Guest: In an NL only 12 team roto I’m in competition for first. Is it worth  benching Carpenter for Locastro and try to get a couple stolen bases next week? Likewise with benching a guy like Tomlin for taking a shot on Suero for saves?

Jeff Zimmerman: If you need steals, go with Locastro

Jeff Zimmerman: I’m not sure Suero is good for Saves.

Mark: Could use some help in ERA/WHIP this final week. Best strategy to bank on some your suggested relievers or go for a guy like Akin and hope for some generally positive but nothing spectacular? Basically would take some #s that being overall mediocre era/whip down than rolling dice on guy/guys who could implode or be lights out…

Jeff Zimmerman: It’s impossible to manage these in a week. I’d go with as many closers as possible without cutting into Wins and Ks

Malone: I have a free pickup for Monday in a points league.  I need a pitcher to get some innings and Ks, but the options suck: Huascar Ynao, Trevor Rogers, Matt Shoemaker with a pitch count vs NYY, Pete Fairbanks as an opener and I think Josh Fleming as a follower. Shot in the dark, who is preferable in that group?

JD: Need some playoff pop. Drop Solano and DeJong for B Anderson and DeJong? (OBP league). Have a great “off-season.”

Jeff Zimmerman: After Bubic … but Gibson has two starts so if a manager really needs Wins and Ks, go Gibson over Bubic

Jeff Zimmerman: I’d just sit tight … but that’s me. I rarely chase the hot hand.

Jeff Zimmerman: Some

Jeff Zimmerman: Like I stated earlier, no idea. First I’ll look into why they broke out and if it’s sustainable.

Montas: Scared about frankie montas @ lad this week. It’s 2 starts, but would I be better off with akin/gibson/etc?

Jeff Zimmerman: I feel I’ll give you the wrong answer either way. Gibson is not the answer here

Arroyo Secco: Worried about Christian Arroyo’s back. Dump for Tyler Wade in al and hope nyy rests some guys?

Jeff Zimmerman: Stick with Arroyo or swap him out before lineups lock if there is any new news

Manny Sanguillen: Jeff- do you have more confidence in a slumping Grichuk or a slumping Swanson in final week of weekly points league h2h playoff finale?  Bench options who are even colder are Pham and Laureano.  Jared Walsh is on the wire but he has only 6 games and may face Kershaw Friday.

Jeff Zimmerman: I might go with Walsh over the rest.
