Trade Rumors!
According to Jon Heyman, the Rays and Rangers have discussed Hunter Pence. Pence is having a huge bounceback season and back to being healthy after missing time recently. He would likely come cheaply considering he is on a one-year deal.

According to Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic, the Indians, Dodgers, and Braves are interested in Orioles reliever Mychal Givens. Givens has been up and down this season, but any move away from Camden Yards would likely benefit him, though he would be unlikely to get save opportunities in Los Angeles or Cleveland.

Rosenthal also reported that the Yankees have been scouting Mike Minor. The Yankees have been connected to a number of starters with the setbacks of Luis Severino. Minor has pitched well for the last season and a half and would be a nice get for the Yankees with another year of control after 2019.

Various News and Notes
Robel Garcia went one for four with this home run:

Garcia is hitting .286 with four home runs and playing fairly regularly for the Cubs. This is a hot streak that isn’t necessarily worth riding. Garcia has shown no plate discipline, but he does have some pop. This will probably end badly for the 26-year-old that has been playing the last few years in Italy.

Sam Dyson recorded his second save of the season for the Giants against the Cubs. Dyson was filling in for Will Smith who was unavailable. Smith has been a popular name in trade rumors this season, so it seems likely the Giants move him at the deadline unless this hot streak forces them to try and compete. Dyson, who has been rumored in trade talks as well, is likely the next man up for the Giants if Smith is traded.

Hanser Alberto went 3-for-4 with a home run versus the Diamondbacks on Monday. Alberto has crushed left-handed pitching this year to the tune of a .409/.419/.543 triple slash. He has multiple positional eligibilities and has hit lead off for the Orioles in 22 games this season. He is worth rostering in deeper league, but more of a cheap play in DFS when he is facing a lefty.

Nathan Eovaldi struggled in his first appearance off of the IL, giving up three runs in two-thirds of an inning. Considering the Red Sox are being connected to just about every reliever on the trade market, it seems unlikely that Eovaldi will be getting a shot at the closer role any time soon.

Quick Hits
Yandy Diaz left Monday’s game after fouling a pitch off of his foot. He will undergo x-rays today. Consider him day to day for now.

After further examination, Brandon Woodruff is expected to miss six weeks with his strained oblique.

Matt Carpenter is expected to return from the IL on Friday.

Streaming Pitching Options (Less than 50% owned)
Pitcher for Today: None

High Risk Options: Aaron Sanchez vs CLE
I don’t even really like Aaron Sanchez here in this slate, but I had to put someone, I guess.

Pitcher for Tomorrow: Tyler Beede vs CHC
Beede has been fantastic lately and is nice gamble at home.

High Risk Options: Reynaldo Lopez vs MIA, Mike Leake vs TEX

Hooray for Ashlynn and all the girls who don’t accept the limitations placed upon them, mostly by narrow-minded men. You go, girl!
