Deadline FOMO: Looking to make moves before new situational values stabilize. Drop Cron or Suzuki for Burleson, Wallner or Bauers?

Jeff Zimmerman: Bauers and Cron is lateral. Maybe add Bauers for the extra position flexibility. I might go with Wallner for Suzuki, but it could blow up in a week.

Toolsy: Suzuki has been bad. Ross said he’s now going to split time. Do you seen any value in him for 14 team dynasty?

Jeff Zimmerman: Dynasty, yes but in redraft he’s a tough hold

Maris9: What do you make of Toronto newby Davis Schneider? Nice start. What do you see?

Jeff Zimmerman: While he hasn’t stood out before this season and the projection don’t like him, he dominated AAA (top-10 bat) so I feel the team had to promote him. I’m not sure there will be any steels from him … let me run his comps.

Jeff Zimmerman: With these options, just start steaming each week. Turang, Wallner, and Rodgers for me. Julien is unplayable this week with just 2 games against righties.

Jeff Zimmerman: Kutter. I think he’s going be one of those guys going in the 15th round to start drafts and then move up to the top 10

Maris9: Luis Urias or Elvis Andrus rest of season? AL only league.

Jeff Zimmerman: Elvis, Urias might no play with Story on the way

Toolsy: Medina control issues today. Do you still have him over silseth and ragans? Not sure if article was written before silseth pitched today. Thanks

Jeff Zimmerman: Those guys are close and should be rostered in all 12 at this point. After today, its Silseth, Medina, and Ragans. There are so many worse options than this trio

Guestarama: 12 teamer. 1st or 2nd on most categories…any reason to hold Manoah, or just drop and stream MRs to preserve ratios?

Jeff Zimmerman: Either way. One issue is that there are those teams who don’t care about ratios and are throwing out max starters. These teams can catch up in K’s fast and eventually Wins. Make sure the teams behand you aren’t going all in for K’s

perry: Any deep-league replacements for Jung worth a desperation flyer? We start 30 3B in our league

Jeff Zimmerman: Washington options: Alu and Vargas. I’m guessing Mead is already rostered. Trade a SP off for a 3B. I’m sure several teams could use pitching.

Rodon or Rodone?: Rodon was throwing harder today but now is hurting. Where are you on the hope meter?

Jeff Zimmerman: Zero, I’m dropping him in all formats. I don’t have time for him to figure out what he’s doing.

qane: Appreciate you doing these. Since July 1 my starter have an ERA of 6.29, WHIP of 1.55. Gausman, Cobb, Detmers, Braxton, Kirby, Rodon, Elder, GWilliams. 5×5 H2H. Is there anyone in this group you’d dump for Medina or Payamps targeting September playoffs?

Jeff Zimmerman: Rodon and Elder aren’t rosterable and a MR is more helpful

Toolsy: Would you cut Javier for Crawford in 10’s, qs format? I can’t believe I had to ask that question

Jeff Zimmerman: I’ve got Crawford as a 3.91 ERA talent and Javier at 4.70. ZipS projections is the only source bullish on him.

Lewis: Any of these stand out (bench bat, no specific need)? Stanton, Ozuna, Vaughn, O’Neill, Varsho, Bader, Nootbaar

Jeff Zimmerman: I’d ignore Stanton but nothing wrong with the rest.

Maris9: What price you put on Esteury Ruiz in AL only league. Back after injury.

Jeff Zimmerman: He’s going to go for a pretty penny. He’s already back to stealing. Someone will pay up

Dave in slc: Where would you rank Josh bell if he were in your fa article?

Jeff Zimmerman: Probably #1

Carl: Mead an impact player ROS with playing time?

Jeff Zimmerman: Impact yes when he plays. I don’t think he will much.

MisterMet: Drop or hold Fraley with the toe injury?

Jeff Zimmerman: You might have to. That said, I like to wait a week for any updates and better timeline. Weekend injuries aren’t fully examined

Deadline FOMO: Enjoyed Pivetta’s bulk prowess. If he’s starting/bouncing, is he better than Clarke Schmidt?

Jeff Zimmerman: Possibly. Both should be rostered in a league.

Raga: Safe to Drop Jung?

Jeff Zimmerman: I think so. I’m dropping Naylor in most leagues.

Steve in NYC: How much would you bid on J Bauers, 15 tm NFBC,  Thanks!

Jeff Zimmerman: It all comes now to needs. My guess his average add will be around $5

Drew: Littell worth what would likely be my last add that’s more than $1-3 rest of the way?

Jeff Zimmerman: If it’s your last major add, I might wait.

Jeff Zimmerman: If you really need pitching, I might. It’s tough to know with no context.

Michael: Is Sterling Marte going to come around or do I cut him and move on?

Jeff Zimmerman: He’s just a little bit better version of Myles straw right. The stolen bases are the only category he contributes with.

Urias: Is Urias a better choice in OBP than the rooks (Mead/Rocchio/Schneider) because of PT, or is Story coming for his spot soon?

Jeff Zimmerman: Urias is on par with the “rooks”. I might gamble on Schneider first

Silseth: Roster Resources continues not to show Silseth getting starts (which is why I cut him last week, sadly). Are they wrong?

Jeff Zimmerman: The Angels haven’t declared who is pitching so RR waits.

Lucas: Nestor out there in a 12 where my staff is dying. 25% of my remaining?

Jeff Zimmerman: Tork stands out but with that group, a stream is likely especially with Jones and probably the other COL corners

#kittens: I was about to drop Tim Anderson, but then he got dropped yesterday

Jeff Zimmerman: I blame no one for moving on. Now those keeper-league underperformers, see if Anderson’s owner is contending and add him for pennies. He could bounce back.

TMoney: Dynasty league, no cost:    Catchers are S Perez and Varsho…Im in 3rd, probably 2nd is best can do, but since dynasty would dropping one or both for Kirk/Y Diaz make sense for now and next year?   12 teams, one c league.  strikeouts hurt you in this format

Jeff Zimmerman: You could see if Yarho will be C next season in your format, I’d drop for Diaz

KCbbq: 12 team AL only 5×5 H2H keeper. $11 of 100 FAAB left. Need  SP help. Replacing Baumann. Verlander, Silseth, Flaherty, Ragans, Littel available. Think I have any chance at getting any of the first three and are the latter two worth bidding on? How much to bid?

Jeff Zimmerman: No chance on JV, but put in bids for the other. Weird stuff can happen on these busy weeks.

AL Only Hitters: Top of the wire hitters in my AL Only league: Michael Taylor, Grichuck, Paul Dejong, CJ Cron, Refsnyder, Eduardo Escobar…..I have an open spot and I’m in first with a few assets to trade before next weeks deadline. How agressive should I be (if at all) on any of these guys in order to hedge not upgrading via trade?

Jeff Zimmerman: I’d push for Grichuck

Samad: Looks like Samad Taylor drew a high bid in your TOUT league. Is that just a steals play? He’s not drawing regular starts.

Jeff Zimmerman: I’m guessing so. I didn’t dig into the team’s makeup

KC: Do you think Ragans is worth 10% of my remaining FAAB in a 15 team if I need Ks and Ws

Jeff Zimmerman: I’m guess he’s in the 10 to 30 range depending on how much money the league has
