Jeff Zimmerman: I was looking for comps on Lynch and had Matz and Rogers. 95 mph fastball with decent non-fastballs and average command.

Guest: How much should we bid for Daniel Lynch? Do we think he’s here to stay or just a one time start?

Jeff Zimmerman: In one of the recent Mining the News/Lineups, Moore mentions that the Royals are only calling up guys to stay.

Ryan: The elephant in the room is McClanahan. How heavy are we bidding on this guy? Everything points to him being the real deal.

Jeff Zimmerman: I’m a little worried about him getting Ray’ed around, but process that makes pitcher comps has deGrom as the comp. Who else has 100 mph fastballs and 90+ breakers.

Jeff Zimmerman: The innings and role are going to be key

Jeff Zimmerman: Maybe. I dug into him for my Waiver Wire article and found a jump in Zone% in his previous start and it seemed good today. I’d add but possibly hold off on starting.

Ray: reading several different articles this week on FAAB…appears to largely be a week to save cash…overall do you agree?

Jeff Zimmerman: Yes. Almost all the decent starters are owned, maybe some one offs. It’s getting to the point of the long grind starting

Andy: Robbie Ray good again? Do I drop him for Tommy Edman? Could use bench bat h2h thanks

Jeff Zimmerman: Ray is so all over the place. If you need a bat, make the trade.

Mike: Is Buster Posey worth spending 10% FAAB on? I have Grandal only.

Jeff Zimmerman: 10%, no. More like 3%

Jason: With Paddack and Luzardo on the IL now, are Gonsolin and/or Elieser Hernandez droppable in a 12 team? 3 IL spots

Jeff Zimmerman: This is a tough one. Gonsolin is a month away. Dave Robers commented on it today and may come back to the bullpen.

Jeff Zimmerman: I’d drop him first.

Jeff Zimmerman: Maybe drop Hernandez next to see if anyone cares. You might be able to add him when he gets closer to returning.

Phillies: Still passing on Pivetta with two games this week?

Jeff Zimmerman: I am. I don’t get involved with pitcher and a 6 BB/9

Bob: What should I bid for Johan Oviedo? 15 team dynasty. Thanks!

Jeff Zimmerman: Yes, I liked what I saw, but it sucks that he’s back in the minors.

Hank: Trying make sense of a replacement for D’Arnaud in a 2 catcher league.  Is William Contreras worth a pick up?  Or should I roll instead with someone like Astudillo?  Or Stephenson? Or Varsho?  However, I worry about playing time with the last three.  Is Nunez a better bet? HELP!

Jeff Zimmerman: Catcher is a mess this week. If you can add Contreras, take a chance on him

Jeff Zimmerman: Astudillo will be catching now that Jeffers got demoted so he’s a decent add.

Jeff Zimmerman: Varsho has 1, maybe 2 starts so far and several pinch hit at bats so it’s tough to add him.

Jeff Zimmerman: Stassi might be a cheap option

Eva’s Woman: What % of FAAB on Staumont?  You think he gets majority of saves?

Jeff Zimmerman: If he’s available in any NFBC type league, he might go for 30%, same as Merryweather did

Jeff Zimmerman: It really depends if another owner is desperate.

Guest: I’m in a Points League.  Dylan Moore is a free agent and he seems to be showing life.  His positional versatility would be better for my team.  Do you believe in Dylan’s resurgence?  Can he be the player he was last year?

Jeff Zimmerman: I’m not at all a fan of Dylan Moore. He’s just not a good overall hitter. With Lewis now healthy and Kalenic coming up soon, he’s likely heading to the bench.

Red foreman: 12 team roto: I left the auction with Kirilloff and Adell. Holding has worked out for Kirilloff. Am I dumb for maybe dumping Adell tonight for Josh Rojas?

Jeff Zimmerman: In spring training, the Angels said they wanted to see Adell hit in the minors. So now Adell has to hit … we’ll see.

Jeff Zimmerman: That said, Rojas is hot and I’d add him

Jeff Zimmerman: Givens. He’s been next in line for weeks.

David: In a tough spot. 10 team league, all the categories, have three IL guys – Hayes, Yelich, and Burnes – for two spots, as well as some decent starters and (so far) under-performers in Suarez and Bohm, plus a fine fantasy guy in Edman. I don’t want to cut anyone, but Kiriloff was cut before his explosion and I am dying to grab him. Question: cut Hayes, one of the underperformers/decent starters (think Taijuan level) or Edman, or pass on Kiriloff?

Jim: I’m the same catcher mess this week with D’arnaud out for a while.  You recommended William C. but I wasn’t sure if you liked him or Astudillo better.  Astudillo has been playing regularly it seems.

Jeff Zimmerman: I wouldn’t. Just $50 or so with me. I’m worried he won’t pitch in the majors again this season

Dodgeritis: Realistically when can we expect to see Jarod Duran? Franchy isn’t getting it done and Renfroe isn’t lighting the world on fire either. Worth a spec add in a 12 team mixed 5×5?

Jeff Zimmerman: I think we are going to see guys come up like Lynch with the minors starting up

Jeff Zimmerman: Or I think it’ll be in 2 weeks after they start dominating

Jeff Zimmerman: At least the minor league stats will be available to get a reading on some prospects.
