Bullpen Report: September 23, 2023

Reynaldo López is Clase’s top backup, with Trevor Stephan struggling lately. Sam Hentges is the top (and only) option from the left side.

Co-closer José Alvarado was held out of action on Friday and should be good to go Saturday.

Carmen Mlodzinski, Hunter Stratton, and Dauri Loretta are the likeliest closers on Saturday, with Ryan Borucki having worked three straight days.

The Yankees piggybacked on Friday, ultimately using just two pitchers in a 7-1 win against the Diamondbacks. Brito got the last 11 outs, with a solo homer to Christian Walker the only hit he allowed. He needed just 39 pitches (31 strikes!), striking out three to earn his first career save.
