You know what kind of day it is when you wake up and all anybody is talking about is Ted Cruz. But the Grind grinds on…

Storm surges are terrifying. I recommend living on a hill or mountain. But not too steep of a mountain or else you have to worry about avalanches. And if you live too elevated, oxygen deprivation and hypothermia are increased risks. Yes, a nice hill is what we need. My sympathy to those of you affected by recent (or not-so-recent) hurricanes.

Last night, I went to watch Tyler Glasnow versus Yonny Chirinos. The home town Bulls won 2-0. Glasnow’s stuff looked as impressive as ever, but he still lacks command and control. I’d say he has 35 grade control and 25 grade command. Chirinos had 60 grade control and 30 grade command. He has an unusually open stride which probably affects his ability to generate velocity.

What kind of work are you planning for this fine Labor Day? As you see, I’m doing my usual assignments – although it’s debatable as to whether or not what I do is technically “labor.” I do have a couple typing injuries which seems to support the notion that I’m a laborer.

I rose to new levels of terrible yesterday, scoring just 38.45 points with a DraftKings lineup. I didn’t stick around long enough to see that Madison Bumgarner was scratched.
