Miguel Sanó is off the IL, starting at third base, and hitting cleanup.

Kevin Pillar (.624 OPS in June) has only started twice in the last nine games.

Astros

• Since being recalled, Joey Loperfido has started in five straight games.

Mauricio Dubón is still starting (started in 15 of the last 16).

Athletics

Tyler Nevin has started five straight games.

Armando Alvarez (.311/.401/.528 in AAA) has started two straight games (at 2B and 3B).

Lawrence Butler (vs RHP) and Daz Cameron (vs LHP) appear to be in a left field platoon.

Blue Jays

• There is a second base/third base/left field timeshare going on where Isiah Kiner-Falefa (.734 OPS) plays one of the spots every game and Spencer Horwitz (1.013), Davis Schneider (.733), Ernie Clement (.700), Addison Barger (.396) share the other two spots.

Guardians

Tyler Freeman (.593 OPS in June) is losing playing time. He has only started in seven of the last 10 games.

• With Will Brennan on the IL, Daniel Schneemann (.861 OPS) has started the last two games in right field.

Mariners

• With Jorge Polanco off the IL, Dylan Moore has only started in one of the last four games.

Orioles

Jorge Mateo (.729 OPS) and Ramón Urías (.649 OPS) split time in the infield.

Colton Cowser (.768 OPS) and Cedric Mullins (.664 OPS) split time in center field. Cowser will move to right field when Santander is the DH or sits.

Heston Kjerstad (vs RHP) and Austin Hays (vs LHP) are in a left field platoon.

Rangers

Leody Taveras is no longer facing lefties.

Derek Hill has started two straight games.

Rays

José Caballero (.658 OPS) has started in only six of the last 10 games.

• It’s tough to know if any of their platoons still exist (most likely yes) with 11 straight righty starters.

Red Sox

• Playing time for several guys is becoming and issue with almost everyone healthy. Enmanuel Valdez, David Hamilton, Ceddanne Rafaela, and Wilyer Abreu split time with three spots (second, short, and an outfield slot).

Royals

Michael Massey has started in three of four games since coming off the IL, all at DH.

Maikel Garcia has started four straight games at second base with Nick Loftin (.604 OPS) starting the last two games at third base.

Tigers

Ryan Kreidler (.452 OPS) and Zach McKinstry (.555 OPS) are splitting time at shortstop.

Twins

Austin Martin (.710 OPS, 1 HR, 6 SB) has only started in one of the last four games after starting five in a row.

White Sox

Andrew Benintendi (vs RHP) and Corey Julks (vs LHP) are in a left field platoon.

Danny Mendick (.548 OPS) and Nicky Lopez (.571 OPS) are splitting time at second base.

Yankees

• Since his debut, Ben Rice has started in seven of nine games while hitting .231/.323/.231.

DJ LeMahieu (vs LHP) and Oswaldo Cabrera (vs RHP) are in a third base platoon.

National League

Braves

Adam Duvall(.525 OPS), Forrest Wall (.663 OPS), and Ramón Laureano (.714 OPS) are splitting two outfield spot.

Brewers

Tyler Black (.627 OPS) started in four straight games once recalled but has sat in the last three.

Sal Frelick (.685), Blake Perkins (.684), and Jackson Chourio (.654) are splitting two outfield spots.

Cardinals

Willson Contreras is off the IL and hitting third.

José Fermín (vs LHP) and Nolan Gorman (vs RHP) might be in a second base platoon.

Cubs

Michael Busch bats second against righties.

Diamondbacks

Corbin Carroll (career .641 OPS vs LHP, .841 OPS vs RHP) has sat against two of the last three lefty starters.

Jake McCarthy (.748 OPS, 3 HR, 12 SB) has started seven straight games.

Dodgers

Miguel Vargas (.968 OPS) has started in five of the last eight games.

Giants

Brett Wisely (vs RHP, leads off) and Nick Ahmed (vs LHP) are in a shortstop platoon.

• Since being recalled, Luis Matos has started in five of six games while hitting 1.000 during that time.

Michael Conforto (vs RHP) and Austin Slater (vs LHP) are in an outfield platoon.

Marlins

Jesús Sánchez has started in 12 straight games including against four lefties.

Nick Gordon (.634 OPS) has started in nine of the last ten games.

Mets

• Since Starling Marte went on the IL, Tyrone Taylor (.656 OPS, 3 HR, 8 SB) has started in two of the three games. DJ Stewart (.686 OPS, 5 HR) started in the other one.

Nationals

Nick Senzel (vs RHP) was in a platoon with Trey Lipscomb (vs LHP) before Lipscomb was sent down.

Padres

Bryce Johnson (vs LHP) and David Peralta (vs RHP) are in a right field platoon with Fernando Tatis Jr. on the IL.

Kyle Higashioka (.761 OPS) is the primary catcher with Luis Campusano on the IL.

Phillies

• It’s going to get all mixed up with Bryce Harper and Kyle Schwarber headed to the IL.

Pirates

Connor Joe (.727 OPS), Rowdy Tellez (.617 OPS, only faces RHP), and Edward Olivares (.666 OPS) are splitting time at first base and right field.

Reds

• Coming off his suspension, Noelvi Marte hit fifth and played third base.

• Over the last three games (all vs RHP) Nick Martini, Stuart Fairchild, Will Benson, Levi Jordan, and Jake Fraley have started in the outfield.

Rockies

• Since coming off the IL, Brendan Rodgers is hitting second.

Jake Cave (vs RHP) and Sean Bouchard (vs LHP) are in a right field platoon.

M. Vargas has only played in 2 games beginning 6/22, on 6/24 and 6/25. And he only had 2 AB in each of those.
