The Sleeper and the Bust DFS Contest
Every week the Sleeper and the Bust podcast hosts a DFS contest for the podcast. The winner gets a shoutout on the Roto Riteup and on the podcast as well as my and Paul Sporer’s hard-earned cash. You can enter this week’s contest here:

Various News and Notes
A.J. Puk has been called up to the Majors by the Oakland Athletics. Puk is the #2 prospect for the A’s, but has battled injuries that have slowed his rise to the Majors. He will pitch out of the bullpen for the A’s, but is worth a pickup in keeper formats where he is still available.

Chris Sale is expected to miss six weeks after his second opinion from Dr. James Andrews revealed no structural damage other than inflammation. This effectively ends his season for fantasy purposes, but he should be good for the playoffs (if the Red Sox make them) and the 2020 season.

Travis Demeritte went three for five with a home run on Monday. Demeritte has played well since making his debut for the Tigers after being acquired in the Shane Greene trade. He has two homers and three stolen bases thus far and is playing himself into a full time role for next year. Demeritte is a former top prospect, but appears to have finally found his way.

Shohei Ohtani went two for four with a stolen base on Monday. Ohtani is now hitting .302/.362/.525 with 16 home runs and 11 stolen bases in just 355 plate appearances. Ohtani is proving that he can hit like a stud and could become one of the most valuable players in daily leagues next season if he can get back to being the pitcher he flashed last season as well.

Quick Hits
Brian Dozier has been placed on the Paternity List. He will miss the next three games.

The Braves claimed Billy Hamilton off of waivers from the Royals.

Danny Santana left Monday’s game with hamstring tightness. He is considered day-to-day at this time.

Carlos Correa left Monday’s game with a back issue. He is considered day-to-day for now, but this has hampered him in the past, so it is very concerning.

Nomar Mazara left Monday’s game with an oblique injury. If he needs to hit the IL, it could mean the end of his season with such little time left.

Joe Ross was forced out of his start on Monday after being hit in the leg with a comebacker. Ross was cruising through 3.2 innings, so it is disappointing. X-rays came back negative after the game, so it appears he avoided serious injury.

The Rays demoted Brendan McKay.

Streaming Pitching Options (Less than 50% owned)
Pitcher for Tomorrow: None
A lot of options and they are all bad.

High Risk Options: Kyle Freeland at ARI, Spencer Turnbull at HOU

Pitcher for Tomorrow: Mike Montgomery at BAL
There’s risk here because the Orioles have pop, but it’s a nice matchup and Montgomery has pitched well as of late.

High Risk Options: Dereck Rodriguez at CHC

Time to drop McKay? 12 team keep 10 no cost. Probably won’t keep him but not sure if I should hold so no one else can. and he’s burning up both an SP spot and UTL spot.
