American League

Angels

Tim Anderson (.422 OPS) and Kevin Newman (.273 OPS) split time at shortstop.

Astros

Mauricio Dubón doesn’t start against lefties.

Athletics

Brent Rooker with three games in the outfield.

• There is no regular third baseman with Max Schuemann, Luis Urías, and Gio Urshela starting last week.

Blue Jays

• The outfield is already crowded (Straw, Barger, Roden, Santander) with Springer and Varsho getting healthy. There likely won’t be enough playing to go around for the lesser bats.

Will Wagner and Ernie Clement split time at third base.

Guardians

• With Lane Thomas off the IL, Angel Martínez and Nolan Jones each started one game in right field.

Daniel Schneemann (.200/.273/.433, 2 HR) started in three of the last four games at second base.

Mariners

• With Dylan Moore moving to second base, Miles Mastrobuoni and Ben Williamson split time at third base.

Jorge Polanco is the DH and bats second but only against righties.

Orioles

Ramón Urías (.772 OPS) started the last two games at third base instead of Jordan Westburg (.591 OPS).

Rangers

Dustin Harris with three starts in left field over the last four games.

Rays

• Normal mess. The only regulars are Yandy Díaz and Junior Caminero. It won’t clear up with Chandler Simpson on the way.

Red Sox

Carlos Narvaez catches most games.

Royals

Drew Waters (vs RHP) and MJ Melendez (vs LHP) might be in a left field platoon.

Tigers

• It’s tough to determine if there are any patterns.

Zach McKinstry started in seven of the last eight games.

Twins

Edouard Julien hit leadoff for four straight games.

• While batting the bottom of the order, Brooks Lee has started in three of the last four games.

White Sox

Lenyn Sosa started nine straight games.

Chase Meidroth hit leadoff last game.

• The outfield playing time might clear up with Andrew Benintendi off the IL.

Yankees

• No changes from last week.

National League

Braves

• Check in on this lineup over the weekend with Marcell Ozuna (hip) sitting, Alex Verdugo promoted, and Bryan De La Cruz demoted.

Eli White (.571 OPS in 468 career PA) started four straight in the outfield.

Brewers

Garrett Mitchell (.655 OPS, 0 HR, 1 SB) started in centerfield against the last lefty.

• Speedster Caleb Durbin has been promoted. In AAA, he’s mainly played third base, so the Oliver Dunn/Vinny Capra platoon might be done.

Cardinals

Brendan Donovan started four games at shortstop.

• I’m not sure how much Thomas Saggese and Nolan Gorman will play going forward with Masyn Winn about to come off the IL.

Cubs

Jon Berti (.598 OPS) and Gage Workman (.697 OPS) split the first two games at third base after the demotion of Matt Shaw to AAA.

Diamondbacks

Garrett Hampson (.593 OPS) and Tim Tawa (.754 OPS) continue to split time at second base.

• Over the last 10 games, Alek Thomas (.766 OPS) started seven times and Jake McCarthy (.305 OPS) four times.

Dodgers

Michael Conforto moved up to batting fifth with Max Muncy moving down to seventh.

Giants

• No changes

Marlins

Jesús Sánchez sat against the first lefty starter since coming off the IL.

Griffin Conine (.831 OPS) started in 12 of the last 13 games.

Matt Mervis (vs RHP) and Eric Wagaman (vs LHP) form a first base platoon.

Mets

• Bretty Baty got two starts at third base in the last four games while hitting .375/.375/.563 this past week. The second base playing time situation is muddled with Baty, Luisangel Acuña, and Jeff McNeil (on a rehab assignment).

Tyrone Taylor started four straight in center field with Jose Siri on the IL.

Nationals

• With Paul DeJong on the IL, Amed Rosario starts at third base.

• With CJ Abrams on the IL, Nasim Nuñez (.801 OPS) started four straight at shortstop.

Jacob Young (.677 OPS) is losing centerfield reps to Dylan Crews (.324 OPS). I’m not sure why.

• Because all the middle infielders are banged up, Luis García Jr. starts every game. He normally sits against lefties.

Padres

Oscar Gonzalez (vs LHP) is now on the short side of the left field platoon with Jason Heyward (vs RHP) on the strong side.

• With Jake Cronenworth on the IL, Jose Iglesias started seven straight games at second base.

• The regular center fielder is unknown with Jackson Merrill and Brandon Lockridge on the IL. Jason Heyward (1 G) and Tyler Wade (2 G) have both played there so far.

Phillies

Bryson Stott (vs RHP) and Edmundo Sosa (vs LHP) platoon at second base.

• With Brandon Marsh (knee) banged up, Johan Rojas (.648 OPS) started in centerfield in four of the last five games.

Pirates

Enmanuel Valdez (.205/.295/.333) started the four games at first base.

Reds

• Since returning from the IL, Austin Hays has played every game and hits third or fourth.

• Several guys are or have been banged up, so it’s tough to get a read on the exact situation.

Rockies

Nick Martini (vs RHP) and Sean Bouchard (vs LHP) are in a right field platoon.

Adael Amador (6 K in 14 PA) started four straight games at second base while batting ninth.

Mickey Moniak (.225/.295/.475) started seven straight games.
