Notable Workloads
•Dany Jiménez, OAK: Three of the last four days and four of the last six; 16 pitches on Sunday. | RosterResource
Jiménez’s ability on Monday could really go either way. If he’s held out, A.J. Puk, Zach Jackson and
•David Robertson, CHC: 16 pitches on Sunday; 19 pitches on Saturday. | RosterResource
Robertson hasn’t gone three straight days yet this season, so he might not be available for either end of a doubleheader on Monday, let alone both. Mychal Givens, Rowan Rick, Scott Effross and Daniel Norris are all possibilities.

Outlier Saves
•David Phelps, TOR | RosterResource
Jordan Romano worked Thursday, Friday and Saturday—and couldn’t even make it out of Saturday’s game with the save, as Ross Stripling had to bail him out—so there’s no way he was going to pitch on Sunday after 60 pitches in three days. The Blue Jays stuck with usual setup men Adam Cimber in their usual roles with the matchups shaking out that way, so the veteran Phelps was brought on to hold the one-run lead in a wild game. He gave up a two-out single before inducing a fly out for his first save of the season.
Phelps has come all the way back from lat surgery (one that he thought might end his career) to be a key contributor to Toronto’s bullpen. He has a 2.41 ERA in 18.2 innings with 17 strikeouts.

Losing A Grip
•Art Warren, CIN | RosterResource
Sunday morning’s game against the Giants was a blowup of rather epic proportions for Warren, who faced four batters, all of whom ended up scoring. Warren entered this season with a brilliant 1.03 ERA through his first 32 career appearances spanning 26.1 innings, but his ERA now sits at an ugly 7.27 this season. He’s earned three saves so far this year, but may not get many chances going forward, with Alexis Diaz, Tony Santillan and Jeff Hoffman all at least showing flashes of dominance, and Hunter Strickland improving after a tough start to his own season.
