Still one of my favorite plays in sports:

Trade Rumors

According to Jim Bowden of The Athletic, the Cubs are likely to move Owen Cassie at the deadline. Bowden mentioned starting pitching as the return for the top prospect. Cassie has been good in AAA, hitting .280/.388/.566 with 16 home runs and three stolen bases, but he has struck out at a 30% clip and the biggest question mark for him is his hit tool.

According to Jim Bowden of the Athletic, the Cubs may look to move Harry Ford at the deadline. Ford has been great at AAA, hitting .308/.425/.470 with nine home runs and four stolen bases, however, the Mariners are set behind the plate with Cal Raleigh having an MVP caliber season. If Ford was to be moved, he would likely be a really interesting second half call up.

Quick Hits
Jacob Wilson윌슨 left Tuesday’s game after being hit with a pitch.

X-rays were negative so it appears he avoided serious injury. Consider him day-to-day at this time.

Various News and Notes
Colt Keith went 2-for-3 with a home run in the victory over the Rays on Tuesday.

Keith had a slow start to the season, but he has been great over the last three weeks, hitting .333 with four home runs in his last 57 at bats. He is already eligible at first base and second base and will pick up third base eligibility soon. The 23-year-old has always made good contact, but the power appears to be developing and that could make him a very interesting fantasy option down the stretch.

Jake Burger went 3-for-5 with a home run in the victory over the Angels on Tuesday.

Burger has been up and down this season, but there is a ton of power in the bat and when he is locked in, he can generate a lot of counting stats for fantasy. He has been hot to start the month, so it may be time to ride the streak.

Davis Schneider went 1-for-4 with a home run in the victory over the White Sox on Tuesday.

Schneider has struggled this season, hitting .219/.352/.411 with four home runs, but he has been hot lately, hitting three home runs with a .294 average and walking at a double digit rate in his last 12 games. Schneider has good control of the strikezone, but still does not make enough in-zone contact which leads to prolonged slumps. He is hot right now, but it likely won’t last long.

Streaming Pitchers (Under 50% in CBS)

Pitcher for Today: Andre Pallante vs WAS

Pallante has pitched great recently and has a good matchup at home.

Other Options: Cameron Schlittler vs SEA, Kumar Rocker at LAA, Eric Lauer 라우어 at CHW, Adrian Houser vs TOR, Slade Cecconi atHOU, Brandon Walter vs CLE, David Festa vs CHC, Logan Evans at NYY, Jose Quintana vs LAD, Bailey Falter at KC,

Pitcher for Tomorrow: Charlie Morton vs NYM

Morton has been great recently but there is some risk here with the Mets lineup.

Other Options: Eduardo Rodriguez at SD, JP Sears vs ATL, Logan T. Allen at CHW, Jonathan Cannon vs CLE.

For those of you that would like to see how these picks play out, I have a doc I put together to track the stats from my recommended pitchers. It does not include the “Other Options.”
