Various News and Notes
Gavin Lux made his Major League debut on Monday. Lux went 2-for-5 in the game with three runs scored. He is one of the top prospects in all of baseball and should get a fair amount of playing time moving forward and is a must pick up in all formats.

Brandon Nimmo made his first start in a game since returning from the IL. Nimmo has missed the majority of the season with a bulging disc in his back but appears to finally be healthy enough to play. He is likely available in most leagues and has a ton of upside left for the rest of the season.

Mauricio Dubon hit his first Major League home run of his career on Monday. Dubon was acquired at the deadline by the Giants and he has a ton of upside with power and speed. The Giants waived Scooter Gennett and Joe Panik, so he has plenty of opportunities to play. He is worth the gamble in deeper formats.

Quick Hits
Orioles prospect Ryan Mountcastle is not going to be called up this season.

According to manager AJ Hinch, Kyle Tucker will be a “complementary player” for the Astros. Hinch wants Tucker to earn his playing time, but with the way Josh Reddick has played, he should be able to find his way into playing time.

Adam Eaton was removed from Monday’s game with renewed soreness in his knee. This seems like a minor issue as his x-ray on the injury was negative a few days ago.

Mitch Garver left Monday’s game with a jaw issue. Consider him day-to-day for now.

The Dodgers are planning on using Kenta Maeda out of the bullpen for the rest of the season.

Joc Pederson left Monday’s game with an abdominal injury. Pederson suffered the injury when he ran into a wall making a play. Consider him day-to-day for now.
