Paul Sporer: Hey y’all. Let’s get started! Still all bout that Coloring Book right now:
2:01
The Cincinnati Kid: Would you trade Beltre & Hamilton (Kept in Rd 19) for Blackmon? Beltre and Blackmon cannot be kept. Am I greedy for wanting to get a pick back for Hamilton?
2:01
Paul Sporer: Josh Hamilton? Yes. He’s useless. I’d do the deal
2:01
Junior Felix: Do you find it at all suspicious that Felix hit the DL with a calf strain? Will the few weeks off turn out to be a blessing for The King?
2:02
Paul Sporer: Not suspicious. if you’re suggested it might be a little trumped up, you may well be right. doesn’t bother me. I was calling for that kind of stint for Harvey, but he might’ve worked through it v. CWS
2:02
Astro Boy: Do we see both Bregman and Reed come up in June? Who do you like better long-term?
2:03
Paul Sporer: I have no idea on call-ups. And honestly, it’s because the teams don’t know either. I know you’re looking for my best guess, but I have to be straight when I tell you it’s useless. That said, I’ll still offer it up since you were nice enough to drop by & ask! I see Reed this month and Bregman in July if 3B continues to be a hole, but only if they’re still contending
2:03
Tony: Michael Fulmer sure looks amazing these days. You a big fan?
2:05
Paul Sporer: I was a fan from the jump, but he struggled and I honestly thought his days were numbered with Greene headed back (though let’s be honest, Greene should replace Pelfrey or Sanchez – at least Sanchy just went to the pen), but Greene isn’t ready and Fulmer has beasted and now given himself a legit leash.
2:05
Paul Sporer: Maybe Minnesota should’ve given Berrios longer. Maybe these guys just need 4-5 starts to get going. This just in: MLB is hard af!
2:05
WAWAR: Joe Musgrove… when do we see him and how does he compare to McCullers and McHugh?
2:06
Paul Sporer: I really like him and I think he’s a prospect who could outplay his prospect status. His stuff isn’t like McCullers’, but it’s better than McHugh’s and he has fantastic command. I’d stash in deep leagues (AL-only… or at least like 20 teams for mixers)
2:06
Make FanGraphs Great Again: What is your thoughts on Marco Estrada and Tanner Roark ROS? I feel like these dudes consistently get ZERO Respek.
2:07
Paul Sporer: You’re right and I’m part of it w/Estrada. I didn’t see him being more than a mid-3.00s guy this year. He’s great at inducing poor contact and he’s doing it even better than he did last year which is amazing. Both are solid arms. I was excited about Roark going back to the rotation after reading up on him this winter, so I’m not as shocked by him
2:07
Jacko: Estrada at Bos or Rodon at Det this weekend?
2:07
Paul Sporer: Don’t love either, but you gotta go Estrada between those two. He’s pitching SO well that he may even be able to handle the juggernaut
2:07
PR: pls help me and rate these mediocre pitching options: Sabathia, Anibal, Peavy, Chris Young. thx!
2:08
Paul Sporer: Sabathia, Christian Bethancourt, Peavy, a chair, an empty spot that automatically draws a 5.00 ERA every fifth day, Sanchez, my dog Charlotte, Chris Young
2:08
AL Pitching Coach: Are Joe Musgrove and Daniel Mengden the best 2 American League starters next to make their MLB debuts?
2:08
Paul Sporer: I can see that
2:08
Russell Archer: Need K’s (leading in WHIP and ERA), Who should I target pitching wise If I’m open to flipping G. Cole and Fulmer?
2:09
Paul Sporer: I’d just hold them. Cole still has tons of K potential and Fulmer has been tapping into his lately. If you’re deadset on trading, sort by K leaders and go
2:10
Saves Vulture: Top 3 next in line save candidates for both leagues?
2:11
Paul Sporer: So six guys? Relax on that one. That’s a pretty aggressive ask. Giles, Kelley, and Oh
2:11
Clint: Shoemaker a must add at this point, where do you land on Robbie Ray?
2:11
Paul Sporer: How many teams?
2:11
Paul Sporer: Please include your league context with these questions or I really can’t give you good answers. Shoemaker is a must-add in AL-only (probably on a team), but still fringe in most mixers. Not sure I even add him in 10-team
2:12
Gomer : Is Yan Gomes a good buy low candidate? I’m in need of a starting catcher but his 2016 numbers are awfully uninspiring.
2:13
Paul Sporer: Ya I mean, he’s OK bc he’s been SO bad and unless he’s hurt, he has to improve. C has been god-awful this year. Could also buy Norris who is similarly so low that he almost can’t go anywhere but back up
2:13
Billy Beane: Has Sean Manaea shown you anything over the past few starts that makes you trust him ROS?
2:13
Paul Sporer: I
2:15
Paul Sporer: I’ve been huge on Manaea this year so I’m glad to see him settling in. Could’ve easily been sent out after at BOS start but I’m glad they resisted. Nothing MAJOR over the last four except that he’s pitching more as opposed to just throwing and hoping to dominate. Generic, but also true
2:15
I Love Twinkies: Is Trevor May still the likely closer in Minny when Jepsen invariably implodes again? When is Perkins likely to return?
2:16
Paul Sporer: It’s May rn, but Perk will prob get the gig back when he returns (which still feels at least a couple weeks out)
2:16
msp: Would you trade Goldy and Lucas GIoliti for Trout in annual redraft? I have a weak OF but very limited 1b replacements as well. Thoughts?
2:17
Paul Sporer: Yeah, that’s easy in a redraft. Probably even in a dynasty, tbh
2:17
Russell Archer: Grandal or should I swap him for Gattis when Gattis gains C eligibility?
2:17
Paul Sporer: I’m a Grandal honk and not much for Gattis, but I gotta go Gatty
2:17
Tony: Talk to me about Tropeano. I’m half terrified and half loving having him on my team. What should I expect going forward?
2:18
Paul Sporer: The travails of using young pitchers. The 3.25/1.55 ERA/WHIP combo doesn’t match and it’s the WHIP is realer of the two unfortunately.
2:19
Tom Brady: Dickerson turn things around in TB? Seems to be hitting better of late.
2:19
Paul Sporer: Let’s hope. He’s had a few spurts, but nothing consistent.
2:19
Bob: Hey Paul! I need steals in a Roto OBP. Who do I drop Duvall for? Buxton, Burns, Rajai or Gardner?
2:20
Paul Sporer: Can you not flip Duvall? That’s some big pop. Although with all of those guys available, it seems like a shallower lg. I’d go big w/Buxton
Paul Sporer: Please don’t repeat your questions. The queue fills fast so I’m going as quickly as I can
2:20
Zych Zach: When should we expect to see Tony Zych return? Is he worth holding on to right now in an AL-only? I’m in contention so every roster spot is vital.
2:21
Paul Sporer: Big fan, but I think you can find comparable or better even in AL
2:21
Zorak: Need a Sano replacement: Nab Valencia and his power or stick with my multi-pos backup Harrison and nab Bregman?
2:21
Paul Sporer: I’ve been wrong on Valencia, so go ahead and ride the wave.
2:21
Hannah Hochevar: Hi Paul. Thanks for chatting. You’ve seemed a little higher on post-Searage Happ than Eno. Would you do Tulo/Trumbo/Archer for Happ/Correa/Brantley in AL Only? Thanks bundles!
2:22
Paul Sporer: Yeah I’d do that. I think Trumbo is doing his normal fast start and I’m legit concerned about Archer and just think it’s going to be a meh year (assuming health isn’t the reason behind this)
2:22
Jack: Talk to me about Matt Shoemaker. Increased splitter usage was really working against your Tigers last night (lots of swinging strikes, and lots of weak contact). Even though he gave up 10 hits, he passed the eye test. For a guy that’s probably available in most leagues, are you buying him as worthy of a spot in those leagues?
Paul Sporer: He’s gotta keep the ball down. He’s absolutely dead when he’s middle & up
2:23
Young Jeezy: Your thoughts on Gerrit Cole? Better days ahead?
2:24
Paul Sporer: ya, he’s been dodging some raindrops to get that ERA and it will go up if he maintains this WHIP, but I expect the WHIP to improve with some of his talent and make the ERA more “real”
2:24
Legion: Who do you like better with respect to counting stats: M. Fulmer or M. Shoemaker? H2H, Redraft. Sadly, wins are the goal here.
2:25
Paul Sporer: Fulmer
2:25
Tony: Before the season I had traded Frazier and Polanco for Donaldson. Now i am strongly regretting that. My OF currently is Springer, Heyward, Valencia, Maybin, Grichuk. (14 team, OBP, 3 OF spots.) While Donaldson hasnt been bad, Frazier and Polanco have been awesome
2:26
Paul Sporer: Yeah, it’s def not your favorite deal at this point. I really like Frazier and pegged Polanco for a breakout this year so I hope I didn’t encourage you to do that deal as it doesn’t seem like one I’d OK even though Donaldson is the best player in the deal
2:26
Czarcasm: Lester/Justin Turner or Kluber/Matt Carpenter….which side you want ROS?
2:26
Paul Sporer: Gimme side A barely
2:26
Urias Tract: Did you see Urias K Russell on that change? Beautiful.
2:26
Paul Sporer: He’s gonna be dope af
2:27
Turd Ferguson: Sporer, you da man! In a shallow 10 team points league: his Correa, C Davis, Maeda for my Segura, Belt, Keuchel, Chapman is a take, no?
2:27
Paul Sporer: Scoop that noise! You want star power in 10-teamer. Correa/Davis are stars. Chappy the only bona fide start his position that you’re relinquishing
2:27
Yancy From Fort Myers: I know you can’t plug outside stuff of yours on here like twitch (FOLLOW PAULIE ON TWITCH @ twitch.tv/psporer24), so I won’t ask you to talk about your twitch streams of MLB The Show which I absolutely love as a TV replacement. So… had any good burgers recerntly?
2:28
Paul Sporer: LOL, I can plug my other stuff. FG is very chill. Plus it’s not really a conflict. I stream at night and often discuss the greatness of Fangraphs, whether it’s my work or our robust stats pages! But yeah, if you want to hang out and discuss baseball several nights a week, check it out.
2:29
Paul Sporer: Most dismiss it out of hand as “I’m not watching someone play video games!!”, but it’s really not that much different than this except you can see my dumb face and lots of Charlotte!
2:29
Czarcasm: I thought you said you and Jason would be podcasting on Sunday. I was there waiting for you. I’m not sure this long distance relationship is going to work out. Are you cheating on me with another podcast?
2:29
Paul Sporer: LOL. I tried to leave it open in case we didn’t post. I was admittedly the one who didn’t wanna go.
2:29
JB: Should I deal Trumbo? Who do you think I could target for him?
2:29
Paul Sporer: Yes. Whatever you need. You can ask for something signfiicant.
2:29
Paul Sporer: significant*
2:30
DutchDaulton4Prez: Now that Mackinin has said Tommy Joseph will get a few starts in a row, is he worth a pickup where he has C eligibility? I mean, he can’t be any worse than Ryan Howard, and it’s not like trotting Howard out there 4 days a week is going to make any contender want to trade a prospect for that dumpster fire…
2:31
Paul Sporer: NL-only for sure. Maybe deep mixers just bc C has been so brutal
2:32
Hannah Hochevar: Best track on the recent Action Bronson album was the one with the Chance guest spot, but Bronson holds his own in earlier mixtapes, in case you’re unfamiliar. Lots of sports refs too, like Larry Csonka.
2:32
Paul Sporer: Which mixtape should I listen to first from him?
2:32
Yancy From Fort Myers: Did you see me lose your Sporer Draft Kings league by .05 points last night? Brutal. Keep making the leagues and I’ll play them!
2:32
Paul Sporer: OMG that’s brutal. I didn’t see it bc i was toast early and didn’t check much
2:33
JP: Which side: Kluber/Kipnis/Casilla for Villar/Pedroia and a draft pick?
2:33
Paul Sporer: Probably side A, but needs can easily make it a really good deal for B. It’s fair even with neutral needs
2:33
The Cincinnati Kid: Billy Hamilton (Rd 19) & Beltre for Blackmon. Should I get a pick back for Hamilton? (Josh Hamilton will sooner by playing in my fantasy league than in MLB…) 🙂
2:34
Paul Sporer: Oh it’s Billy. I mean, I’m just so out on B Ham, but ya you can ask for the pick
2:34
John: Drew Smyly for Evan Longoria which side wins in an AL only Roto?
2:34
Paul Sporer: Longo slightly, but super-fair
2:34
Make FanGraphs Great Again: What kind of SP should I target for Story?
2:34
Paul Sporer: A good one
2:35
Paul Sporer: Y’all, I don’t mean to glib, but I really can’t identify what you should be targeting for a particular player. Each market is vastly different and you’re going to know your league best. I used to try to identify names and then I’d always get “well the guys in my league would never do him, him, or him”… so it’s really hard to get specific
2:35
Paul Sporer: But you should pull a real arm for Story. He’s a high quality fantasy SS
2:35
Clint: Trea Turner, I’m starting to worry that even if he’s called up, Dusty will lean on the vets, thoughts?
2:35
Paul Sporer: Yeah that’s Dusty’s MO even more than the using SPs too long thing
2:35
JMac: Velasquez or Nola. Who has the best career?
2:36
Paul Sporer: I’ll say Nola despite my VV love
2:36
Gavin: Trade Sam Dyson and V Velasquez for Harvey in a 12-teamer?
2:36
Paul Sporer: I can do that
2:36
Josh: 12-tm keeper league: trade away $1 Matz (goes to $11 next year), $2 Wainwright and $1 Colome for $22 Arrieta and (non-keepable) Lackey?
2:36
Paul Sporer: Sounds like you’re pushing in the chips, so yes, let’s roll
2:37
Tom Brady: We in for a 4 hour chat today?!
2:37
Paul Sporer: Nah, not quite a marathon sesh today
2:38
JB: Meaning, will Trumbo regress, or is his torrid start sustainable? If he will regress, do you think it is worth selling him high now?
2:38
Paul Sporer: Ya, I just think this is normal Trumbo. He’ll pop 30+ but it’ll die down in the summer, IMO
2:38
Airwolf: Can Ian Desmond keep this up or will the regression fairies come for him?
2:39
Paul Sporer: Looks to be in line with 2012-14. I love Ian Desmond. 3x 20-20 guy and still went 19-13 last year in a bad season
I did it all for the Mookie: Traded Bradley jr/Price to the resident Sox fan in my pool for Mookie and Cano about a week ago. Debating offering him back Mookie for Bryant and Salazar – good idea?
2:40
Paul Sporer: Yeah, definitely. How’d the Red Sox lover give up Mookie? Even if it was for 2 Red Sox!
2:40
Karl Farbman: Hey Paul, love the podcast(s), in a 10 team mixed H2H points 4 OF league with a Util spot I have Betts, Cain, and McCutchen – who should I drop? Mazara, Odubel, or Heyward?
2:41
Paul Sporer: Damn, that’s tough. Even though he literally just hit a homer, I think it’s Heyward
2:41
Batman: Just want to say Fulmer angers me. Stashed him early. Waited 4 starts ,and he couldn’t make it out of the 5th inning, drop him . Then BAM!! Starts going off and was too low on WW to get him back. 🙁 How many starts is reasonable to wait out these “prospects”??
2:42
Paul Sporer: I’m actually studying that exact thing rn. I think we might have to allow a grace period with these guys. The overwhelming majority will not be dominant right away but 3-4 bad ones to start doesn’t mean they’re 100% not ready, either. Manaea looked not-ready early on, but then really got it together and looks SO much sharper now
2:42
Paul Sporer: Fulmer actually *looked* better than his numbers early on, but I still worried he could get sent back out. Thankfully he didn’t.
2:43
S. Porer: Eno’s crazy for having Samardzija 40th in his latest ranks, right? Behind Eovaldi and Zimmerman? Huh?
2:45
Paul Sporer: I have him higher
2:45
Mike: Danny Valencia or Jake Lamb as Miguel Sano fill-in? Love Lamb killing RHP and Valencia LHP, obviously more RHP but Valencia is better against same-handedness than Lamb.
2:45
Paul Sporer: Ya, Valencia has greatly improved v. righties somehow so I’d lean him
2:46
Josh: 12-tm keeper league: my $1 Matz (goes to $11 next year), $2 Wainwright and $1 Colome for his $22 Arrieta and (non-keepable) Lackey?
2:46
Paul Sporer: damn you! you asked twice and tricked me into answering
2:46
Frank Abignale Jr: Heya, Paul! In case nobody gets to it before me – can we get the requisite weekly update on how you feel about JUpton? Keep burning the bench spot til he heats up? Does the homer mean anything?
2:46
Paul Sporer: I’m still not cutting him. I think the track record is good enough to hold still.
2:47
I did it all for the Mookie: Man, steals are tough to come by apart from the 1-dimensional Billy-burns types. Any legitimate dudes you see in line for a big SB run?
2:47
I did it all for the Mookie: standard 5X5 roto league for all my Qs….
2:47
Paul Sporer: Just the standard speed rabbits. Go buy low on Revere.
2:47
Teddy: Thoughts on Junior Guerra, can he keep this up?
2:47
Paul Sporer: That splitter is filth. I think he can stay solid (mid-3.00s, lotsa Ks)
2:47
Turd Ferguson: 10 team points: should I drop dookie Ben Revere for dookie Brett Gardner? Also is it dookie or dooky?
2:47
Paul Sporer: I think “ie” and I’d go Revere
2:47
hscer: Would there be anything more hilarious than a 30 HR Danny Espinosa season with an 82 wRC+
I did it all for the Mookie: shin-soo choo owner was without a DL spot and dropped him. Do you think he’s worth picknig up to stash on my DL for a bit then take a flyer?
2:49
Paul Sporer: Stash on DL til you NEED the spot
2:49
JalapEno: how many pitchers would you are start-every-time guys in a 12-team QS league? Top X SPs?
2:50
Paul Sporer: My list is probably bigger than most. I’d say top-50 or so. I’ve got someone like Odorizzi around 42 and I’m not picking-and-choosing with him. I just start him
2:50
Cameron: Have you seen Sandy Alcantarra pitch at all? Looks like an intriguing prospect to say the least.
2:50
Paul Sporer: I haven’t, sorry
2:50
Lenny: Shelby Miller worth a DL stash? Could he put it together in the 2nd half?
2:51
Paul Sporer: Pass. And that’s from the guy highest on Miller coming into the season. He’s just not the same. Mechanics are a mess. Maybe the DL stint gets him on track, but I’m all set.
2:53
Frank Abignale Jr: Oh also, think Russell Martin is back on track? He’s been decent, if wholly uninspiring, over the last week or two.
2:53
Paul Sporer: Ya, I feel like he’s working his way back. He was a nice track record buy low bc there certainly wasn’t much in the stats
2:53
Karl Farbman: 10 team H2H points so not keeping a bench full of hitters but I have Desmond, Kang, and Villar – who am I trading/keeping/cutting?
2:54
Paul Sporer: trade Kang (love him, but many do so his market will be best), keep Desi, and cut Villar… but don’t cut Villar. Just had to pick one to cut since you asked.
2:54
hscer: Justin Nicolino 10 K’s in last 11 innings. Has he figured something out or is he still John Lannan with fewer grounders and half the K’s?
2:54
Paul Sporer: Nah, not buying it.
2:56
Mike: Thoughts on a cutch for thor trade in a 12 team obp league?
2:57
Paul Sporer: Prefer Thor
2:58
CW: Manaea or Wacha in a 10 team keeper league?
2:59
Paul Sporer: I think Wacha is hurt so I’ll say Manaea. If Wacha gets right with a DL stint, I still really like him, but he’s hurt
2:59
Eric: Are you still “in on” Manaea in a keeper league? Thanks.
3:00
Paul Sporer: Def. Even before the good starts, I was still in on keeper lg
3:00
The Congo Hammer: I noticed that Danny Duffy has an insane 18.3% Swstrk on his FB, the highest of all his pitches! His velo has stayed high since moving from the bullpen, esp. for a lefty… How stoked are you on him?
3:01
Paul Sporer: Gonna be honest, I was out on Duffy. I just peeped his profile and wow. Gonna deep-dive after the chat
3:01
Eric: Who do you see being more likely for a 2nd half rebound: Parra or Pillar? Thanks
3:01
Paul Sporer: Parra (Gooo Coors!)
3:01
Chris: 10 team mixer (using QS and OBP instead of AVG and W) – I’m out in front but really struggling in ERA/WHIP. Do I sit on my SP (Scherzer, Grienke, Kluber, Stroman, Sanchez – TOR) or try to flip a bat for another SP (I’m leaning in R, HR, RBI)
3:03
Paul Sporer: I think I’d sit on that crew for now
3:03
Eric: Is Kendrys Morales “done” or will there be some second half value in OPS leagues? Thanks
3:05
Paul Sporer: His profile isn’t too far off from his history, so I’d actually be willing to bet on a rebound. K% up a little, more FB than normal, but not so far out of the ordinary that he can’t rebound
3:06
CW: Being offered two forms of a deal, would you take either? Profar/Gaus/D. Peralta for A. Jones/J. Lamb or Profar/Gaus for A. Jones? I would be receiving the Jones side. 10 team keeper league. Pitching is set for me, but nervous about Profar’s potential in keeper league.
3:06
Paul Sporer: 2nd deal if you’re gonna do it, but I think I prefer Profar-Gaus
3:07
Ken M: F*ck, Kill, Marry: Gausman, Eovaldo, Eno Sarris
3:07
Paul Sporer: LOL
3:07
The Congo Hammer: I know you’re not snorting Shoemaker, but did you know his fbv has been in the mid-90s for his past four starts with a solid 8.9 Swstrk? Eno tweeted me saying that maybe he can throw it harder by throwing it less often. Your thoughts?
3:13
Paul Sporer: That’s really impressive. I can buy that he’s getting more by using it less. I can buy that he can be a successful arm, but his margin for error remains low
3:13
Mike: Drop Wacha for Gregerson in a 10-team H2H redraft? Rotation is Kluber, Carrasco, Hamels, Cole, Quintana, Verlander and Wacha with Raisel on the DL. Thanks!
3:13
Paul Sporer: Ya that’s OK, but Giles could take that gig
3:13
Dan: Hi!
3:13
Paul Sporer: Hi!
3:13
Mo : Taillon or leake ROS roto???
3:14
Paul Sporer: How many tms? Leake has a high floor, but Taillon has a MUCH higher ceiling
3:14
Alex: Do you think Gregerson keeps the job all year? Weak ERA and another BS last night…
3:14
Paul Sporer: I do not.
3:14
Avi: Jose Ramirez, Pearce, Duvall, Grichuk available in a 10 team, 10 keeper 20 roster spot league. Would you drop Gardner for any of them? (They would be my LF)
3:15
Paul Sporer: I’d probably just sit tight. Gardner still has 5 HR/9 SB
3:15
Mookazela: Dropped Cuthbert for Kim, White for Dae Ho? I know this makes my team more Korean, but does it also make it better?
3:15
Paul Sporer: Ya I can get behind both
3:15
Bork: Hello, friend! I think I took a wrong turn somewhere.
3:16
Paul Sporer: It was probably at Albuquerque
3:16
tom: i dont know if i messed up but i gave up springer and hamels and got votto and archer in return.
3:16
Paul Sporer: I don’t think you messed up. I prefer what you gave, but you know Votto is one of my absolute faves and i think he will definitely get back on track. I’m less certain on Archer
3:17
Mookazela: Would you buy on BH Park right now? Seems like process wise he’s no worse than when he had his early May helium
3:18
Paul Sporer: Ya if you need power, jump on it!
3:18
Deeds: Which OF ROS, pts league: Puig, Parra, Myers, or L.Martin
3:22
Paul Sporer: Not a lot of separation there. I’d go Myers.
3:22
EKKO: Drop Pineda for Dickey in AL only?
3:22
Paul Sporer: Ya I’m OK w/that
3:23
Phil: Carlos Gomez with a couple hits and a SB since coming back. Are you buying back in or do you think he’ll replicate last year or worse?
3:23
Paul Sporer: If he’s healthy, he can have a nice 2H, but hard to know when he’s healthy
3:23
Chris: Drop Puig?
3:23
Paul Sporer: How many tms?
3:23
TB: Colome the closer next year in TB?
3:24
Paul Sporer: Doubtful. I wouldn’t speculate on closers for next year, though. Even the studliest studs aren’t GUARANTEED. Relieving is just so volatile
3:24
EKKO: Do you think Profar will be an AL only contributor this year?
3:24
Paul Sporer: Yes
3:24
CW: Contreras worth a grab in a 10 team keeper? Keep hearing rumblings he’ll be up this summer.
3:24
Paul Sporer: Willson? No.
3:24
Travis: Who would you rather have in a 12 team keeper? Donaldson or Kershaw & Jake Lamb?
3:25
Paul Sporer: Kersh/Lamb
3:25
Bob: FOLLOW UP: Yeah its a 10 teamer and I just grabbed Duvall last week. I can drop him, E Nunez or Schoop.
3:25
Paul Sporer: Word, easier to cut him in 10-teamer even w/that pop
3:25
snoo: I traded Keuchel two starts ago and wondering if I should’ve held longer…
3:26
Paul Sporer: I don’t think you should worry. What’d you get?
3:26
Minty: This isn’t even because it messed with me for fantasy, but why didn’t the Dodgers save Urias for the Saturday start against the Braves?
3:26
Paul Sporer: Maybe they just have confidence in him to let him go v. anyone
3:26
Behind the times.: I would love your opinion on two potential trades in a deep league. Was offered Hendricks for Matt Holliday and was also offered Kluber for Maeda + Holliday. Which would you take, if either?
3:26
Paul Sporer: Prefer Kluber
3:27
I’m not your buddy, Guyer: Thoughts on Jorge Soler’s increased playing time?
3:27
Paul Sporer: It can’t hurt, we only recently saw him cross the threshold of “a season’s worth of PA”. he’s at 640 with a 100 wRC+.
3:28
DeezForPrez: So done with Tyler White. I wanted to believe 🙁
3:28
Paul Sporer: Most wanted to
3:28
Chris: What could selling Matt Kemp or Pujols realistically net me in a trade? 10 team keeper
3:28
Paul Sporer: Not much
3:28
John: What would be a reasonable return for Ozuna?
3:28
Paul Sporer: Something good
3:28
Minty: With an offseason up ahead, which of Bregman/Correa plays SS next year? For keepers that could be a big deal.
3:28
Paul Sporer: Correa for sure
3:28
Bill: Have 2 OF spots left, who do you play: upton, melky, Khris Davis, Puig?
3:30
Paul Sporer: Davis and Melky for now. Puig nicked and Upton pretty blah
3:30
Paul Sporer: Gonna have to wrap it up here soon. Sorry for the shorter chat, but I gotta get some stuff done today
3:30
DeezForPrez: Mauer back to his old awesome self?
3:31
Paul Sporer: Looking strong. Problem is pwr doesn’t really carry 1B so he’s a CI-only
3:31
Rpo: Need some pitching help and have MI depth- Kipnis for Cole a sweet deal? Kang would fill in at MI
3:31
Paul Sporer: It is!
3:31
Oliver: Trade Hamels for JBJ?
3:31
Paul Sporer: Ya I’m OK with that
3:31
N.W.enO: You think Giles over Harris? Giles pitched the seventh last night.
3:33
Paul Sporer: Admittedly, I’m not as in tune w/Houston as I’d like to be bc they’re not on Time Warner (doesn’t have ROOT Sports for some damn reason) and blacked out on MLB.tv. I didn’t realize Harris was getting the 8th so much. Yeah, I’m gonna flip my answer to Harris. He’s been the 8th inn. guy for a while
3:33
Bill: 14 team redraft: was offered Kershaw, Franco, maybin, Colome for Trout+Bryant. Thoughts?
3:34
Paul Sporer: If you have spots that need filling, you can do it. But I prefer the duo
3:34
Henry: Ryu or Rodon ROS? 12 team H2H points league, daily transactions.
3:34
Paul Sporer: gamble on Ryu’s health
3:34
Minty: Being in a dynasty helps, but an AJ Reed stash doesn’t feel too great these days.
3:34
Paul Sporer: Understandable. This is the risk in those stashes
3:34
Kel: Been considering adding Michael Feliz in a 20 team 10×10. How successful is that kind guy been for you. I’m considering him Hwan Oh, Barraclough, and Zych.
3:34
Paul Sporer: I like it. I’d go Oh over Feliz, but Feliz 2nd
3:35
Henry: Better keeper prospect, next three years: Story, Shaw, or Piscotty?
3:35
Paul Sporer: Piscotty
3:35
Lupe: would you keep pineda in an AL only where your other starters are Darvish, McCullers, Gausman, and Kluber and there’s no bench?
3:35
Paul Sporer: If there’s no bench, I’d look for something better. I’m just so out on Pineda
3:35
Oliver: Thoughts on Eovaldi? Like him better than someone like Joe Ross?
3:36
Paul Sporer: Always been a HUGE fan. He’s putting it together and still just 26 y/o
3:36
Paul: Can I cut Franco if I need an OF? I have a waiver claim for Myers.
3:36
Paul Sporer: I’d rather not cut Franco
3:37
Foonoo: I thought Stroman would be better than this. Is there room for improvement?
3:37
Paul Sporer: There is, but he’s not a huge swing and miss guy so there was a downside
3:37
Steve: Do you think Mazara could be a top 40 keeper next year?
3:37
Paul Sporer: That’s aggressive. I wouldn’t go that high
3:37
Ausmus: Why do I always leave Verlander in too long? I know my bullpen sucks but I can’t just keep ruining good starts by letting JV give up HRs late, right?
3:37
Paul Sporer: it’s the bullpen and trusting the ace. Bad combo.,
3:37
Mike: Is Corey Seager a top 3 SS going forward this year? Only guys obviously ahead of him are Correa and Machado, no?
3:37
Paul Sporer: I can see it.
3:38
Graham: who would you take for the next 5 years, franco or nola?
3:38
Paul Sporer: Franco
3:38
Legion: Hey Paul, I think Trea Turner just got called up.
Karl Farbman: Darvish and Kang too much/little to give up for Votto in a 10 team H2H points keeper? Darvish is keepable in round 14, Kang in round 17, Votto not keepable
3:39
Paul Sporer: LOVE Votto, but it’s too much
3:40
Paul Sporer: OK y’all, I gotta roll. Thanks so much for coming out. I think we’ll get a longer chat going next week.

I’d likely enjoy your The Show streams except that I don’t watch streams with facecams because there is absolutely no reason for them, despite most streamers having them. I don’t want to see your (general use) face! It adds nothing to the stream in 99% of cases.
Also the one time I tuned in you were playing Drake and…yeah, not a fan. Not sure if you normally play music like that, but there’s no way I could take it.
This post has been very negative so far, but if there are people who don’t mind those two things I will heartily recommend tuning into Paul’s streams! Video game streams are fun in general, it’s like playing games with some buddies.
That’s interesting. I’m on the other side of the facecam camp. I much prefer streams that have them. Best part of the streaming community is the various offerings!
