Jeff Zimmerman: Both? Neither should be available. I’d go with Ward first.

The Batman: With Nootbaar coming off the IL soon and interesting options on FAAB like Marsh and Joe, would you cut Outman already in a 12 team 5×5? He’s been awful and now isn’t a constant in the lineup.

Jeff Zimmerman: I’d be streaming at least one OF spot in a 12-teamer. Outman is a streamer based on facing enough righties. I’d lean Marsh over Joe.

Jeff: MacArthur in the same pool as Leclerc and Scott or above bc he’s got 2 saves?

Jeff Zimmerman: Not sure yet but close

Guest: Was drafting Strider 1.1 bad process?

Jeff Zimmerman: 1.1 probably IMO, 1.2 not so much. With the first few rounds, I try to limit my exposure if a injury happens

JT: Who is the better dart throw, Ashby or Turnbull?

Jeff Zimmerman: Turnbull, Ashly was horrible in his minor league rehab start. His velocity was down so much, it was being picked up as a changeup.

Bill: Are we holding or dropping Trevor Story?

Jeff Zimmerman: I’d drop. Even if he returns, it’s likely that his shoulder still bothers him

Cashman: Give up on nasty Nestor for littell?

Jeff Zimmerman: That seems like a fine trade. There were no guarantees on Nester coming back from his injury

Goggins: Mountcastle or N Lowe when latter healthy? Spiderman meme? Good start vs coming off oblique decider, maybe

Jeff Zimmerman: Mountcastle. I’m a little worried Walsh might split time with Lowe

Daro: Do you prefer Detmers over Gavin Stone?

Jeff Zimmerman: Right now, yes.

Timbo: Good weekend from Tovar. He a Coors product only or could be top-12 SS?

Jeff Zimmerman: No top-12, not even close for me.

JW: Who is the better use of a roster spot if your speculating  on Saves ROS? Who is the best at the moment: Kopech, Ginkel, Brock Stewart, or David Robertson (12 tm 5×5 redraft)

Jeff Zimmerman: Kopech for both

Johny5Alive: It’s Oliver Dunn interesting? Playing more than expected? Would you try to grab in an NL only?

Jeff Zimmerman: In an NL-only, grab him up

AustinPeavy: Terrible news about Strider. Who do you think the Braves will call up first? Bryce Elder or AJ Smith Shawver?

Jeff Zimmerman: No clue right now and I’m not really interested in either over some of the other WW options.

Middle Infield: Blaze Alexander, Oliver Dunn, or David Hamilton – Who has the most value in roto for the rest of the season?

Jeff Zimmerman: it might be Dunn based on playing time. I would add Hamilton first based on the SB upside

Sal: Haniger is not striking out which is… new. He’s a top -___ OF when healthy?

Jeff Zimmerman: 75    25 HR and a .250 is not that interesting

Jeff Zimmerman: They are both close in value. The key will be if Sheets gets platooned.

Honkus Wagner: How early and how much FAAB % are you using to stash the young Orioles who might be out there in 15s and 16s. Mayo, Hjerstaad, Norby

Jeff Zimmerman: I’m not going to speculate with them. It’s impossible to know which one and for how long. I’d focus on the guy (e.g. Mongomery with CHW) in system with needs.

Steve: drop J Paxton (LAD) for B Garrett (MIA) or G Williams (CLE)? League counts IP QS and K/9 (not Wins) – season long

Jeff Zimmerman: Maybe for G Williams.

Matt: Thoughts on Ivan Herrera’s playing time going forward? His bat seems legit right?

Jeff Zimmerman: I think with even a 50% share, he’s interesting as a deep catcher option.

Ronnie: Saves+Holds format – release LeClerc for Yennier Cano or Shelby Miller?

Pressly Abreu: Both are droppable in a S+H 12-er for dudes like Robertson and D Hudson, you think?

Bob: S+H league. Have Diaz and Chapman. Drop abreu for any of these? uribe, m miller, slaten, Robertson, Ginkel, poche. So many options on the wire.

Donny Park: Michael Busch small sample size — plate discipline gains and hitting the ball hard — Buying as a viable fantasy contributor this year? 12 OC+

Analyst: NL-only 5×5. Would you drop Lynn or Mikolaus, for Turnbull or Waldron or Winans? Winans seems to be a reliever. I can put any pickup on my reserves for a while.

Greg: Is Jose Abreu done?  In a 15 team NFBC, cut him for a waiver wire CI guy like J Walsh or T Lipscomb or hold for another week and hope he gets going?

Jeff Zimmerman: He’s still hurt (hand or wrist). Feel free to move on while checking in to see if he’s healthy

The Path of Totality: Is Pepiot now safe? Logan Allen? SP help for 12 team Points. QS league.

Jeff Zimmerman: Who knows what safe is? They are safe to make their next start.

AustinPeavy: Kenta Maeda’s been less than impressive so far out of all the SPs on Detroit Tigers staff. If he continues to struggle, will he make way for the Tigers to bring up Matt Manning permanently to replace Maeda in the rotation or is Maeda safe because the Tigers gave him 2 year contract?

Jeff Zimmerman: I could see Maeda eventually head to the bullpen but it’ll take a month or two. On top of that, I’m not sure Manning is an upgrade over Maeda

Mike: Are you concerned about Cedric Mullins.  He filled up the counting categories, but his AVG and OBP were awful and Baltimore has a lot of OF depth, although more on the corners, like Heston.

Jeff Zimmerman: Yes but he’s always been on the verge of being unrosterable

Do You Want Moore?: I’ve always had a soft spot for Dylan Moore. Should I try to change myself or should I pick him up for Josh H. Smith in my AL only OBP legue?

Jeff Zimmerman: No, Moore only starts against lefties.

Walsh: Brayan Bello was dropped in my 15 tm mixed. Is he worth a big bid? Numbers aren’t great.

Jeff Zimmerman: I’d drop 20%+

Guest404: How do you prioritize hitters ROS when deciding between two similar player types? Projections? Razzball? Some other ranking system?

Jeff Zimmerman: For pitchers, I have a complex system that averages several values including STUFFF++pp values. As for hitters, I’m just using my preseason projections for now. Eventually I’ll move to in-season Steamer.

Blake ayal: How would you rank minter, Daniel Hudson, Kittredge, Gallegos, Estevez and kekering in a saves plus holds lead? Also any under the radar ratio options you’d suggest. Thanks for doing this weekly!

Jeff Zimmerman: Even … and I’m not targeting any this week. I’m not after any of them.

Go Nats: For hitters, once into the season and you start to see playing time changes, do you accept the BatX or other plate appearance projections or adjust to your own playing time expectations?

Jeff Zimmerman: I start with theirs (Razzball for now). Also, I’ve written up lineups on Friday so I know of some changes. One other item I run on Sunday is a ranking of plate appearances over the last few days to see if anyone is playing more.
