Frank: Are we still believers in Vinny P? All the peripherals say hold but it’s been rough. Prefer him to Pratto? darick hall?

Jeff Zimmerman: I believe in Vinnie over the other two. Probably all three should be rostered in 12-team for deeper leagues.

Kyle M: What’re your thoughts on Josh Lowe?

Jeff Zimmerman: He’s Joey Gallo-lite

Jeff Zimmerman: I’m not sure if that is playable in most leagues.

Paddy: Gorman or Justin Turner ROS?

Jeff Zimmerman: Turner but I could understand dropping either one.

Bruce in 2023: Dropped Tanner Scott, so I have an opening.  Thinking of adding Felix Bautista . I own Jorge Lopez. Saves only Roto. Could use those Ks/9. If no saves.

Bleday day: Bleday worth a shot over all of Baddoo, E. Rosario and T. Taylor?

Jeff Zimmerman: I would add Taylor first. The hope is that Bleday hits like Taylor

Jeff Zimmerman: As for Baddoo, he’s one of the few SB guys on the wire

Jeff Zimmerman: I’m not interested in Rosario and I could see the Braves bring in a platoon bat with Duvall out

KCbbq: Prato available in my 12 team AL only keeper league. Have $16 of 100 FAAB left. He’s high risk/high reward due to high K%. Also unsure of his pt. What kind of bid you think he fetches? I’m looking at replacing Josh Smith as it looks like the league has figured him out. Or do you have hopes for him.?

Jeff Zimmerman: I think he’ll go for a ton in AL only.

DW: Your thoughts on Trayce Thompson as a (hopefully) short term sub for Devers.  3 against DC and then four in Denver this week, and he seems to be firmly entrenched in the lineup.  Other options would be Lamb (same schedule), Wendle (SBs!!), Bleday or Adell.  Thanks for the help.

Jeff Zimmerman: I’d go with Wendle, he’s a longer-term add. Taylor is coming back soon (possibly this week) and Thompson’s value could take a hit.

Bleday day: Looks like Reid Detmers had 82 innings last year and is it 76 today. Does put him 5-6 starts away from getting shut down for the year?

Jeff Zimmerman: Probably and the Angels aren’t going to push him

Percy Miracles: Are there any middle RPs you’d target for ratios and Ws that can help ease the loss of King?

Jeff Zimmerman: I like Reynaldo Lopez of the White Sox

Jeff Zimmerman: Yes on both, but Ashby might go to the bullpen

Woody: Wondering about guys soon to come off the IL. Pitchers like May or feiereyen and hitters like yepez and Segura. Get them now or pass?

Jeff Zimmerman: There are several nice options.

Jeff Zimmerman: May is throwing and hard (numbers in my WW article). Yepez and Segura are decent options but Haniger Taylor, and Peralta are on the way back.

NFBC: How would you rank these RPs? Finnegan, Seranthony, De Los Santos, Puk, Poche, Bass, Phillips, Diaz

Jeff Zimmerman: Why don’t you add a few dozen more?

Jeff Zimmerman: Finnegan and Diaz should be the priority.

Zeke: $17 is kind of a lot for Rengifo, no?

Jeff Zimmerman: Maybe, Rengifo does play every day and hit high in the lineup. With two positions. Comes down to the team’s needs

Jeff Zimmerman: Let’s look at last week.

Jeff Zimmerman: The median value was around $15, maybe expect double that this week

NFBC: Noticed Ezekial Duran didn’t make your column. Still any interest now that he’s back and seems to be playing every day?

Jeff Zimmerman: I didn’t know for sure that he’s playing but he seems like one of the better Dever replacements in 15-teamers.

Joe D: Have a 12 team H2 categories question. I’ve got Alonso, Abreu, and Cron. I have Alcantara, Wheeler, Kershaw, Gonsolin, Strider, Lynn, Cobb and Mahle.
Been offered Morton for Cron and am thinking ahead to playoff run with a staked staff. Would you pull the trigger on that?

Jeff Zimmerman: Make the trade. I know the Rockies play a ton of road games in the 2H. Do check on the Rockies schedule during the playoffs

Gary: Do you think Alexis Diaz has a lot of value as a closer for saves rest of season and even post trade deadline?

Jeff Zimmerman: Some for sure.

Matt L: Think Eddie Rosario is rosterable in 12 teamers with Duval on the IL?

Chucky: Got any inside dope on Robert and his seeing pink elephants  and the suddenly suspicious jammed my hand into the bag prior to the HR Derby JRod? Both look a bit fishy. Think the M’s are too embarrassed to admit he suffered the injury at the derby and took the more plausible hurt it during a regular season game approach. Just sayin….
