Pitching Crunch: Thanks for all the help this season, Jeff! I’ve got Shane Mclanahan returning in AL-Only Roto, saves + holds league. Which reliever should be my drop: Griffin Jax, Trevor Stephen, Jason Foley or Kevin Kelley? (The ratios matter too, I’m neck and neck in whip.)

Jeff Zimmerman: Kelley or Stephen.

Jerome: What should I do with Cristian Javier in 12 team mixed? Offered trades to a few managers in my league but found no takers, even at a discount. I have 5 good SPs so I’m tempted to cut him for someone I’m more likely to use.

Jeff Zimmerman: There is no reason to hold on at this point in the season.

Guestino: Based on the dwindling inventory of free agent SPs, would you recommend stocking up on T.Scott, B.Abreu, and H.Neris?

Vada Pinson: Thought i had catcher locked down in deep dynasty points 1 catcher format league. Kirk and Melendez have underachieved so I’m giving Stephenson a whirl next week. Which of the three is most droppable in a dynasty format given Melendez may not be C eligible forever?  Btw Bo Naylor is avail on waivers.  Thanks Jeff.

Porcho Villa: Struggling to settle on a long term solution at 1B. How would you prioritize: Jose Abreu, Casas, Cron, Tork, Votto, Nolan Jones? (12-team 5×5 OBP)

Jeff Zimmerman: Tork

Zack Gelof: Hi there I’m in an AL only league, $100 faab/web money. Used so far $16 (in coming from NL need to save money). How much should I use on me? What is ros projections?

Jeff Zimmerman: First on the projection, Mateo is the top comp. Lots of steals if paying but struggling with everything else.

Jeff Zimmerman: As for an amount to spend, $2 to $3

Lemony: Both young B Millers were dropped.  Do you favor one over the other ROS?

Jeff Zimmerman: I have Bobby with a 0.03 better ERA projection. Toss up really. Maybe focus on the upcoming schedule

Lemony: OK, to stream someone like Mike Ford this week at CI or lock in to Jake Burger?

Jeff Zimmerman: I’d stream Ford

Zack Gelof: Am I a better speed option than Dairon Blanco or Myles Straw? Am I worth a bid in ALOnly over those two? What percentage of an original $100 budget? Will owners ever NOT have to desperately grasp at the faintest possibility of steals on the wire??

Jeff Zimmerman: Probably on par with Straw. It’ll probably take 3% to 5% of initial budget.

KCbbq: In 12 team AL only 5×5 H2H keeper league using S+1/2H my RPs are Will Smith, Fairbanks, Duran and Swanson. Would you drop Swanson for Graveman? Concern is Smith is in a job share and Swanson is just a holds guy but a very good one…..and Graveman has picked up saves but at the expense of poor ratios. And Hendricks lies in the wings for his job back

Jeff Zimmerman: And Graveman could be traded and most likely to a team who won’t use him as a closer. I’d ride out the two weeks of Graveman and see who pops up.

Greg: Any hope for Nolan Jones getting consistent playing time or the Rockies just gonna Rockie? Drop in 15 team for Johan Rojas?

Jeff Zimmerman: Rojas will probably get 50% playing time. Short side of a platoon and starts when Harper at 1B

abab: With Harper moving to 1b..no reason to hold onto D. Hall  in NL only is there?  His AB’s were already limited and looks Like Schwarber will move to DH

Jeff Zimmerman: You might get 50% at bats for a week or two

Tallulah Trebuchet: Would you drop Nestor Cortes in a 12team roto league with no IL spots? Grayson, Reese Olson, Kutter, Priester on the wire. Other drops would be Helsley or Hendriks but I’m hurting for saves and hoping they net me some in the second half.

Jeff Zimmerman: Drop and move on with those options. Cortes wasn’t good this year so roster decent options.

Forza: Thank you for these!  Am I crazy to carry Henry Davis at C, Soderstrom at 1B & Endy in my UTIL and let their play dictate next steps?  All 3 are flexible position-wise and + offensive profiles.

Bobbo: What should I do with Andres Munoz? Any chance he starts getting some saves?

clarence: 15tm OBP league. My Alejandro Kirk keeper plan (aka, The Kirkening) was a bust. Picked up Yanier Diaz, who’s been good but not great for me (again, OBP) and Alvarez is on the way back soon. Should I go in now on Endy Rodriguez or Gabriel Moreno?

Jeff Zimmerman: I would go with the other choices

Wills Contreras: Willson Contreras sat 2 of 3 games both before and after the ASB.  Now StL says they’re going to carry 3 Cs and give more time to the rook.  Should I be quick to dump him for Elias Diaz or Kirk (10 team 1 C) if this continues?

Jeff Zimmerman: I could see him being dropped in a 1 C format but you have to do better than Diaz or Kirk

A Jolly Good Oberkfellow: In a 12 team points league, has Joh Lowe run his course? All the underlying stats look unpleasant. Would pick up Chas McCormick.

Jeff Zimmerman: I agree with the take on Lowe but there has to be someone better than McCormick available in a 12

Turned the Corner: I have McLain, Altuve, and J. Turner. I need to pickup an OF and just wondering about McLain being worth a hold over the other two… I like the guy but just not quite sold for some reason. Thoughts?

Jeff Zimmerman: I’m thinking 3% to 4%. One issue with Finnegan, he could get traded

Pants: How are you feeling about Grayson Rodriguez return, planning on sitting against the dodgers but seems like he figured a few things out. My ratios are trashed from severino and Javier, so maybe just go for it? 12tm roto dynasty.
