The Sleeper and the Bust DFS Contest
Every week the Sleeper and the Bust podcast hosts a DFS contest for the podcast. This week’s winner is Derek Van Riper!

Trade Rumors!
According to MLB.com, the Rays have expressed interest in Jesus Aguilar. This seems like a weird rumor considering the Rays have trouble getting one of their top rookies in Nate Lowe into the lineup regularly because of Ji-Man Choi’s presence on the roster. This may be one of those rumors floated out there for fun.

According to multiple outlets, the Yankees are talking to the Diamondbacks about Robbie Ray, This has been a pretty persistent rumor over the last few weeks. Ray is having a very nice season, but would definitely be hurt by a move out of Arizona and the humidor in Chase Field.

Various News and Notes
Miguel Sano went 2-for-6 with two home runs in the loss to the Yankees. Sano missed the first month and a half of the season with a heel injury, but still has 16 homers on the year. He strikes out a ton, but also has a 12% walk rate, making him a much stronger play in OBP formats.

Rougned Odor hit two home runs on Tuesday versus the MAriners. Odor is on a bit of a heater right now, with four home runs in his last five games. He now has 17 home runs and seven stolen bases on the year. His average is terrible, but it was a matter of time before the hard-hitting Odor went on a hot streak.

Danny Duffy went six innings, allowing one run and striking out 11 versus the Braves. Duffy has been much better as of late and six of his last eight starts have resulted in a quality start. Duffy gets ignored pitching in Kansas City, but he is starting to become an interesting pitcher for deeper formats.

Dallas Keuchel matched Duffy’s showing with a gem of his own versus the Royals. He threw six innings, allowing two runs and striking out 12. Keuchel is not typically a strikeout guy, but facing the Royals definitely helped that. He has been decent since making his debut, but Keuchel is more name value than fantasy valuable at this point.

Trea Turner hit for the cycle for the second time this season. The home run he hit to lead off the game helped him pass Alfonso Soriano for first in leadoff home runs Nationals history. Not fantasy related, but pretty cool.

Robinson Cano hit three home runs off of Chris Paddack on Tuesday. Cano is starting to turn things around after a rough start to his Mets career. He now has five home runs and is hitting .305 for the month of July.

Quick Hits
Joey Gallo left Tuesday’s game with a wrist issue. Consider him day-to-day at this time.

Gary Sanchez left Tuesday’s game with a groin injury. Manager Aaron Boone stated that Sanchez could hit the IL on Wednesday.

Domingo Santana left Tuesday’s game with a sore elbow. He is expected to get an MRI on Wednesday.

The Rangers demoted Ronald Guzman to the minor leagues.

Ryan Pressly is day to day with a right knee issue.

Byron Buxton will not be activated right away after having his wisdom teeth removed.

Dee Gordon was placed on the 10-Day IL with a quad injury.
