Jeff Zimmerman: Not sure. I think he’s very borderline. He needs to start throwing 5 IP

TJ: Elieser Hernandez has a rehab start on Tuesday, is it possible that if he has a good start they activate him for Sunday? Then Zach Thompson’s 2nd start would get bumped from the schedule

Jeff Zimmerman: While I hold Hernandez in several leagues, I’m not counting on him until he gets activated

TJ: Have you heard anything on Alex Cobb’s timeline with his wrist injury? I’ve checked all over and can’t find any updates

Scotty Mac: Thoughts on Luis Gil (and his 11 shutout innings to start his career but can’t stay off the Yankees taxi squad) and Joe Barlow (does he overtake Patton to close in Texas)? Would you drop Fraley for either if Fraley was on my bench?

Jeff Zimmerman: Patton has been a good pitcher this season. I’d go for the untalented closers like Floro, Finnegan, and Colome

Bad SP Strategy: With pickings so slim for SPs on the wire, in your leagues are you going with high octane RPs with good ratios hoping for the vulture W?

Jeff Zimmerman: I should be going after the middle relievers, but I didn’t spend the time to find them this weekend (wedding yesterday).

Jeff Zimmerman: No clue. Right now when football starts, is when some improvements go unnoticed and they can sleep.

Jeff Zimmerman: Kyle Freeland has improved, but unstartable over the next two weeks.

Infield Help: OBP 15 team league… I need help at infielder. Kieboom, Harrison or Belt are available. Any one of these stick out? I have 65 of 200 left for FAAB… I think Belt may and Harrison may go for 7 to 10. Is spending 15 for two of them too much? I’m in third and four places make money.

Jeff Zimmerman: I think you go for it, and $15 isn’t horrible if you aren’t need to make any other moves.

Roger: Reyes looks to be done in STL. How much Faab is too much for Gallegos? Im ready to go 25%

Guy: If a league has a yearly cap on waiver moves, what are your thoughts on allowing trading for extra waiver moves? Is this good/bad for competition? Or not a big deal?

Jeff Zimmerman: Sure, it’s the same as trading FAAB

Gil: Gil will be starting again on Friday/Sat — the ‘demotion’ was a paper-procedural move to get an extra pitcher until he starts again, as he came up as a covid replacement player meaning the 10 day rule does not apply.  With that information does that change your thoughts at all?

Jeff Zimmerman: I just don’t see them going to a 6-man rotation and pushing everyone back. Maybe I’m wrong
