Randomly Add A Few More Wins Before Seasons’ End

In some leagues, certainly not all but some, when a fantasy manager runs out of starts, they can still collect stats from relievers. Some ESPN leagues are set up this way. They have a limit on starts, but no limit on innings pitched. The rule is put in place so that managers cannot stream a pitcher every single day of the season, effectively juicing their strikeout and, possibly, win counting stats. This strategy would almost certainly ruin ratios and should not be utilized. I would be curious to see a simulation of how a fantasy team’s ERA/WHIP would pan out if they streamed an average starter every day of the season, but that’s for another time.

Today, I’m writing this article to simply show 10 relievers who are not closers and have recorded the most wins this season. For those who have reached a starter max but can still record reliever innings, pick up these pitchers now! For those who just need a few more wins, start utilizing (if you haven’t already, why?!) the Roster Resource Closer Depth Chart and stream these pitchers in favorable matchups or after a day of rest. Here are the non-closer relievers who lead MLB in wins this season:

Non-closer Reliever Wins Leaders 2022

Predicting reliever wins is a difficult task. In fact, Steamer (ROS) is over it. If we look at all relievers (0 IP min) from 2021 and all relievers (0 IP min) from 2022, the correlation coefficient between their win totals is 0.42, good for a 0.17 R-squared. I’m also including pitchers who recorded zero wins in both years, which inflates the R-squared slightly, but still seems informative.

Reliever Wins Y-to-Y Scatter Plot

The fact that we see very few, if any, relievers in the top right corner of the graph shows just how unrepeatable high win totals can be for relievers across multiple years. However, in season, out of all relievers who collected at least one win by mid-July in 2021, 57% of them collected a second win in the remainder of the year. Change that threshold to at least two wins by mid-July, and 67% of those pitchers collected at least one win in the back half of the season. Here’s a breakdown:

Wins by Relievers, First Half to Second Half Comparison
Wins by mid-July Number of Relievers Number of Relievers in Group with At Least One Second Half Win % of Total
1 259 148 57.1%
2 159 107 67.3%
3 75 54 72.0%
4 38 31 81.6%
5 19 15 78.9%
6 8 7 87.5%
*Among all relievers in 2021, no IP min.
**Does not exclude closers

What can we make of this? Relievers who perform well enough to be awarded a win in the first half of the season continue to get chances in the second half of the season. This is probably still very random. If a reliever is used in the sixth, seventh, or eighth inning often, they are increasing their opportunities to snag wins. But even the correlation coefficient between first half of the season wins and second half of the season wins in 2021 was still only 0.38 (0.14 R-squared). Reliever wins are mostly random, just like the official scorer’s awarding of the win can sometimes be.

Take for example Diego Castillo’s most recent win which occurred on July 16th. First off, that was a long time ago and if you’re just looking at the table of relievers above and adding them to your roster, you’re not doing enough. Regardless, Castillo threw in a tied (2-2) bottom of the ninth inning against the Rangers. He walked a batter, forced a double-play ball, and then struck out the third batter he faced. The Mariners then scored in the top of the 10th and Matthew Festa shut the door to get the save, giving Castillo the win. However, Paul Sewald got three quick outs in the bottom of a tied (2-2) eighth inning and was awarded nothing! He didn’t even walk a batter as Castillo did. Castillo got the win, simply because his team scored in the half-inning after he pitched. Random.

If you’re here at FanGraphs reading about baseball, chances are you have heard about the randomness of the win. Some of you may have even dropped wins from your fantasy leagues’ roto categories. However, it remains a common category and I would bet that the vast majority of fantasy leagues still count the win. If that’s the case, and you could use a few more before the season ends, you should bank on the relievers who up until this point in the season have been recording wins. Just hope that you’re rostering them on the random day that they record another.

Note: All the lineups were based on games through Thursday. No Friday starts were considered.

American League

Angels

• Catcher-qualified Matt Thaiss (.308/.444/.752 and 2 HR in 39 PA) has started in five of the last seven games.

Matt Duffy (.589 OPS) has started in 11 of the last 13 games.

Astros

Chas McCormick (.723 OPS) starts two games in center and then Mauricio Dubón (.584 OPS) starts one.

Athletics

• The only rosterable players are Ramón Laureano, Sean Murphy, and Seth Brown (when he’s facing a bunch of righties).

Blue Jays

Santiago Espinal, Cavan Biggio, and Whit Merrifield are splitting time at second base.

Guardians

• Nothing actionable.

Mariners

• Another lineup without any changes.

Sam Haggerty (.807 OPS, 5 HR, 12 SB, 157 PA) had a run of four straight starts but it coincides with Mitch Haniger getting hurt.

Orioles

Cedric Mullins (.812 OPS vs RHP, .554 OPS vs LHP) is still sitting against lefties. Jesús Aguilar starts instead by moving guys around the DH position.

Gunnar Henderson (.890 OPS, 1 HR, 1 SB) has started in 13 of the last 14 games.

Rangers

Josh Smith (.563 OPS) has been promoted and has started in five of the last seven games, four in left field.

Rays

Wander Franco has started in seven of eight games since coming off the IL while hitting .276/.276/.345 during that time.

Red Sox

Triston Casas (.579 OPS) and Christian Arroyo (.737 OPS) are splitting time at first base.

Connor Wong (.250/.321/.458, 1 HR in 29 PA) has started in five of the last 10 games at catcher.

Royals

• The bottom four spots are just several guys cycling through with no one getting enough time to fantasy relevant.

Tigers

• Such a mess. It is tough to find full-time hitters in this lineup. Harold Castro, Riley Greene, and Javier Báez are the only regulars.

Twins

Luis Arraez does not start against lefties (.686 OPS vs LHP, .846 OPS vs RHP).

Nick Gordon has started in 18 straight games and is hitting .271/.314/.396 in September.

Gio Urshela (.273/.322/.425, 12 HR, 1 SB) has started 24 straight games.

White Sox

AJ Pollock, Andrew Vaughn, Gavin Sheets, and Luis Robert are sharing four outfield spots.

Yankees

Oswaldo Cabrera (.523 OPS) has started nine of 10 games and has hit fifth for four straight games.

Marwin Gonzalez (.596 OPS) has started eight of nine games at first base with Anthony Rizzo on the IL.

National League

Braves

• With second baseman Ozzie Albies off the IL, Vaughn Grissom will need a position, especially with Ronald Acuña Jr. as the primary DH.

Eddie Rosario (.575 OPS) and Marcell Ozuna (.664 OPS) are splitting time in left field.

Brewers

Garrett Mitchell (.518 OPS) and Tyrone Taylor (.717 OPS) are splitting time in center field.

Kolten Wong (vs RHP) and Luis Urías (vs LHP) are in a second base platoon.

Jace Peterson (vs RHP) and Mike Brosseau (vs LHP) are in a third base platoon.

Cardinals

Lars Nootbaar (.778 OPS, 12 HR, 4 SB) has dropped down the lineup and only started in five of the last seven games.

Albert Pujols (.854 OPS, 18 HR) has started five straight games, all against righties.

Brendan Donovan (.771 OPS, 4 HR, 2 SB) has leadoff for six of the last seven games.

Cubs

• An absolute mess trying to find full-time batters.

Diamondbacks

Stone Garrett (1.030 OPS) is still only facing lefties while Corbin Carroll is just facing righties.

Josh Rojas (vs RHP) and Emmanuel Rivera (vs LHP) are in a third base platoon.

David Villar is no longer getting full-time at-bats with the promotion of Willie Calhoun. Calhoun is only facing righties.

Marlins

Jordan Groshans (.266/.364/.334, 3 HR, 3 SB in 412 AAA PA) has started three straight at third base.

Bryan De La Cruz (.214/.261/.359 with 9 HR and 3 SB in 283 PA) has started four straight in the outfield.

Mets

• Top prospect, Mark Vientos (.877 OPS with 24 HR in AAA) is only starting against lefties.

Luis Guillorme is back and might start cutting into Eduardo Escobar’s production.

Nationals

Alex Call (.236/.288/.455 with 3 HR and 1 SB in 59 PA) has started in seven of the last eight games.

CJ Abrams (.311/.311/.400 with 0 HR and 1 SB in September) has started in 11 of the last 12 games.

Padres

Brandon Drury is off the IL, so Wil Myers will likely get moved to the bench.

Phillies

Nick Maton (1.079 OPS and 5 HR in 63 PA) has started in four of the last five games. He might just be on the strong side of a platoon.

Pirates

• The two outfield slots and the DH are being filled by five players (Ben Gamel, Cal Mitchell, Jack Suwinski, Greg Allen, and Diego Castillo)

Reds

Aristides Aquino has started 11 straight games while hitting .311/.367/.756 with 5 HR in September.

• There are too many infield regulars with two of Jonathan India, Kyle Farmer, Donovan Solano, Spencer Steer, Jose Barrero, and Matt Reynolds needing to sit each game.

Rockies

Michael Toglia (.220/.278/.460, 2 HR) is the latest Rockie to get a nice run of starts (14 straight) but I’m sure that will end for no reason in the next week.

Alan Trejo (.265/.306/.456 and 3 HR) has started eight of the last nine games at shortstop.

Austin Hays (.721 OPS) and Kyle Stowers (.622 OPS) are splitting one outfield spot.

Red Sox

Triston Casas (.863 OPS in AAA) has started five straight games with a 38% K% (61% fastballs) so far.

White Sox

Romy Gonzalez (.339/.356/.500, 2 HR) has started in 11 of the last 13 games.

National League

Braves

Robbie Grossman (vs LHP) and Eddie Rosario (vs RHP) are in a platoon.

Brewers

Andrew McCutchen (.608 OPS over the last month) has only started in five of the last 10 games.

• Since coming off the IL, Eduardo Escobar (.692 OPS) has started nine straight.

Nationals

Lane Thomas has leadoff for eight straight games.

CJ Abrams (.579 OPS) is starting against all righties (.687 OPS) and most lefties (.325 OPS).

César Hernández has been moved into a utility role by playing at third base (3 games) and the outfield (3 games). He’s only started in six of the last 10 games.

Padres

• Steady.

Trent Grisham (vs RHP) and José Azocar (vs LHP) are still in a platoon.

Phillies

Bryson Stott (vs RHP) and Edmundo Sosa (vs LHP) are in a platoon.

Brandon Marsh (.631 OPS), Nick Maton (1.033 OPS), and Matt Vierling (.619 OPS) are splitting one outfield spot with Castellanos on the IL.

Lineup Analysis (9/2/22)

With rosters expanding yesterday, lineups are going to be a mess to figure out will the changes. Better decisions can be made in just a couple more days. Today, I just gave each team a quick look for obvious changes and will focus on players losing playing time.

American League

Angels

Mike Ford (.991 OPS, 2 HR, 27 PA) has started seven straight games at first base.

Astros

• After not starting much at all, Christian Vázquez has started in four of the last six games.

Jeremy Peña has moved up to second in the lineup and Yuli Gurriel has moved down. Read the rest of this entry »

Lineup Analysis (8/26/22)

American League

Angels

• Players getting hurt (e.g. Walsh and Ward) and coming off the IL (e.g. Trout) make it hard to figure out if anyone new is a regular.

Astros

Christian Vázquez (.761 OPS) has started in only three of the last 10 games.

Chas McCormick (.746 OPS) was seeing regular at-bats (five straight starts) but then got hurt.

Athletics

• No one but Sean Murphy deserves and is getting full-time plate appearances.

• Since being called up, Shea Langeliers (.953 OPS) has started in eight of ten games, six at DH and two at catcher.

Blue Jays

• Over the last 10 games, Whit Merrifield has started in five of them and Santiago Espinal has started in six.

Guardians

• Steady

Mariners

• For some bizarre reason, Carlos Santana (.655 OPS with SEA) has started four straight.

Jesse Winker (.715 OPS, 13 HR) has started against the last three lefties.

Orioles

• It’s tough to figure out who is or isn’t playing in the bottom half. Second base, third base, and one outfield spot are all timeshares right now.

Rangers

Kole Calhoun (.621 OPS) and Bubba Thompson (.584 OPS) are splitting time in left field.

Rays

Harold Ramírez (.330/.373/.448, 5 HR, 3 SB) has started seven straight.

Tigers

Kerry Carpenter (.677 OPS, 2 HR) as sat against the last two lefties. Akil Baddoo (.486 OPS) is also only facing righties.

Victor Reyes has started in 11 straight games. Over the past two weeks, he has a .783 OPS and 2 SB.

Josh Harrison (.674 OPS) has started 13 of 14 games.

Andrew Vaughn has sat twice in the last five games with Luis Robert back.

Yankees

Giancarlo Stanton (batting third) is back and Oswaldo Cabrera stayed in the lineup hitting seventh. Cabrera (.563 OPS) has made eight straight starts.

National League

Braves

• Steady with Eddie Rosario sitting when both catchers are in the lineup.

Brewers

Mike Brosseau starts against lefties and either Kolten Wong or Luis Urías sits.

Jonathan Davis (vs RHP) and Tyrone Taylor (vs LHP) might be in a platoon.

Cardinals

Brendan Donovan (.757 OPS vs LHP, .799 OPS vs RHP) is only starting against righties.

Tommy Edman (.695 OPS) is getting buried at the bottom of the lineup.

Cubs

• In all fairness, everyone seems to be in some kind of timeshare except Ian Happ, Nico Hoerner, and Seiya Suzuki.

Diamondbacks

Emmanuel Rivera (.967 OPS with ARI) has hit second for six straight games.

• Since being called up, Stone Garrett (1.000 OPS) has started only four times in seven games.

Dodgers

• Small, nagging injuries (e.g. Lux with neck) make it tough to determine if anyone in the last few spots in a regular.

Joey Gallo (1.010 OPS with the Dodgers) has only started in five of the last 10 games.

Giants

• The only regulars are Thairo Estrada (.716 OPS, 11 HR, 16 SB), Brandon Crawford (.646 OPS), Wilmer Flores (.770 OPS, 25 HR), and Mike Yastrzemski (.687 OPS, 12 HR, 5 SB).

Peyton Burdick (.517 OPS) has started in 18 of the last 19 games.

CJ Abrams has started nine straight but is only hitting .182/.206/.182 since joining the Nats.

• Steady with one too many bats when everyone is healthy.

Phillies

Matt Vierling (.614 OPS, 5 HR, 6 SB, 4 CS) has started in 14 of the last 15 games.

Bryson Stott (vs RHP) and Edmundo Sosa (vs LHP) are in a shortstop platoon.

Tucupita Marcano (.238/.306/.393) has started in eight of the last 10 (five straight).

Oneil Cruz (.694 OPS vs RHP, .560 OPS, 54% K% vs LHP) has sat against the last three lefties.

Reds

TJ Friedl only faces righties for some bizarre reason (career .915 OPS vs LHP, .643 OPS vs RHP).

Jake Fraley sat against the last two lefties with a career .443 OPS vs LHP and .791 OPS vs RHP.

Donovan Solano (.831 OPS) is starting every day when healthy while hitting in the heart of the lineup.

Rockies

Elehuris Montero (.255/.275/.453, 4 HR) has sat in two of the last three games after 18 straight starts. He might be in a platoon (bats right) with a .653 OPS vs righties and a .842 OPS vs lefties.

Brian Serven (.664 OPS, 6 HR) has started at catcher in eight of the last 10 games.

Lineup Analysis (8/19/22)

American League

Angels

David Fletcher (.766 OPS, 2 HR) has leadoff for nine straight games.

Astros

Trey Mancini has started in six of the last 10 games.

• Centerfield is a rotation of Mauricio Dubón (.591 OPS), Jake Meyers (.567 OPS), and Chas McCormick (.750 OPS). Read the rest of this entry »

Lineup Analysis (8/12/22)

American League

Angels

David Fletcher (.674 OPS, 2 HR, 0 SB) has leadoff for three straight games.

Jo Adell has started in seven of the last eight games and is hitting .216/.310/.333 since the All-Star break. Read the rest of this entry »

Lineup Analysis (8/5/22)

American League

Angels

David Fletcher has leadoff in the last three games he’s started since coming off the IL. The problem is that he’s started only in four of seven games.

Jose Rojas (.275/.350/.571 with 18 HR and 5 SB in AAA) was just promoted and started in the cleanup spot.

Mickey Moniak has started two straight in center field.

Astros

• If the lineup gets healthy, at least two regulars will sit since Aledmys Díaz (.723 OPS) got the start over Trey Mancini (.752 OPS). Going over the pair’s career stats, Mancini has a slight edge, but Diaz is a way better defender. Keep a close eye on Mancini’s playing time to see if he remains rosterable.

Mauricio Dubón (.594 OPS) and Jake Meyers (.582 OPS) are splitting time in center field.

Athletics

• Everyone besides Ramón Laureano and Sean Murphy are in some sort of timeshare. I think they are the only two rosterable players on the team.

Blue Jays

• The playing time situation will be interesting to see how it works out with the addition of Whit Merrifield (.645 OPS). My best guess is that Santiago Espinal (.689 OPS) and Merrifield cut into each other’s playing time when everyone is healthy. Raimel Tapia‘s (.700 OPS) and Cavan Biggio’s (.701 OPS) playing times might take a hit since Merrifield can play all over the field.

Guardians

• The outfield has gotten to be a mess. Steven Kwan is cemented into the left field job and leadoff spot. Nolan Jones is only starting against righties. The team just promoted Will Benson (.278/.426/.522 with 17 HR and 16 SB) and he started in center field. Myles Straw and Oscar Gonzalez are still in the mix.

Owen Miller (vs LHP) and Josh Naylor (vs RHP) are in a first base platoon.

Mariners

• The lineup has been set for the last four games but it’s tough to know for sure what changes will stick. During those four games, the team has only faced righties. Additionally, Julio Rodriguez (IL) and Ty France (DTD) have been out of the lineup.

Jarred Kelenic has started three straight in center field.

Adam Frazier is now leading off.

Orioles

• Not a ton has changed with Trey Mancini being traded away. Adley Rutschman is now the DH every time he’s not catching. When he does catch, Terrin Vavra (.324/.435/.451 with 2 HR and 5 SB in AAA) is the DH.

Rangers

• When starting, Jonah Heim bats third.

Ezequiel Duran has started nine straight games.

Bubba Thompson (.303/.355/.474 with 13 HR and 49 SB in AAA) debuted on Thursday and hit ninth.

Rays

Jose Siri has started three straight in center field since being acquired from the Astros.

Isaac Paredes (.534 OPS over the last two weeks) has started in eight of the last 10 games.

Red Sox

Christian Arroyo (.710 OPS) has started six straight games.

Tommy Pham has started three straight and is batting second.

Alex Verdugo (vs RHP) and Jaylin Davis (vs LHP) might be in a left-field platoon.

Kevin Plawecki is getting most of the catcher starts.

Royals

Michael A. Taylor has started in 11 of 12 games while playing center field.

Michael Massey (.325/.392/.595 with 7 HR and 4 SB in AAA) has started the last two games at second base.

Kyle Isbel has only started in five of the last 10 games.

Tigers

Harold Castro (.285/.315/.407 and 4 HR) has started in 13 of the last 14 games at first base.

Eric Haase (.236 AVG, 8 HR) has started in six of the last 10 games, five at catcher.

• In five of the last seven games, Victor Reyes (.658 OPS, 0 SB) has hit second.

Twins

• Several injuries (Kepler, Sano, Kirilloff) have the lineup in flux.

Mark Contreras (.221/.311/.399 with 10 HR and 14 SB in AAA) has started four straight.

Nick Gordon has also started four straight (.272 AVG, 4 HR, 4 SB).

White Sox

• While a few injuries have forced some changes, as a general rule, the lineup has been steady.

Yankees

Andrew Benintendi has started seven straight since joining the Yankees.

Matt Carpenter has started in seven of the last 10 games.

National League

Braves

Orlando Arcia is back to being the everyday second baseman.

Brewers

• Steady.

Cardinals

Tommy Edman (.637 OPS, 0 HR, 3 SB over the last month) has only started in four of the last six games and has moved down to the ninth spot. He’s splitting time with Nolan Gorman at second base with Paul DeJong starting five straight at shortstop.

Dylan Carlson has leadoff for six straight games.

Cubs

Christopher Morel has only started in two of the last five games (both against lefties). He’s been sitting against righties even though he hits them better than his replacements.

Diamondbacks

Jake McCarthy has started nine straight games.

Emmanuel Rivera (.670 OPS, 6 HR in 211 PA) started the last game at third base and hit out of the six hole.

Dodgers

James Outman (.225/.340/.475 with 5 HR and 4 SB in 97 AAA PA) has started in four of the five games since being called up from AAA.

Miguel Vargas (.291/.382/.497 with 15 HR and 12 SB in AAA) has started just one game so far as the DH.

Giants

Joey Bart has taken over the primary catching duties.

Wilmer Flores and Dixon Machado 마차도 (SS) look to be the only two hitters who have full-time jobs.

Marlins

Bryan De La Cruz and JJ Bleday has started in nine of the last 10 games.

Mets

Eduardo Escobar has only started in four of the last 10 games. Luis Guillorme has been starting instead.

Tyler Naquin and Mark Canha are splitting time in left field.

Nationals

Luis García has hit second over the last three games.

Yadiel Hernandez has hit 3rd or 4th over the last three games. He’s also made seven straight starts.

Josh Palacios (.299/.378/.437, 7 HR, 18 SB) has started three straight.

Padres

• Intriguing. There have only been two lineups since the Juan Soto and Josh Bell trades. Wil Myers sat against the righty and Jake Cronenworth against the lefty. And Nomar Mazara was nowhere to be found.

Phillies

Brandon Marsh started his first game with the team in center field.

Alec Bohm is now hitting third.

Pirates

Ben Gamel has started in 17 straight games.

Bligh Madris (.528 OPS) has started five straight games.

Cal Mitchell (.593 OPS, 4 HR) has started in nine of the last 10 games.

Reds

• The team is getting revamped outfield. Donovan Solano has started four straight games, Albert Almora Jr. three, and Aristides Aquino two.

Rockies

José Iglesias is sitting against lefties.

• The 23-year-old Elehuris Montero has started three straight after hitting .310/.392/.541 with 15 HR and 4 SB in AAA.

Some Lineup Observations (7/30/22)

Note: Real life got in the way yesterday and had to cut short the article. I wasn’t able to get to each team but here are some observations on some teams.

American League

Guardians

• Steady.

Nolan Jones (.288/.383/.500, 2 HR) has started in nine of the last ten games.

Mariners

Kyle Lewis (.737 OPS) has started in only four of seven games since being promoted.

Orioles

Ramón Urías (.261/.302/.454, 11 HR) has started 16 straight games.

Rangers

Ezequiel Duran (.250/.290/.386, 2 HR, and 3 SB in 93 PA) has started in seven of the last eight games.

Josh H. Smith (.213/.315/.269, 1 HR, 2 SB) has started in eight of the last 10 games.

Rays

Luke Raley (.205/.319/.333, 1 HR, 0 SB) has started six straight.

Roman Quinn (.550 OPS, 0 HR, 4 SB) has started in five of the last six games.

Royals

• Since Benintendi was traded, Kyle Isbel (.237/.282/.357, 2 HR, 5 SB) has started both games.

Twins

• The corner infield and DH situations are still murky. Jose Miranda and Byron Buxton are the only two to start all three games since Miguel Sanó (.361 OPS) came off the IL. When Buxton was the DH, Sano and Urshela sat.

Yankees

Andrew Benintendi (.320/.387/.398, 3 HR, 4 SB) has started both games since being acquired. Matt Carpenter has sat in both of those games.

National League

Diamondbacks

Josh Rojas (.283/.357/.422, 6 HR, 11 SB) is sitting against lefties and I’m still not sure why.

Giants

Thairo Estrada (.265/.317/.412, 9 HR, 15 SB) has started 14 straight games.

Marlins

Luke Williams is now starting against righties while hitting .242/.319/.323 with 1 HR and 6 SB in 69 PA this season.

JJ Bleday (.182/.217/.409, 1 HR, 1 SB) has started in six straight games while hitting either third or fifth in the lineup.

Lewin Díaz (.252/.323/.492 and 19 HR in 368 AAA PA) has started four straight at first base.

Mets

• Track over the weekend to see how Tyler Naquin is used.

Daniel Vogelbach (vs RHP) and J.D. Davis (vs LHP) are in a platoon.

Nationals

Victor Robles (.239/.300/.319, 3 HR, 12 SB) has leadoff for four straight games.

Pirates

Cal Mitchell (.216/.254/.342, 3 HR, 1 SB) has started in eight of the last nine games.

Reds

• Just one lineup to go off after Naquin was traded to the Mets. Matt Reynolds (.264/.335/.368, 3 HR, 4 SB in 194 PA) looks to be the most likely to see more playing time.

Waiver Wire Report (7/16/22)

It’s time to see how much FAAB everyone has left with two major rookie callups.

In the article, I cover the players using CBS’s (about 40% or less initial roster rate) and Yahoo’s ADD/DROP rates. Both hosting sites have the option for daily and weekly waiver wire adds. CBS uses a weekly change while Yahoo looks at the last 24 hours. Yahoo is a great snapshot of right now while CBS ensures hot targets from early in the week aren’t missed. The players are ordered for redraft leagues by my rest-of-season preference grouped by starters, relievers, and hitters. Read the rest of this entry »
