Kate: Aaron ashby looked pretty good again today.  Brewers gonna keep him in the rotation or is he gonna get bounced back and forth?

Jeff Zimmerman: He has looked good I’m not 100% sure he sticks, but I don’t think so. He is the one arm they can option back to AAA

Frank: How would you rank Joe, Mateo, Ortega and Baddoo, rest of year. Can you use help in everything but runs.

Jeff Zimmerman: Joe, Ortega, Mateo, and Baddoo

Jeff Zimmerman: I have Baddoo the lowest because he was a in a platoon but he might now be any more with Cameron in AAA

LTLJ: Which of these guys would you roster in a 12 tm? Hilliard, Bader, Tellez

Jeff Zimmerman: Possbily Bader and Tellez

Ben: Zimmer (CLE) is showing power & speed recently.  Do you like him for Sept stretch run?  12 team mixed

Jeff Zimmerman: He’s sort of been interesting for a couple of months now.

Jeff Zimmerman: I think he’s a fine 5th outfielder but watch for Cleveland’s 5-game schedule this week

Yancey: Do you trust Ranger Suarez of Phillies to deliver decent innings ROS?

Jeff Zimmerman: Yes after his last start. I was worried about it before then

bD: Keibert Ruiz worth taking a chance on for ROS?

Jeff Zimmerman: Yes, especially in 12-catcher leagues

Ron: Is Mateo (BLT) a flash in the pan or good SB threat rest of the way?  Will he get everyday ABs?

Jeff Zimmerman: I think he’s a flash in the pan, but has hit good enough for another week. Re-evaluate next week.

Johnny5Alive: Luzardo is available in my nl only league. How much faab? Catch in my league is bids over $10 need to be kept next year at that price. So I guess it’s maybe what do you think is a good price for him for next year?

Jeff Zimmerman: $2. I don’t believe in him

AL Only 5×5: Grichuk has been ice cold in the 2nd half, is it just regression from his hot start or do you see any update ROS?

Jeff Zimmerman: Just regression. He wasn’t that good

AL Only 5×5: Jake Meyers, Corey Dickerson, or Kelenic ROS (AL Only 5×5)

Jeff Zimmerman: Meyers, Dickerson, Kelenic

DBacks: Will Jake McCarthy hit enough to be a regular?

Jeff Zimmerman: Don’t know.

Jeff Zimmerman: He’s been OK in the minors this year, but has 4 K’s in 5PA this season

Jeff Zimmerman: The 19 minor league steals are interesting

Jeff Zimmerman: I’m dropping all of them if there are any regulars on the wire

Jeff Zimmerman: They are not hitting enough to be rostered as part timers

Guest: Thanks for the weekly chats – appreciate the time, and they’re a huge help throughout the season!  In a 13-teamer, with QS, K, ERA, WHIP, SV, HLD, who would you consider dropping of Ynoa, Carrasco, Skubal, and Josiah Gray?  Saves and holds are very tight, so may need to drop an SP to stay up in both.

Jeff Zimmerman: I’d drop Carrasco of the group if you need Saves

Jack: Alex Reyes finally out of gas? Replace with Steckenrider for H2H playoffs. Love the Sun. night get-together. Thanks, Jeff.

Jeff Zimmerman: I think I’d keep on my bench. Steckenrider is not the answer for the playoffs

Ty Snell: Tyler Naquin done anything to make you think he can actually hit? Can he repeat this next year?

Jeff Zimmerman: He’s fine and will likely regress next season. The biggest issue right now is OF competition

Dave: Heaney or plesac for a spot “start”

Jeff Zimmerman: Pass. Go with Kyle Freeland

Hank: Should I start Zunino or Haase at C for ROS (16 team OBP H2H). Can’t figure out when Tampa sits or starts Zunino so I’m leaning Haase.

Jeff Zimmerman: Haase, especially since he gets some OF time

MI Gazing: Am I wrong in thinking Solak is just having a good week and Happ might actually be viable ROS in a points league with daily lineups (since both have big splits)?

Jeff Zimmerman: I’m not sold on Solak, but this is the last week to add since he be added every where

Rayals: Kebryan hayes hurting and the 3b. Options pretty thin. Do you like Villar, Moran, Dalbec, JD Davis, Ramon Urias, or taking a chance that Hayes is okay? Basically for one week.

Jeff Zimmerman: I’d likely keep Hayes, but if I moved on it would be for Urias

Guest: Bobby Dalbec, Carter Kieboom, or Frank Schwindel? Hurting for RBI, AVG. Would be dropping Bader and moving Walsh to OF

Jeff Zimmerman: I would stick with Bader but that might be the wrong move

AL Only 5×5: AL only 5×5 – Need avg. dealt Grandal for Arraez, was happy until seeing Grandal go off this week and Arraez on the bench, still the right process?

Jeff Zimmerman: Yes, but it sucks when that happens. I’m the king of trade for someone who then immediately goes on the IL

Hank: With Eddie Rosario healthy for ATL, is Duvall likely to be on the short side of a platoon? Or will it be some sort of AB sharing among Rosario, Pederson, Soler, Duvall and Heredia?

Jeff Zimmerman: I haven’t figured it out yet. This is the week to add Rosario, but he might need to be benched until the playing time clears up

JT: In a league with Holds as a 6th pitching category, would you rather go with Josh Staumont or Chafin the rest of the way?  Had Chafin and he was great before being traded, but dropped him when he fell down the order in the A’s bullpen.  He seems to slowly be working back into higher leverage situations, but it’s still a bit crowded at the top there.

Jeff Zimmerman: Chafin should be fine, but I’d look around for other options.

Sonny: Cabrera worth blowing out the last of the FAAB before the finals this week? Will have to make a significant cut to do so

Jeff Zimmerman: No, not in my opinion. As sad as it sounds. I’d rather add Matt Boyd

JT: Recently picked up Jorge Alfaro.  He’s been playing, has had a nice stretch at the plate and throws in the the occasional SB. Do you think he keeps it up, or would you consider dropping for Keibert Ruiz in a 13 team 6×6 w/ OPS?

Jeff Zimmerman: I think I’d hold steady

Hernado: Thoughts on Carlos Hernandez ros?  KC seems to be down to a 5 man rotation and the schedule looks weak.  Freeland is the only other decent pitcher on wire.

Jeff Zimmerman: I like him but has been two separate pitchers
