Justin Mason’s Top 50 Third Basemen: 2/11/2021
Rk | Player | Team | Position(s) | ADP | Notes |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Jose Ramirez | CLE | 3B | 11.4 | Easily a top 10 pick in fantasy this year. |
| Manny Machado | SD | 3B | 24.33 | In spite of what people think, he has never been anything but a stud. |
| Anthony Rendon | LAA | 3B | 43.54 | Safe floor and high ceiling |
| DJ LeMahieu | NYY | 1B, 2B, 3B | 33.58 | Landing back in New York was the best case scenario. |
| Nolan Arenado | STL | 3B | 35.15 | I don’t think the regression will be as bad as others do. |
| Rafael Devers | BOS | 3B | 44.54 | At some point he will hit 40+ bombs. |
| Alex Bregman | HOU | 3B | 46 | Could be a guy that is hurt by the change in the ball. Could easily move him down further. |
| Yoan Moncada | CWS | 3B | 82.63 | COVID sapped him, but supposedly he is good to go. |
| Eugenio Suarez | CIN | 3B | 83.23 | Power is legit, but that batting average cratering is scary. |
| Cavan Biggio | TOR | 2B, 3B, OF | 59.75 | Some concerns about where he hits in this lineup has me a bit concerned. |
| Max Muncy | LAD | 1B, 2B, 3B | 103.37 | Playoff performance makes me feel better about the disappointing 2020. |
| Alec Bohm | PHI | 1B, 3B | 104.98 | Perfect mix of upside and safe floor. |
| Ke’Bryan Hayes | PIT | 3B | 139.87 | Was really impressive in his small sample. |
| Matt Chapman | OAK | 3B | 117.6 | Injuries hurt him in 2020, but if healthy, he is a solid power bat that plays everyday. |
| Tommy Edman | STL | 2B, 3B, SS, OF | 126.02 | I think there is enough pop and speed with a great flexibility. |
| Kris Bryant | CHC | 3B | 136.12 | Last year was disappointing, but as long as he is healthy, he should rebound. |
| Andres Gimenez | CLE | 2B, 3B, SS | 153.79 | Cleveland is a great landing spot for Gimenez. |
| Jeff McNeil | NYM | 2B, 3B, OF | 89.25 | The power outage and 0-for-2 on the base paths has me very scared. |
| Josh Donaldson | MIN | 3B | 205.75 | Health is the only thing I am worried about. |
| Justin Turner | FA | 3B | 217.17 | Still thinks he ends up back in LA |
| Jean Segura | PHI | 2B, 3B | 188.29 | The stolen bases aren’t what they used to be, but he is a solid contributor. |
| Gio Urshela | NYY | 3B | 159.98 | Expected to ready for opening day, but we need to see him on the field. |
| Austin Riley | ATL | 3B | 204.81 | Still young enough to improve as long as the Braves don’t bring in someone else. |
| Brian Anderson | MIA | 3B | 219.44 | Boring name matches a boring profile. |
| J.D. Davis | NYM | 3B, OF | 232.56 | Rumors of the Mets wanting to trade for a 3B makes me worried about his playing time. |
| Eduardo Escobar | ARZ | 3B | 283.4 | He isn’t as bad as he was in 2020 and not as good as he was in 2019. |
| Evan Longoria | SF | 3B | 363.48 | Reliable bat that will play everyday and hit in the middle of the lineup. |
| Ryan McMahon | COL | 1B, 2B, 3B | 250.96 | Will Colorado actually play him? |
| Jeimer Candelario | DET | 1B, 3B | 242.73 | Going to hit fifth and should accumulate a decent enough stats to be usable. |
| Isiah Kiner-Falefa | TEX | 3B, SS | 287.02 | Locked into playing time now. |
| Kyle Seager | SEA | 3B | 258.02 | Compiler that should produce just enough. |
| David Fletcher | LAA | 2B, 3B, SS | 221.87 | Going to lead off, but has no power or speed. |
| Carter Kieboom | WAS | 3B | 425.25 | I still believe in the talent and the price is right. |
| Edwin Rios | LAD | 3B | 316.02 | If Turner goes somewhere else, Rios could be in for a big opportunity. |
| Yandy Diaz | TB | 3B | 431.08 | I don’t think we ever see the upside his muscles say is there. |
| Willi Castro | DET | 3B, SS | 251.25 | Showed more pop than I thought was there and less speed. Don’t know what to expect here. |
| Joey Wendle | TB | 2B, 3B, SS | 306.23 | Strong side platoon is still a platoon. |
| Luis Urias | MLW | 2B, 3B, SS | 376.69 | Should play every day, but bats at the bottom. |
| Isaac Paredes | DET | 3B | 494.44 | Could be interesting if he finds a full time role. |
| Maikel Franco | FA | 3B | 433.08 | Needs to find a team, but I think he will be a starter if he does. |
| Rio Ruiz | BAL | 3B | 491.75 | Going to play and hit for some power. |
| Matt Carpenter | STL | 3B | 544.35 | No longer a starter unless the DH comes to the NL. |
| David Bote | CHC | 2B, 3B | 458.63 | Super Utility guy that will have deep league value. |
| Marwin Gonzalez | FA | 1B, 2B, 3B, OF | 475.87 | I think he signs somewhere that he will get decent playing time. |
| Josh Harrison | WAS | 2B, 3B | 605.92 | Insurance for Kieboom. |
| Erik Gonzalez | PIT | 3B, SS | 540.44 | Will play everyday in Pittsburgh, but there is limited upside. |
| Mike Brosseau | TB | 1B, 2B, 3B | 421.04 | A better DFS play than a season long one. |
| Spencer Torkelson | DET | 3B | 529.98 | Don’t know when or if he will be up this year. |
| Abraham Toro | HOU | 3B | 645.83 | Blocked, but I think he has some skills. |
| Nolan Gorman | STL | 3B | 736.29 | The Arenado signing blocks him until the DH is in the NL, but he is ready offensively. |
