MASH Report (8/18/14)
The MASH Report is little low on content today and the same will be true for Thursday. I will release a full PAIN and HURT reports on Friday when I get some extra time (kids are finally back in school).
• Gerrit Cole is expected to come off the DL on Wednesday.
• Yonder Alonso is done for the season, he is droppable in all redraft leagues.
• So are the Brewers Jim Henderson (link) and Tyler Thornburg.
• Joey Votto was placed on the 60-day DL, so the earliest he can possibly return to play is September 4th.
• It looks like David Wright (link) and Matt Holliday (link) will grind through the rest of the season with some nagging injuries.
• In deep keeper news, the Royals Kyle Zimmer is back and throwing hard.

Fastball Velocity Watch for Pitchers Returning From the DL
• Mike Morin’s aveage fastball velocity looks fine.
• Ricky Nolasco’s velocity was up about 1 mph over his 3-year-average.
• Henderson Alvarez’s is a little on the low side.

Do you think Bailey will return this season?
There is probably a chance. I dug a little further and found this:
An MRI exam on Wednesday revealed the injury. Bailey did not travel to Denver with the club and remains in Cincinnati.
“It certainly means there will be a week of no throwing and then we’ll reassess,” Price said. “He’ll start to play catch. How quickly he bounces back will directly correlate with how quickly we get him back.”
