Brad Johnson Baseball Chat: 2-11-2020

We chatted!

3:59
Brad Johnson: Let’s start this ball rolling

4:00
Brad Johnson: For those who missed all my twitter promoting, check out Juiced Balls episode 3 with Dan Szymborski. Now on Spotify, Apple, and Anchor.

4:01
Matt: Is there a way to determine if punting a category is smart/viable beyond just some back of the envelope guessing? I play in a 13-team 6×6 roto (+OBP and QS) with seven dedicated SP slots (and 3 dedicated RP), so well over 100 SPs are rostered at all times. Since I’m definitely hammering SP early, and there are two extra categories, does it make sense to punt steals? I feel like I could grab a lot of pitching early and still put together a great AVG/HR/OBP lineup by eschewing any steals guys.

4:01
Brad Johnson: If I understand the intention of your question, no. Not ahead of time.

4:03
Brad Johnson: Punting a category usually should be a matter of circumstance. For instance, you missed various runs of closers and would rather go with elite non-closers than Joe Jimenez and Mychal Givens types.

4:03
Brad Johnson: Or you were priced into a bunch of 0 SB guys early in the draft and no longer have a way to even scrape your way to mid-way into the category without seriously sacrificing elsewhere.

4:04
Brad Johnson: So, what I’d do in your situation is have that plan available in the back of my mind.

4:04
Johnny5Alive: I turned dustin may into dinelson lamet and nick senzel in an NL only dynasty. I understand I might regret that in a few years, but for this year, was it ok?

4:04
Brad Johnson: Oh for sure

4:04
Brad Johnson: Definitely a PV win

4:04
Alex: I know you don’t play NFBC but do you ever dabble in RTSports’ contests? If not, what’s your favorite platform outside fangraphs?

4:05
Brad Johnson: FanTrax is my favorite, but I don’t play any of the larger public contests.

4:05
Brad Johnson: I’m a dynasty and DFS guy

4:05
Brad Johnson: I find I’m losing most of my in between leagues

4:06
Brad Johnson: I have to make cuts every year and it’s much easier to walk away from a 12-team redraft than something where I spent 5 years building my current roster

4:06
Dan: What’s your ideal draft date?

4:06
Brad Johnson: 1/30

4:06
Brad Johnson: Plus it’s my birthday. I like to draft early. And slow!

4:06
Mojo: FG’s auction calculator seems to discount SBs heavily.  Using ATC proj for 10 tm, 5×5 league, it produced $8 Mondesi, $4 Villar, ($2.2) Mallex.  Another valuation system produced $28, $20 and $11 using similar projections.  Neither is “right” but which end of SB value spectrum are you?

4:07
Brad Johnson: Well… I think the 10-team component might have something to do with it.

4:07
Brad Johnson: It probably wants you to spend a boatload on Acuna/Yelich types for your SBs

4:08
Brad Johnson: And yes, Mallex is super negative in 10-team

4:08
Brad Johnson: -2.2 is understating it

4:08
Brad Johnson: He’s a fine bench player, but you can’t use him regularly and compete. Just too crushing in too many categories.

4:08
Upton Funk: Who has the better sophmore season from a fantasy perspective, Vlad or Eloy?

4:09
Brad Johnson: I feel like you’re setting me up to be contrary, and I usually bite. But I want Vladito until he pops

4:09
Jake: How do you feel this year about Rhys Hoskins? Realistic projections for him following last years 2nd half?

4:09
Brad Johnson: 30 HR, 100 RBI, low AVG

4:09
Brad Johnson: Somewhere in that neighborhood

4:09
Brad Johnson: Not especially concerned about the slump. He’s streaky like that.

4:09
Brad Johnson: And he’s made some mechanical changes already

4:10
Brad Johnson: Opened up his stance a bit which should really help with that inside pitch exploit.

4:10
Dan: Is Pete Alonso the top dynasty 1B? Do you expect more seasons like last year or is that a 10th percentile outcome?

4:11
Brad Johnson: Assuming it’s not a very shallow dynasty, then yes, he’s probably the best of the bunch. (also, if we’re not counting Bellinger)

4:11
Brad Johnson: I wouldn’t say that was a 90th percentile outcome just yet, but it’s quite possible

4:11
Brad Johnson: We need more information.

4:11
Brad Johnson: Generally, you should not *project* more than 40 HR from anybody.

4:12
Brad Johnson: Some exceptions, but even they top out around 45

4:12
Brad Johnson: I think I have Alonso penciled in around 38 HR which would really disappoint a lot of his drafters

4:12
JJ: What type of value does Verdugo have now in Boston?

4:12
Brad Johnson: It’s certainly an upgrade to go from that crowded roster to somewhere he should net 700 PA if healthy

4:13
Brad Johnson: Betting on big volume, 20 HR, good AVG

4:14
Brad Johnson: Could be a top 30 player if it all clicks. 700 PA, 20 HR, 90 R, 90 RBI, 10 SB, .290 AVG

4:14
Brad Johnson: The runs/RBI obviously relate to where he bats. Roster Resource has him penciled in down the order, but I think he’ll be in the top 4

4:14
DepthCharge: Thanks for the chat! I’m in a 14-team H2H 5×5 categories league, but it’s OPS, not BA. We get up to 4 keepers. Cole and Bellinger appear to be ‘no brainers’, but need to choose 2 out of Bieber, Villar, Gallo (who could be a monster in this non-BA format). Thoughts?

4:14
Brad Johnson: Gallo IS a monster in OPS

4:15
Brad Johnson: You have to take him. Bieber too imo.

4:15
Brad Johnson: Villar’s an easy cut for me.

4:15
Miguel: I’ve drank the Miguel Sano Kool Aid, if I’m already keeping Flaherty in the 10th rd can I justify keeping Sano (16th round) ove Bieber (12th).  12 tm 5×5 obp league.

4:15
Brad Johnson: Same vein, I like Sano more than most but I wouldn’t take him over Bieber

4:15
Mojo: Do you purchase any projections or valuation/draft support software?

4:16
Brad Johnson: No.

4:16
Brad Johnson: Not sure why I picked this one, I have nothing helpful to say!

4:17
Brad Johnson: I guess cuz I knew the answer…

4:17
Brent: Dynasty draft involving all of last year’s MLB draftees and J2 players. How high would you draft Erick Pena?

4:17
Brad Johnson: Pretty high. Usually in the 7 to 12 range

4:17
Brad Johnson: But, don’t fret too much about Pena specifically.

4:17
Brad Johnson: There are so many good players in the FYPD this year

4:18
Brad Johnson: This is my favorite resource.

4:18
Brad Johnson: FanTrax also has a solid list

4:18
tom: You have any shares of Vlad Jr? Where are/would you draft him? Feel like his current ADP is too high.

4:18
Brad Johnson: I do. I even got him in the Rotoworld mock draft for their annual magazine

4:18
Brad Johnson: Lemme just crack that open and see where I took him

4:19
Brad Johnson: Oh right, it was a mock auction

4:20
Brad Johnson: They didn’t publish individual values.

4:21
Brad Johnson: But I did do a 43.5/56.5 hitter/pitcher split!

4:21
Brad Johnson: And according to some projection tools, I crushed the draft.

4:22
Brad Johnson: Sorry, getting lost in some past stuff.

4:22
Brad Johnson: Let’s move on

4:22
Brad Johnson: In short, I like him a lot, but you need a specific situation. Or a reasonable auction price.

4:22
Vic: Any interest in Vanmeter or Nola around pick # 450?

4:22
Brad Johnson: I think you can do better.

4:23
Brad Johnson: Plenty of guys with a clearer path to PT and at least as much talent.

4:23
Big Tuna: What are your thoughts on this ongoing Twitter discussion of whether Bieber is good or overrated? Whether the bad fastball will torpedo him or not?

4:23
Brad Johnson: I feel like I have some OG cred here.

4:23
Brad Johnson: I was on the Bieber-bad-fastball train last winter

4:23
Brad Johnson: I liked him in that Nick Pivetta range asset class, but I only wound up with a couple shares. (and thankfully no Pivettas)

4:24
Brad Johnson: Presently, I’m not very concerned.

4:24
Brad Johnson: Carlos Carrasco has a terrible fastball too

4:24
Brad Johnson: But he uses his offspeed stuff well to hide it. So too with Bieber.

4:24
See! You! Later!: What are your thoughts on Ron Shandler?

4:25
Brad Johnson: He’s the patron saint of fantasy players.

4:25
Alex: Speaking of Pivetta, who do you think could be this year’s version of him (gets super hyped and becomes waiver wire fodder by middle of the season)?

4:25
Brad Johnson: Ah well, there’s always a pitcher or 10 who fall in this bucket.

4:25
Brad Johnson: Dinelson is a prime candidate

4:25
Brad Johnson: The hype is… strong

4:25
josh: Am I a moron for taking Shohei with pick 115 in the NFC cutline championship?

4:25
Brad Johnson: Is that a weekly format?

4:26
Brad Johnson: Or one of those Friday sub-ins?

4:26
Brad Johnson: If the latter, it’s a great value imo

4:26
Opinions!: This year’s Pivetta = Dinelson Lamet

4:26
Brad Johnson: I’m not alone in immediately going to this well

4:26
Coop: What do you think about Snell this year? In a 5×5 H2H I can keep him for $3 or Shane Bieber for $11. Struggling with the decision.

4:27
Brad Johnson: Oh… I think the Snell +$8 is correct

4:27
Brad Johnson: I’m sad you have to cut one

4:27
DJ Tanner: Outside of the obvious top 5 in FYPD, why am I enamored with Corbin Carroll at 6 (and think I would consider him higher)? 70 grade speed at least, great hit tool, and posted 92 MPH average exit velocity as 18/19 so he may have sneaky raw power in there. You like him or Greene/Bleday/Pena at that spot?

4:28
Brad Johnson: Fine with Carroll, Bleday, or Greene. No preference

4:28
Brad Johnson: Pena’s a short step below them imo

4:28
Wade Davis: Announced at COL closer. Worth adding?

4:28
Brad Johnson: In the sense that anybody garnering saves has some value, yes

4:28
Brad Johnson: Hell, he might even be passably playable

4:29
Brad Johnson: Just keep in mind the Rockies have every reason to prevent him from getting too many saves. His option vests based on games finished.

4:29
Brad Johnson: I forget the exact number needed.

4:29
Vegan Man!: Standard Roto redraft – Yelich or Trout? Thanks!

4:30
Brad Johnson: I’m of the opinion that going non-Trout is overthinking it

4:30
Brad Johnson: But to each their own

4:30
Vegan Man!: Does your C strategy change at all in 10 team, 2 C leagues? Or is it shallow enough that I can just wait…? Thanks!

4:30
Brad Johnson: Actually, this is a format where I’m more willing to aggressively target catchers knowing that other positions are extremely easy to patch throughout the year.

4:31
Brad Johnson: So I would target at least one of the top guys. Grabbing two can be a coup.

4:31
Brad Johnson: But… in recent years the top rated guys aren’t always the top performers…

4:31
josh: Its the best ball weekly format

4:32
Brad Johnson: Ah that’s a shame. He’s harder to manage in weekly. I’m also not clear on how that works. He’s auto-magically added to one side or the other? You have to pick ahead of time? Haven’t pondered this dilemma yet.

4:32
Josh: Freeman+9th round pick vs Gleyber? 16 team, 6 keeper H2H categories

4:32
Brad Johnson: I’d probably just keep Freeman unless there’s some other driving force like you own Alonso too.

4:33
Brad Johnson: Around the top 100 guys kept so you don’t have to worry too much about Gleyber outperforming Freeman in 2023.

4:34
Brad Johnson: Other good, young players will find their way onto your roster by then

4:34
Depressed Mariners Fan: Hey Brad, I just took over a dynasty roto team (15 TM league). Last year the team finished ninth and doesn’t really have a shot of competing this year. Every team can keep as many players as they want and those keepers are front loaded in this years draft. Do you think I should keep as few players as possible so I can try to load up on prosepcts (Witt Jr, Rutschman, Vaughn) or keep all of my middling players and try to find value elsewhere?   Thanks!

4:35
Brad Johnson: Don’t take this as gospel because I don’t have a perfect grasp on your league dynamics. My instinct is you should only keep very good players. And try to aggregate the middling folk if possible.

4:35
Trace Adkins: Any reason you prefer fantrax over NFBC? Is it just because the rake is lower on fantrax?

4:35
Brad Johnson: Well again, I’m not playing their competitions so the rake doesn’t come into it. I like FanTrax’s flexibility and responsiveness as a fantasy platform.

4:35
Brad Johnson: I have more fun with DFS than season-long gambling.

4:36
Dave: Are there any super late hitters you find yourself consistently drafting?

4:36
Brad Johnson: I’ve mostly been doing dynasty slow drafts so… not really.

4:36
Brad Johnson: I will say I always pop Workman/Kennedy in mock drafts

4:36
Brad Johnson: And I tend to find myself loading up on boring old guys in the Choo/Braun/Murphy mold

4:37
Brad Johnson: So I guess that’s my answer – boring old guys.

4:37
Kevin: Cavan Biggio- I really like the profile a lot. Love the walk rate, seems like the projections don’t expect much gains in the average or strikeout rates. What are your thoughts? Would love to see his projections with 20-23% K rate and a 260 average

4:37
Brad Johnson: He’s one of the more polarizing guys around right now. I was an early adopter so I have quite a few shares.

4:38
Brad Johnson: The good news is he doesn’t need to improve to be roto-useful

4:38
Brad Johnson: the bad news is he’s kind of bad in real MLB if he doesn’t improve

4:38
Brad Johnson: And if he does improve, he could be a fantasy monster

4:38
Dan: Do you think Luis Castillo can take a step forward and be 1 of the top 6-8 SP in baseball? Do you believe in the 2nd half bb% gains? Thanks

4:38
Brad Johnson: I feel like I’m seeing a pattern with Mr. Castillo

4:39
Brad Johnson: Some guys break these patterns. Other times, it’s a sign a given pitcher just isn’t cut out for the whole 162 game thing.

4:39
Matt W. : I have been designing my bench in drafts with Berti, Goodrum, Starling Catro, and Travis Shaw. Is the production loss worth the super position flexibility?

4:39
Brad Johnson: Flex has never been easier to find so don’t go nuts with it

4:40
Brad Johnson: That said, Shaw and Castro are excellent late-round dart throws and Berti should eventually crack the regular lineup in a super utility role. He’s a good cheap source of SBs. Just pop him in whenever he starts against Thor.

4:40
Dugan : Leclerc, Bradley or Will Smith?

4:41
Brad Johnson: Oof. I want the answer to be Smith but then you have to use a spot on Melancon

4:41
Brad Johnson: Or risk zeroing out on saves in ATL.

4:41
Andrea’s Fault: Yahoo customized points league and we can freeze forever with no penalty. Which three pitchers for my last freezers from this list? Giolito, Morton, Paddack, Montas, Ohtani. (Other freezers Trout, Rendon, Albies, Buehler). Or could sneak in VRobles…

4:42
Brad Johnson: I’d find a spot for Robles. I expect him to eventually be big. Assuming 12 team or deeper. Can probably re-draft in 10-team. Giolito and Paddack are my priorities there.

4:42
Brad Johnson: For observers, remember that Yahoo cracked Ohtani into 2 people

4:42
Brad Johnson: Pitcher Ohtani is locked into throwing once a week.

4:42
Andrea’s Fault: Yes 12 team.

4:42
PowerSlave!: Rank in order of innings pitched this year for the A’s…. AJ PUK, LUZARDO, D. JEFFERIES

4:43
Brad Johnson: I’d flip Luzardo and Puk

4:43
Brad Johnson: Probably something like 110, 100, 20 if I were to WAG

4:43
Anonymous: I was high on Woodruff, but didn’t realize how massive his downgrade in catcher framing is in 2020. Is the market pricing that in?

4:43
Brad Johnson: Nope

4:44
Billy Eye Lash: I have recently won my dynasty keeper league and now all owners are weary of trading with me as I have won the majority of trades made last year. It looks like if I want a deal to get done, I will have to massively overpay. Any advice on working through this with other owners?

4:44
Brad Johnson: Honestly, beat them with the waiver wire.

4:44
Brad Johnson: If you’re really crushing them financially, it doesn’t hurt to jump on an opportunity to rebuild just to give them all a breather.

4:45
Brad Johnson: Like if winning is 10x buy-in and you’ve won 3 in a row…

4:45
Tim N.: Better value: Eloy in 10th, Muncy in 17th?

4:45
Brad Johnson: With no other info, I want Muncy

4:45
J: Traded McNeil for Lourdes Gurriel and Brett Baty in a dynasty – did I blunder?

4:45
Brad Johnson: I don’t love it. Could be fine

4:45
Brad Johnson: I’d say you got 90 cents on the dollar

4:46
Tim N.: Josh Donaldson repeat season from last year? better? worse?

4:46
Brad Johnson: I don’t think it’s smart to look for *better*

4:47
Brad Johnson: He should be fine if healthy. If the Twins are smart, they’ll manage him like Justin Turner.

4:47
Brad Johnson: Keep him in the 550 to 600 PA range.

4:47
Brad Johnson: Otherwise, he’ll probably break too often to realize the full value of his contract.

4:47
Bubba: Rosario or Catellanos as a 6th keeper (I’m keeping Tatis, Jo-Ram, Cole, Glasnow & Osuna)? Thanks!

4:47
Brad Johnson: Usually I’d definitely say Rosario

4:47
Brad Johnson: But you already have quite a few SB, huh?

4:48
Brad Johnson: And MI

4:48
Brad Johnson: You sure you don’t have an alternate choice? Picking Castellanos would ruin my street cred as a hater.

4:48
Bubba: Yeah, looking for average & power.

4:48
Bubba: I mean Eddie Rosario, sorry!

4:48
Brad Johnson: Ooooooo

4:49
Brad Johnson: Rosario for me

4:49
Brad Johnson: With the caveat that I’m a bit worried the Twins seemingly want to move on from him.

4:49
Brian: Any idea if Texas’ new stadium is a hitter or a pitcher park?

4:49
Brad Johnson: hahaha

4:50
Brad Johnson: Perhaps treat it like The Glob initially. That was a seasonal venue, kinda pitcher-friendly early in the year and very hitter friendly in the middle months

4:50
Josh Rojas: Is a trade the most likely way I get playing time now that Marte is in town?

4:50
Brad Johnson: Injuries

4:51
Brad Johnson: He’s not getting traded any time soon. Rojas’ll probably return to Triple-A. If he’s mashing again, they’ll open a door.

4:51
Kevin: Any concerns with the new 3 batter rule as it comes to saves or holds? Rays traded Pagan knowing they have to adjust their strategy and platoon hitting could be key late in the game?

4:51
Brad Johnson: I think the Rays just saw an opportunity to realize a profit on their zero-investment into Pagan and took it.

4:52
Brad Johnson: It’ll affect those easy one-out holds for southpaws

4:52
Brad Johnson: But otherwise I don’t think we’ll feel it much in fantasy land

4:52
Anonymous: is hitting Triples a repeatable skill? in a league with terrible scoring format and Ketel Marte was a beast (and is projected to be again) but i’d have to cut Hiura loose

4:52
Brad Johnson: No. But also keep Marte anyway.

4:52
Brad Johnson: Sad you have to cut one. Sure there isn’t someone older or overrated-er?

4:53
jOe MoM: In a dynasty 12 team leauge with 10 pitchers Joe Musgrove or Chris Archer

4:53
Brad Johnson: ez Mussy

4:53
Anonymous: Spec pick on Puig in 12-team seems aggressive to me. He really an everyday OF3?

4:53
Brad Johnson: Should be

4:53
Brad Johnson: But that’s like a last round dart throw if at all

4:53
Michael Chavis: Not sure if it’s still the case but ARI used to have one of (if not the highest) 3B park factors FWIW

4:54
Brad Johnson: I’d have to investigate. I also recall some research that basically said 3B park factors are broken

4:54
God Speed John Glenn: Marcell Ozuna is a statcast darling. I read the fangraphs article that says his balls might slice in the air cutting distance. Any chance this gets fixed in the offseason? Do you ever get insider info to know what hitters are working on in the offseason?

4:55
Brad Johnson: I don’t have any on Ozuna. I do sometimes get insider tips, but most of what I benefit from is simply catching a lot of the stuff published to outsiders.

4:55
Brad Johnson: I’m thinking the slice is probably a feature and not a bug worth fixing

4:55
Dugan : Thoughts on Maeda in Minnesota?

4:55
Brad Johnson: The AL Central

4:56
Kevin: Keep forever dynasty. I love riding the old guys in dynasty, they are criminally undervalued. Rostering Scherzer/JV/Madbum/Grienke. I do have the jesus lizard and gore waiting in the wings. Any reason to try and get out early on any of the old guys or just roll with it hoping gore or the lizard will step in to replace them?

4:56
Brad Johnson: I’d keep rolling

4:56
Brad Johnson: Assuming there aren’t other opportunity costs involved

4:57
Brad Johnson: I would expect one of those guys to sour, but trying to pick which one just lowers your chances of having 3 studs.

4:57
Kevin: In a 4×4 roto Nl dynasty league. Dropped Runs and Ks… (I didn’t make the rules). I should be trading all starters for high leverage relievers right? How do I account for offense that has steals but no runs?

4:58
Brad Johnson: Oh geez. That looks like a full article. Drop me a line and I’ll try to whip something together on unusual category alignments for Friday or Monday.

4:58
Brad Johnson: (I won’t remember to do it if you don’t ping me on Twitter or the comments)

4:58
Touki: Keep forever draft Trout or Acuna?

4:58
Brad Johnson: Acuna

4:58
Brad Johnson: duh

4:58
Brad Johnson: The overthinking comment only applies to redraft

4:59
Brad Johnson: I’m not sure Trout is top 5 in deep dynasty anymore

4:59
Brad Johnson: I think I draft Soto first fwiw

4:59
Brad Johnson: He’s soooooooo good. And a lot of deep dynasties are OBP!

4:59
Anonymous: thinking about galaxy-brain drafting ASAP to take advantage of E. Suarez / Sale / Carrasco discounts before reports that they’re healthy come out in ST

5:00
Brad Johnson: haha, it’s not as much of a factor this year, but I love taking good, unsigned players at a 40 pick discount.

5:00
Brad Johnson: Just don’t fall for Craig Kimbrel (I didn’t!)

5:00
Brad Johnson: Time to start wrapping up.

5:01
Brad Johnson: I need to a new chair, this one sucks.

5:01
Joe: 12 team points H2H, no negatives for hitter K’s (300 cap), gotta pick my last 2: Eloy for 28, Gallo for 21, Wheeler for 10, Fried for 5.

5:01
Brad Johnson: Eloy, Gallo

5:01
Brad Johnson: Wait

5:02
Brad Johnson: Explain what you mean by no negative (300 cap)

5:02
Anonymous: weekly leagues generally should not have IP / GP limits right?

5:02
Brad Johnson: Nope

5:03
Joe: No minus points if a hitter strikes out. I’m also keeping Acuna, Gleyber, Meadows, Buehler and Paddack.

5:03
Brad Johnson: Oh got it, I completely misunderstood

5:03
Brad Johnson: thought those were keep rounds

5:03
Brad Johnson: Gallo and Fried

5:04
Buster: 5×5 Roto 12 Team Keeper league. Would you rather keep Arenado or Verlander? Leaning to V given lack of aces and 3B being VERY deep. Thoughts?

5:04
Brad Johnson: I lean Arenado. But you should trust your lean, not mine.

5:04
Brad Johnson: JV isn’t a wrong choice here.

5:04
Your Boy Max: What 2 of the following Cinci pitchers will get rotation spots A.desclafani wade miley tyler mahle or jose deleon

5:05
Brad Johnson: Miley and DeScla

5:05
Anonymous: we all know the guys who’s value spikes in OBP leagues. Flip it: top of your head, who plummets in OBP?

5:05
Brad Johnson: I think Starling is an example

5:05
Brad Johnson: Tim Anderson

5:05
Brad Johnson: Adalberto huge drop!

5:06
Brad Johnson: oh Javy Baez

5:06
Brad Johnson: ouch

5:06
P&C: Oddly enough I can only keep one Marte- Starling or Ketel?

5:06
Brad Johnson: Ketel unless you really need to prioritize SBs

5:06
Dan: Rendon or Judge in OBP dynasty? Thanks!

5:06
Brad Johnson: I think I’m in the minority, but I want Judge

5:06
Brad Johnson: I’d run this as a poll if we weren’t finishing up

5:07
CD: I traded Benintendi for Kelenic straight up in a 12-Team Dynasty, am I crazy for thinking Kelenic has a higher upside?

5:07
Brad Johnson: Well, no. Kelenic absolutely has higher upside

5:07
Brad Johnson: But you should have gotten more in 12-team.

5:07
Kevin: I don’t understand the angels backing out 1 bit. I didn’t understand fully cause they have Adell but it feels like a nobrainer trade for them, so why back out now?

5:08
Brad Johnson: Their payroll is probably a little cramped as it stands. And Arte seemed to be personally offended.

5:08
Brad Johnson: But I’m not entirely convinced of the reports

5:08
Brad Johnson: The Dodgers got more money back from the Red Sox than they expected so it didn’t make sense for them to give guys away for free.

5:09
Brad Johnson: I have no doubts the Dodgers told the Angels they’d need to renegotiate.

5:09
Your Boy Max: At this point who has more injury risk in fantasy G.Stanton or A.Judge

5:09
Brad Johnson: Stanton. Age.

5:09
Brad Johnson: But they’re about the same risk as every other hitter.

5:10
Vegan Man!: Acuna or Trout in roto redraft? Still Trout? Thanks!

5:10
Brad Johnson: Trout

5:10
Brad Johnson: Ok, throwing in the towel. Good game folks.

5:10
Dan: Kershaw as your ace still make you happy?

5:10
