Dave: Should I drop Seranthony Dominguez for Aroldis Chapman? Saves only.

Jeff Zimmerman: Yes. My take is that Chapman may get the role back (his velo is up) and hold it for the rest-of-season. If he doesn’t in the next two weeks, drop him for people moved at the trade deadline.

Bruce in 2023: Gavin Sheets turning into a everyday player vs rightys ?

Jeff Zimmerman: He always has been in the majors and is scheduled to face six righties this week.

Bob: For an empty roster spot would rather have Eloy Jimenez as a second extra hitter; or Snell, Carrasco or Ashby as a seventh starter?

Jeff Zimmerman: Carrasco

Guest: Thoughts on Luis Garcia and villar rest of season

Jeff Zimmerman: lol, why not ask for Will Smith while you’re at it

Jason: Do you believe in Aaron Hicks rest of way. Him or Josh Rojas h2h ROS. Thanks

Jeff Zimmerman: I’d stick with Rojas for now. I’m worked carp and/or someone picked up in a trade will cut into Hicks playing time.

Maris: Chance for big league pickup Monday. Jarren Duran or Michael Harris II rest of season and beyond. Thanks for doing these.

Jeff Zimmerman: Harris for me. He defense will keep him in lineups

PJ: is 15% of my dwindling remaining funds an overpay for Mitch White?

Jeff Zimmerman: Probably way too much for someone who could lose a rotation spot any day. I”d go 1% to 3%

Frank: Desperately need saves in my 12 team NL only league.  Who are some under the radar players to target that could get me a small handful of saves in the 2H?

Johnny Ringo: Drop Montero for Bethancourt or Haase?

KCbbq: You in on Nolan Jones ros? How much FAAB (start with 100) you think in 12 team AL only H2H 5×5 keeper league?

Jeff Zimmerman: I’m not all in because he could get demoted once Oscar Gonzalez comes off the IL

Jolly Roger: Trying to look ahead and project 2 start pitchers for the week after all-star week. Will most teams “reset” their rotation (meaning I should chase 4th & 5th starters) or is this a fools errand and I should worry about this next Sunday?

Jeff Zimmerman: There will be some resetting, but I’d look for young guys with innings limits to get put into the 5th spot. I think a person would have to go team by team

Guest: How long we holding onto Vinny P? Seems to be struggling

Jeff Zimmerman: Really, let me look

Jeff Zimmerman: A .172 BABIP will improve. I’d buy low if possible

Jeff Y: Think the Orioles will hold Jorge Lopez with their recent streak and hold pat, or is he as good as gone?

Guest: Got offered e cab and detmers for Gunnar in 12 tm Otto 4×4 definitely rebuilding is that decent return?

Jeff Zimmerman: It comes down to needs but the trade is fair.

quadrangular: Hi Jeff. Would you prefer Knebel, Brusdar, or Nick Martinez over the near future to speculate for more saves?

Clay: I’m thinking about picking up either Winder, Detmers, or Civale. The drop would be Cueto. Whom should I pick up or should I hold on to Cueto? Roto 5X5.

Jeff Zimmerman: With those options available, I add and stream Winder or Civale

Jeff Y: I can’t help but feel the A’s will hold Montas and Laureano at the deadline. Montas for injury reasons, and Laureano for the years he has left. A lot of people think he is trade bait, but I honestly think the A’s would have to be overwhelmed.

Jeff Zimmerman: I could see that.

Greg: What do you think of Whitlock’s value ROS in a 12 team mixed league? Saves only. Is he worth keeping if I have Houck?

Jeff Zimmerman: In 12’s, I’m moving on since I need the spot for players with defined roles.

Bart: Any chance KCR deals Scott Barlow?

Jeff Zimmerman: He’s not on MLBTR’s radar so no.

Kyle: How would you rank Lauer, Berrios, Wainwright and M. Perez for rest of season?

Jeff Zimmerman: Berrios, Wainwright, Perez, Lauer

Bello: Is Bello worth a pickup in standard leagues; does he stick in rotation rest of season?

Jeff Zimmerman: Probably not on both instances.

Keith Hernandez’ cat: 12t mixed roto: Would picking up Laureano enable me to trade Mullins for SP help?

Jeff Zimmerman: Laureano is on the waiver wire? Add him and make the trade.

Capital City Goofball: How would you rank these hitters ROS? Nelson Cruz, Wilmer Flores, Steven Kwan, Matt Carpenter.

Jeff Zimmerman: 10% of the original for each. They might not go for that much but both are legit adds with nothing on the wire

ToddimusOpolis: Looking to upgrade 2B bench bat: Schoop, C. Hernandez or Diego Castilo

Jeff Zimmerman: Schoop (8 games) and Castillo (at COL) are solid adds for the weak

Jim: Javy Baez is solid on the road, and a nightmare at home. Is Thairo Estrada worth rostering as a 4th middle infielder in a obp/k league to help with Javy home starts? Or just grab a better bat (Kirloff, L. Gonzalez, etc.)?

Load of Semien: Last two starters in my lineup for the upcoming week….12 team 5×5 roto…I have multiple guys who can move around my lineup, so position doesn’t matter.  Which two would you play out of Jake Myers, Adam Duvall, Josh Rojas, Thairo Estrada, and Vinnie Pasquantino?  As always, Thanks!

Jeff Zimmerman: Probably Vinnie and Rojas, but against, I’d see what weekly projections say.

Greg: Detmers or Cobb? 12 team mixed roto

Jeff Zimmerman: Cobb and it’s not even close.

Sluggerrrr: If the Royals don’t trade MAT, I will have lost the last remaining shred of confidence that I hold for the entire FO.

Jeff Zimmerman: The deal is that other front offices are smart enough to not take MAT. No Benny deal should be the one to watch.

Wes: Hayes HR today but has been awful for a month+. Like him for 2nd half in 12’ers or Urias, Miranda instead for HR/R/RBI?

Jeff Zimmerman: If needing HR, go with Miranda

Pitching: Need a bat. Drop Lauer, Ashby, lodolo, or Kirby for laureano, Nolan Jones, c Santana?

Travis: Schoop or Estrada + what is Nolan Jones’ ceiling in your opinion?

Jeff Zimmerman: That’s a tough one. I’d try to go with all three but might drop Ober

Pat: Keeper league with large rosters and lots of scoring categories. I have all three of Varsho, Keibert, and Melendez. Hold all three and see if two distinguish themselves in the second half or drop one now to fill other needs and which should I drop?

Farmer, Hendriks, points league, steals mean squat) as their first fantasy action all season…I’m talking leaving players on IL/NA in their starting lineup week-after-week in a head-to-head…was i wrong to question this on the message board?  some pretty wild pushback for it

Guest: i play in a long term dynasty league where one team consistently drops high performing players.  this year its been morton, paredes, martin perez, to name a few of the recent ones.  have you ever encountered this and how would you handle it?  its been this way for years

Jeff Zimmerman: This happens in one of my expert leagues. With it, I prefer that there is FAAB bidding so everyone can add them
