KCbbq: 12 team AL only 5×5 H2H keeper league using W+QS. Been offered $20 Pablo Lopez for my $19nBryce Miller and $40 Judge. My SPs are Gausman, Jon Gray, Joe Ryan, Wells and Lynn (streamer). Trade or sit and hope for Judge to be back in 4-6 weeks? Also concerned that Miller is too FB reliant and IP limit? Good chance when Judge comes back he’ll have issues (turf toe) and not have his usual pop.

second thoughts: I was thinking of bidding 200 out of 400 remaining on Williams in my 15-teamer which probably will guarantee I get him, but now thinking too much risk of both being sent down and not being very good, and I could use that 200 more wisely down the road.  Do I go with first instinct or my better judgment?

Jeff Zimmerman: I think it comes down to if you need pitching or not. I’m not sure other options will be called up. As for hitters, I could see several big names get the call

Sam: What kind of production to expect out of Westburg ROS?  15 HR/10 Stls?

Jeff Zimmerman: Maybe half those totals

Catchin the Stream: Stephenson has been meh.  Worth dropping to stream a hotter hand like Bailey, Y Diaz, or Sabol?  One C league but it is OBP

Jeff Zimmerman: Yes, drop him for one of the others. It looks like a position you can stream

Steve: ROS – Hudson (LAD) or Jax (MIN) – Saves+Holds format

Jeff Zimmerman: Jax for now

KCbbq: Looking to replace Velazquez in 12 team AL only 5×5 H2H keeper. Have $21 of 100 FAAB left. Eddy Escobar, Moustaskas, McKinney, Biggio, Fletcher and Langliers best of what is available. What order and anyone worth more than $1? Could keep and use Valazquez’ SBs but pt is now an issue.

Jeff Zimmerman: I’d go with McKinney as the top choice but no more than $1

Jon B: I’m streaming my MI position at the moment.  Who’s the best bet for this week between Arcia, Tovar (home all week) and M. Garcia?

Jeff Zimmerman: Tovar at home and just pay for the Razz weekly planner to look these up yourself

AJ: Fraley has been everything we’ve ever asked for…. Think he keeps this up?  Does his exit velocity make you nervous?

Jeff Zimmerman: Sure on keeping it up, he just need to stay in the platoon

Oil Can Boyd fan: Need some guidance. I’m in a 12-team, H2H, points redraft. Good/decent starters are as scarce as hen’s teeth. No one will trade them either. Aside from the blue ribbon kinda prospects who have already come up like Bibee, Taj, Eury, Gav Williams, etc., what starters are in the minors who may be up to “the show” before the All Star break? Need some names to watch, if you will.

Jeff Zimmerman: I don’t know the minors at all. The only one I can think of is SF’s Harrison

Jon B: Would you drop E. Rosario or McCarthy for Votto?  Decently stocked at both positions so this is just depth.  Dropping Sale also an option but I’ll have an IL spot open in a week or so, so would prefer to hold.

Westburg: Thanks for doing this Jeff. 12tm mixed keeper element 5×5 (obp and QS) I was about to drop Westburg to speculate on Henry Davis. The Westburg call up shakes that up a little now, I think. Would you take Davis over Westburg? Would you drop someone else? Current C is salvy, other drop candidates could be… Royce Lewis, Spencer Torkelson, Nolan Gorman, and I guess Bobby Miller, if you are turned off by the last two starts.

NFBC_OC: how much faab for mountcastle in 12s

Jeff Zimmerman: I’m not sure. The lineup is getting loaded with O’Hearn and Hicks hitting.

Jeff Zimmerman: I wonder if the team is just going to cycle guys to the DH and the bench

Greg: Added Hicks last Sunday, but in a 15 team NFBC would you still hold onto Helsley? Report today was Helsley was “far from returning”.  Would probably add a streaming type SP or reserve hitter in his place.

Jeff Zimmerman: I thought I read the ASG but could be later. It depends on if you might need the Saves if Helsley comes back and takes Hicks’s job.

Jeff Zimmerman: He’s close to starting all the time. I wish I had more.

Chris: Curious your long term thoughts on MVargas, CAbrams and TCasas?  Worth holding on deep taxi squad or move on and grab some top 100 prospects that may be FAs? Thanks for doing these!

Jeff Zimmerman: They are worth rostering over 50th or later ranked prospects

Jordan: Am I delusional in thinking Darick Hall can hit 15 HR after the ASB?

Jeff Zimmerman: Yep

Jordan: Reese Olson at Texas.  Petrified or cautiously optimistic?

Jeff Zimmerman: Petrified and tried to bench him where possible
