Notable Workloads
•Félix Bautista, BAL: 29 pitches on Tuesday. | RosterResource
Although he only threw 18 pitches, Yennier Cano got five outs on Tuesday, and the up-down leaves his availability in question. That could leave Bryan Baker to close on Wednesday.
•Emmanuel Clase, CLE: Three of the last four days; 10 pitches on Tuesday. | RosterResource
The Guardians were off on Monday, so Clase will probably be available on Wednesday, but if he’s not then Trevor Stephan could close. James Karinchak has also pitched three of four days.
•Clay Holmes, NYY: Three of the last four days; 14 pitches on Tuesday. | RosterResource
Michael King is probably the preferred closing option right now anyway, and he should be available Wednesday.
•Alexis Díaz, CIN: 23 pitches on Tuesday. | RosterResource
23 pitches is borderline notable but we’ll include Díaz here since he got four outs, and the up-down is always something to consider. Lucas Sims, Derek Law, Ian Gibaut, and Alex Young are all options to fill in on Wednesday.

Outlier Saves
•Giovanny Gallegos, STL | RosterResource
Ryan Helsley threw 23 pitches Monday and 12 pitches Sunday, so he wasn’t available Tuesday. That left Gallegos to face the heart of the Cubs’ order, which he breezed through on 11 pitches for his second save of the season. He should continue to be the go-to backup for Helsley, with a strong 2.63 ERA, though his strikeouts are down a bit from his peak.
