Mengden’s Dastardly Moustache: With Hoskins attempting to steal bags, am I out of my mind thinking he can put up a final stat line similar to what Machado did in 2015? Might not get 20 stolen bases if the league catches up with what he’s doing or keep the K% below 20%, but one could only dream!

Brad Johnson: As long as his legs hold up, he could have some crazy roto numbers. Typically, players of Hoskins’ speed and size don’t stay frisky on the basepaths for long

Brad Johnson: He’s not actually similar to Machado in athleticism

Marc: 12 team QS league. Should Marquez be held on to and just play matchups or should that spot be more of a streamer spot with guys like McCarthy/Williams/Newcomb/Stratton/etc?

Brad Johnson: All four of those alternatives are better – either as streamers or full time rosterees

Kiermaier’s Dashing Good Looks: In a 7×7 10-team keeper league with Total Bases and OBP, would you roster any of Odubel, Dahl, Michael Taylor, or Franchy Cordero over Dexter Fowler? Thanks!

Justin Mason: I would probably roster most of them, if not all over Fowler.

Kiermaier’s Dashing Good Looks: What are your thoughts on Gausman potentially sacrificing velocity early on in games for additional sink/run. Last night against the Indians, he was consistently working down in the zone with good movement and was able to reach back for 95-97 when he needed it. Seems as though he’s really working on actually “pitching” instead of being the thrower that he was when he first came up. If last night’s start wasn’t a sign of encouragement, then I don’t know what is.

Justin Mason: Last night was very encouraging. Need to see him continue to do it on a regular basis, but I am a sucker for him.

Schoop of Ice Cream: If the Blue Jays have any intention of bringing up Vlad Jr. this year, why not do it next week, if even just until JD is back? The extra year of service time clock will pass this weekend, and if they’re serious about contending he might be the best bat to fill in at 3rd will Donaldson heals

o’HOOLIGAN’S: I have Alex Reyes, Dinelson Lamet and Greg Bird on the DL but only two DL spots so one of them is taking up a bench spot. Drop one of them for Albers in a 12-team 5×5 roto league? My closers are Iglesias, Kela and Soria right now.

Brad Johnson: Could drop Lamet. I don’t think you have to go out of your way for another part time closer.

Brad Johnson: I’d probably save that move for a more meaningful addition

Erik: You’re a daily guy, right? How do you decide when to pay up for a top pitcher instead of running with a cheaper guy? I usually go for the cheapest starter that I’m comfortable with in order to get as many top bats into the lineup as possible, but on nights like last night I get burnt when Scherzer and Kluber are predictably dominant.

Brad Johnson: I only play GPPs so for me it comes down to expected ownership rates.
