Jeff Zimmerman: I’m just watching that Contact%. He needs to keep it over 70%

EarthboundMisfit: So, I dropped the ball in my 12-team OBP redraft league and wound up with Xander Bogaerts as my starting SS. He’s been trash (with the exception of today, 3/3 on my bench, ugh) and I’ve picked up Max Muncy the Younger to fill in for him. Anyone else <30% owned you’d keep an eye on? Winn and Gimenez are there but I feel they’re better real-life players than fantasy.

Jeff Zimmerman: Gimenez is showing some power increase (note in today’s FAAB report). He could be this year’s Perdomo

Karl: how do we feel about TJ Rumfield? Could be be Hosmer light in a points league?

Jeff Zimmerman: Volume, AVG, and 20 HR. Solid, not great

Jeff Zimmerman: It’s Grant Holmes. He’s easily the most talented but if he went on the IL after the first pitch, I’d not be shocked.

Mike: If I have Cade Smith, do I need to add Gaddis.  Nothing seems fundamentally wrong with Smith.

Jeff Zimmerman: I hate handcuffs of my own RPs. Too safe. I aim for other handcuffs and try to get an extra closer. Play to win.

Jeff Zimmerman: Hell, those are the my catchers #1 and #2 in one league

duff: drop kikuchi for either Hancock or Vasquez in a 15tm H2H? if yes, what % should I bid?

Jeff Zimmerman: Yes, both may be pushing 50% or higher.

Jeff Zimmerman: One note, I think there are going to be some pitchers added on the cheap this week, and others will cost a ton. Get your guys because the wire might dry up.

Snuffy Stirnweiss: What is your tolerance for keeping Barger in a 12 team OBP? Thinking of bidding 7% on Walker to replace him

Jeff Zimmerman: Not much. His playing time was drying up before the injuries.

Jeff Zimmerman: Solid. The key to any trade, did your team improve?

Chucky: Milwaukee Brewers, smartest team in baseball? Follow their lead and swap out Durbin for Renfiglio?

Jeff Zimmerman: I want neither.

Pee Wee: Am I expecting too much from catchers  Basallo and KC’s Jensen?

Jeff Zimmerman: You should have expected one of the young guys to bust. Getting both means you’ll be hunting for at least one catcher.

Cliff Claven: How many weeks until the wire bereft of difference-makers? 1-2. Seems mostly pitching available this week.

Jeff Zimmerman: There are still solid SP adds. I think some position-player situations will clarify as the better hitters start to play more.

Jeff Zimmerman: It usually takes a month for the low hanging fruit to be taken and then the grind begins

OnlyALConundrum: 12 team 5×5 AL Only.  What percent of FAAB to go after Erceg?

Jeff Zimmerman: 30%? 50%? I’m a little surprised Erceg was not rostered

Mike: Waiver claim for Didier Fuentes in an NL only this week or too early?

Jeff Zimmerman: I have no idea. I really don’t

Daro: have a logjam with Seiya returning. 12 Teams Keepers league. Who should I drop: Cole Young, Jorge Polanco or Durbin? Jordan Walker, Laureno, B Reynolds or Laureano?

Jeff Zimmerman: One of the two Laureano’s. Or Polanco

Madalena: The less hyped Muncy appears to be doing a lot of different and interesting things across categories.  Do you prefer him over Rocchio in AL only 5×5 roto?

Jeff Zimmerman: Yes

Clueless: Context is an 18 team league with 28 player rosters, conventional roto categories 5 X 5.   Both Hunter Brown and Cade Horton are injured.   Which players do you expect to fill their rotation roles?   I would be grateful for any suggestions for their replacement in this deep league.

Jeff Zimmerman: Sounds like Arrigetti (sp?) in HOU. Talk is Ben Brown or Rea in Chicago

whatever catchers: Drop for Liam Hicks: Bo Naylor? O’Hoppe?  OPB roto.  fwiw Naylor got hit in the nuts with a foul tip and stayed in the game today but it’s not exactly a point in his favor.

Jeff Zimmerman: I could see the move, but the Kirk manager is going to be desperate and bid up Hicks. Don’t make it a Pyrrhic victory for a catcher you drop once he cools down

Royal: over 162 game schedule what do you see as Moniak’s ceiling and floor in 5×5 roto and which of the two do you think he lands closer to over full season?

Jeff Zimmerman: One note, the NL west is loaded with RHP, so he’ll play quite a bit, so I might go higher than the projections.

Moises Ballestros: Is his bat worth one of two Utility spots for a roster in a deep 12 team 5×5 trad roto (one catcher league)? He will also be a back-up to Rutschman. Ballestros is competing with batters like Frelick and JLowe.

Jeff Zimmerman: For now, yes, stick with him. If the playing time and/or production doesn’t come, move on in a week or two.

Jeff Zimmerman: Play the unknown possible upside

Sean Burke: You like him in a deep AL-Only? Looked good against Toronto and his (small sample) underlying numbers are pretty strong….

Jeff Zimmerman: He’s a solid add. The White Sox’s schedule is soft coming up.

Emerson Hancock: What % in an AL-Only are you putting on Hancock if you just lost Hunter Brown?

Timmy: If grant Taylor gets SP eligible with all this opening he could be useful in a daily moves league to sit in an SP spot and accumulate stats?

Jeff Zimmerman: He’s a must-ad in any league that counts Saves. That said, he’s a min bid guy right now

Jeff Zimmerman: I like them both and they should be rostered by some team in every league

Jeff Zimmerman: Yes, based on playing time. McCarthy has been losing playing time and moved down the order. McCarthy’s value might be up with Freeman getting hurt again.

Jeff Zimmerman: It’s getting close. Sheehan is looking to be a pain in the ass and I might manage another arm

Hank: Where are you on Jack Leiter after these starts? Is he a better option than someone like Nola or Baz if all are on the wire right now?

GP: Strider was cut last week in 15 Team NFBC, would you be aggressive in adding him? Or is he washed?

Jeff Zimmerman: I’d put in a decent bid, not too much. He’s been a 4.62 ERA and 1.41 WHIP arm over the past two seasons

Johnny5Alive: I know it’s just April. But I’m a super deep league where there’s nothing on the wire, how early might you decide that it’s not going to work the way you planned and start thinking about next year?
