Notable Workloads
•Félix Bautista, BAL: 25 pitches on Sunday. | RosterResource
Dillon Tate and Cionel Pérez are the likeliest closers on Monday if Bautista isn’t available and a chance pops up.
•Jhoan Duran, MIN: Three of the last four days; 17 pitches on Sunday. | RosterResource
Co-closer Jorge López threw 32 pitches on Saturday, but he was warming up on Sunday, which portends well for his availability on Monday.

Outlier Saves
•Buck Farmer, CIN | RosterResource
Alexis Díaz is the undisputed top dog in the Reds bullpen despite sharing closing duties with Hunter Strickland, but both Reds closers were unavailable on Sunday with Díaz throwing 26 pitches on Saturday and Strickland 12. Farmer stepped in and pitched a 1-2-3 inning on just six pitches for his second save of the year, lowering his ERA to 3.29.
•Justin Bruihl, LAD | RosterResource
The Dodgers used Craig Kimbrel in the bottom of the ninth in a tie game, so by the time they had a lead in the tenth, it was Outlier time. Andre Jackson was first to take the stage, but got into a jam and ended up handing the ball to Bruihl with two outs, the bases loaded, and lefty LaMonte Wade Jr. due up. After a seven-pitch battle, Bruihl induced a groundout for his first career save.
Committee Clarity
•Jhoan Duran, MIN | RosterResource
Duran has now gotten the Twins’ last two saves after picking one up on Sunday, and Jorge López was warming as early as the seventh inning with Joe Ryan nearing the end of his starting assignment, so it looks like the plan is to have the two work in tandem depending on the matchups. Duran has co-closed at various points of the season, first with Emilio Pagán, then with Tyler Duffey, and now evidently with López. He’s been one of the best rookie relievers in baseball, with 87 strikeouts in 65.2 innings and a sterling 1.78 ERA.
