x | x | x | 100 | 4.65 | 1.24 | 20% | 29th | |
| Eury Pérez | MIA v SDP | x | x | x | 34 | 3.18 | 0.91 | 18% | 23rd | 3 straight Ws w/an 0.50 ERA/0.39 WHIP/33% K-BB in 18 IP |
| Shane Baz | TBR v CHW | x | x | x | 110 | 4.17 | 1.25 | 15% | 30th | Strong since getting hit by DET: 2.32 ERA/1.03 WHIP/23% K-BB in 27.3 IP |
| Jacob Lopez | ATH at TEX | x | x | x | 55 | 4.20 | 1.33 | 19% | 28th | I’m in for the 2-step espec. w/that decimated HOU lineup on the weekend & while he’s been worse on the road, the 1.7 IP/7 ER meltdown at TOR is doing a lotttt of damage |
| Brandon Woodruff | MIL at SEA | x | x | x | 10 | 2.61 | 0.68 | 47% | 7th | 2 excellent starts off the IL have him right back in the mix despite the ever-present health risk |
| Tanner Bibee | CLE v BAL | x | x | x | 109 | 4.29 | 1.24 | 14% | 16th | He’s been downgraded to a team streamer at this point, though I am running him for the 2-step (at KCR this wknd) |
| Zac Gallen | ARI v HOU | W | W | x | 115 | 5.40 | 1.37 | 13% | 19th | Couldn’t finish the half strong w/6 ER at LAA after B2B gems, but I’m interested in the 2-step (at PIT this wknd) and willing to chase a Win even in Monday-only situations |
| Brady Singer | CIN at WSN | x | x | 100 | 4.32 | 1.35 | 12% | 24th | ||
| Michael McGreevy | STL at COL | W | x | 21 | 4.22 | 1.03 | 15% | 26th | Like the Dodgers, Coors is Coors so it’s a calculated risk that we’re taking with McGreevy here | |
| David Festa | MIN at LAD | x | 48 | 5.25 | 1.31 | 14% | 4th | LAD can always clip ya so if you do decide to take this plunge, you know the risk… that said, they’re 25th in wOBA in the L30 and just 23rd since June 1st | ||
| Hayden Birdsong | SFG at ATL | x | 65 | 4.11 | 1.42 | 12% | 17th | |||
| Tomoyuki Sugano | BAL at CLE | x | 99 | 4.44 | 1.30 | 9% | 27th | His last start is a great microcosm of his upside: 6 IP/3 ER/2 K/W… we’re chasing something similar here | ||
| Shohei Ohtani | LAD v MIN | 9 | 1.00 | 0.78 | 24% | 21st | Up to 3 IP, but I feel like they’ll take their sweet time expanding his workload if he even gets to 5 IP at all | |||
| Kevin Gausman | TOR v NYY | 109 | 4.19 | 1.16 | 16% | 2nd | ||||
| Noah Cameron | KCR at CHC | 70 | 2.31 | 1.00 | 13% | 6th | I’ve harped on his rough schedule all season and it returns here w/a trip to Wrigley; 73% of his IP have come v. >.500 tms | |||
| Jake Irvin | WSN v CIN | 116 | 4.58 | 1.29 | 9% | 12th | ||||
| Colton Gordon | HOU at ARI | 52 | 4.67 | 1.42 | 15% | 9th | ||||
| Tyler Anderson | LAA at NYM | 101 | 4.34 | 1.41 | 10% | 17th | ||||
| Randy Vásquez | SDP at MIA | 94 | 3.80 | 1.39 | 1% | 15th | MIA now up to 15th in wOBA on the yr and 6th in the L30… not the auto-play with any arm these days | |||
| Bryce Elder | ATL v SFG | 79 | 5.65 | 1.51 | 12% | 22nd | ||||
| Sean Burke | CHW at TBR | 97 | 4.36 | 1.40 | 9% | 6th | ||||
| Walker Buehler | BOS at PHI | 78 | 6.12 | 1.56 | 8% | 13th | ||||
| Austin Gomber | COL v STL | 28 | 5.65 | 1.60 | 5% | 18th | Gomber his catching his former mates in horrendous form vL, sitting 30th over the L30, but is there even enough upside to chase here? | |||
| Ryan Brasier | CHC v KCR | 17 | 1.04 | 0.92 | 17% | 28th | Not sure who’s following him |
