History is important:
Just because my video triggered some “old school” baseball people yesterday. Here’s 60 seconds of bat flips before millennials ever made it to the show pic.twitter.com/ldocmGWsTC

Various News and Notes
Andrew McCutchen left Monday’s game with a knee sprain after attempting to outrun and dodge a tag in a rundown. After the game, McCutchen did seem too worried about it with reporters, but it would later be revealed that he is expected to undergo an MRI today and then McCutchen tweeted this out:
Pray for me. Please

Consider him day-to-day for now. Adam Haseley is reportedly going to be recalled to take McCutchen’s spot on the roster. Haseley is a former first round pick from the 2017 MLB draft and doesn’t have a great fantasy profile. He projects to be more of an average Major League regular and a compiler in fantasy.
The Brewers activated Travis Shaw from the 10-Day IL. Shaw had struggled before being placed on the IL, hitting .163/.266/.281 with four home runs and no stolen bases. Shaw is coming off of huge back to back seasons in which he hit 31 and 32 homers. He will go back to playing every day at third base as the Brewers demoted top prospect Keston Hiura. Hiura was hitting .281/.333/.531 with five home runs in just 69 plate appearances. The demotion was a bit surprising, but the Brewers don’t have a ton of guys with minor league options and may need to trade someone to get Hiura back up to the Majors. Hiura has proven he can hit, so it is a matter of time before he is back for good.
Hunter Dozier was placed on the 10-Day IL with a chest injury. Dozier injured himself last week and was hoping to avoid the IL, but he was unable to recover quick enough to do so. He is expected to return fairly quickly after a minimum stay. The move is retroactive to May 31st. Cheslor Cuthbert is in line for more time with the Royals in his absence.

Is fg phasing out the roto riteup?
No, I was unable to do it yesterday due to an internet issue.
A fair number of those bat flips are not actually bat flips. I would also bet that most of them were game changing home runs, not a guy hitting a juiced ball solo shot in a 10-2 game. While emotion is a great thing to see in certain situations, I just can’t understand the media and MLB’s obsession with thinking bat flips are exciting and make the game better. Bat flips are not impressive, anyone can do them. Great baseball is impressive.
I don’t think the media or MLB is trying to make bat flips something they are not. Fact is, they matter to the players, and fans are interested to know the stories behind them. Bat flips are often conscious decisions, whether they be the meaningless self-indulgences of immature players, the expressions of joy at turning a game, or the opportune interjections directed at the opposing teams and pitchers. I always enjoy watching players run the bases after they hit a home run. You know it is a big moment for them, It is interesting to see how they express it, if at all.
bautista did his most famous one after doing something pretty game-changing and people still got mad about it. meanwhile the koreans do awesome bat flips all day and everyone has fun. consider relaxing
I think Haseley could be Max Kepler-ish which I would take as a Phillies fan and makes for a decent 4th outfielder in fantasy.
