Notable Workloads
•Carlos Hernández, KCR: Four of the last five days; 16 pitches on Tuesday. | RosterResource
In the aftermath of the Scott Barlow trade, the Royals are pretty bereft of closing options. Jonathan Heasley and Austin Cox have both pitched decently well.
•David Robertson, MIA: 24 pitches on Tuesday. | RosterResource
Tanner Scott, A.J. Puk, and Jorge López are Miami’s best closing options if Robertson’s unavailable Wednesday, but that’s not a sure thing.
•Josh Hader, SDP: Three of the last four days; 10 pitches on Tuesday. | RosterResource
Hader didn’t pitch Monday so he may well be available on Wednesday. If not, it’s possible new setup man Scott Barlow will have reported by then—the Padres could use him with Robert Suarez and Steven Wilson also having pitched three-of-four. If Barlow isn’t there yet, Nick Martinez could close.

Outlier Saves
•Seranthony Domínguez, PHI | RosterResource
Craig Kimbrel threw back-to-back days and three-of-four, so with Gregory Soto already used in the eighth when the Phillies were down 1-0, Domínguez was the best option to close the game out after the Phils roared back in the top of the ninth. He looked as good as he has in awhile, throwing eight of ten pitches for strikes in a perfect inning, including notching a strikeout. It was just his third appearance off the IL and by far his sharpest, and the Phillies are certainly hoping for more to come.
•Sean Manaea, SFG | RosterResource
The Giants were working with an extremely shorthanded bullpen Tuesday, with Camilo Doval and Tyler Rogers both having worked three straight, and Taylor Rogers having worked three of four days. As such, they needed Ryan Walker to get seven outs from the sixth through ninth before handing it off to Manaea for the last two outs. Manaea needed seven pitches to get the job done for his first career save. It’s been a mixed bag for Manaea in a strange bulk reliever/sometimes starter role, with a 5.43 ERA but also 85 strikeouts in 71.1 innings

I swear I saw a push notification that Chafin was traded, did the deal not go through? Or maybe I was just that stoned last night…
Chafin was traded to the Brewers, I guess the author somehow missed that.
Yep, should be McGough in his place
