Jeff Zimmerman: Ignore the “dropped” players. There are some unique rules in the league and the players aren’t actually dropped.

Ton: What is your feeling on E. Cabrera? Feel like he’s so close to putting it together and being a potential difference maker in the fantasy playoffs…

Jeff Zimmerman: I’d rather have a pitcher who already has put it together.

Chickie: Wondering if Yanier Diaz isn’t a better option than Sean Murphy and his .597 OPS since the ASB? It’s not like Murphy is playing everyday either, much like the Diaz dilemma.

Jeff Zimmerman: Diaz is probably a cut across the board with the lack of PT with everyone else healthy.

Mick: Thanks, Jeff, in advance…do you see Smith-Shawver joining the Atlanta rotation, or was this just a spot-start?

Jeff Zimmerman: I don’t see it. I like Winans more

Greg: In 15 team NFBC, is Eovaldi cuttable for a closer spec like B Raley? A forearm strain never seems to end up well.

Jeff Zimmerman: Not this week. The news might come back that the injury is not as bad.

Frank: What potential new closers would you prioritize?

Jeff Zimmerman: None, there is a chance all of the “new” ones get traded (Mets, Cards) or the replacement is read (Santos with Hendriks). Of them all, I’d get Santos since he might have the job for a week or two.

Johnny5Alive: How much faab on Lance Lynn in an NL only? He’ll get better results in LA?

Jeff Zimmerman: I’d expect max bids. Hopefully

Roi: Any concern about J Jung wearing down for ROS due to the increased amount of ABs.  ALOT of swing and miss in his game recently.

Jeff Zimmerman: I have him as a ~4.40 ERA talent. It comes down to the replacement options

KC: If I can move casas into UT, should I move Ohtani to pitcher this week? 1B, CI, etc all have players better than Casas. The team needs K, ERA WHIP.

Jeff Zimmerman: If you need pitching stats, use Ohtani there.

sheehan: The weekly timing in my league is unusual.  Sheehan has 2 starts at SD and AZ.  Play him or too big a risk and go with a streaming setup man.  Thank you

Jeff Zimmerman: That’s close. I might go with it if you have ratio help.

Justin: Does Genesis Cabrera have any chance at saves or holds in the next year or two?

Jeff Zimmerman: no

Paul Collins: Chas McCormick. Under the hood look different? ROS asset? Been a fun heater.

Jeff Zimmerman: He’s always been this guy but Dusty doesn’t like his defense. I’d hold.

Matt: Are you cutting Wells in NFBC 15 teamers this week? Or trying to hold it possible?

Jeff Zimmerman: Probably this week with the RP closer options. He’s been horrible over the last two months, but the wire might be too bare to find an improvement

Guest: In a 15T NFBC league, Sabol/D’arnaud as your starting catchers, would you bid a few bucks on Campusano and start him over one of them?

Jeff Zimmerman: Yes on Sabol if you need AVG. I’ve been mixing and matching catchers where I need help. Fortes and Wong provide a few SB

Save me!: I’ve been waiting to see a trade deadline deal that will cause someone on the waiver wire  to be a mid-tier closer… any scenarios you see that may happen?

Jeff Zimmerman: Suarez if SD sells (looking like no). The last man standing with the Mets could be it.

Patrick: I’ve had my eyes on Christopher Sanchez but would need to drop Javier, who can’t seem to get it together.  Is it worth the move?

Jeff Zimmerman: Sure

Veronica Mars: Kirk has had some tape measure blasts of late. Any underlying metrics that make you think he’s worth rostering in a league where Gary Sanchez David Fry Grandal Campusano and Tyler Stephenson are the best names on the wire?

Jeff Zimmerman: With those options, I’d go with Kirk for a week or two to see if he has figured something out.

Patrick: I need to make a decision between dropping Chas McCormick or Anthony Rizzo soon.  Who do you lean towards ROS?
