7:30 |
: Welcome
7:31 |
: Here are this week’s Tout Wars 15-team FAAB bids.
7:31 |
![]() |
7:31 |
: Any interest in Beeter? Closing share and high Ks, but bad team and possibly just a hot streak for a volatile pitcher?
7:32 |
: I’d hold off adding him
7:33 |
: Just too few chances for Holds
7:33 |
: For 2026, Spencer Strider ranks in the top-xx starting pitchers?
7:34 |
: 50
7:34 |
: going to replace T Rogers (toe and vs NYY 2x)…Wells or Chandler? Need QS and Ks
7:34 |
: Wells
7:35 |
: will Cantillo stay in CLE rotation?
7:36 |
: At least for one start (team declared him)
7:37 |
: wins onl, early, e. perez or erod?
7:37 |
: Perez
7:37 |
: Thanks for these chats all year. Rank catchers ROS: Moreno, Baldwin, and Bailey
7:39 |
: You’re welcome. Baldwin, Moreno, and Bailey
7:39 |
: Any IL Stash recommendations for batters + pitchers in 2026 (preferably Keeper 12 Team OBP K/BB) ?
7:40 |
: Sorry, I haven’t looked. I have no keeper leagues to add them to
7:41 |
: Top 5 closers for final 2 weeks after Diaz, Munoz, Chapman, Duran are…
7:42 |
: I’d try to attack the teams who are still trying to make the playoffs. I’d not be surprised if Shawn Armstrong gets several Saves to finish the season.
7:43 |
: Connelly Early Worth an add / stream for Tuesday vs A’s ?
7:44 |
: Yes, I’m going to try to add him in a few leagues. The options are starting to dry up.
7:44 |
: Who are your sleeper SP picks for wins this week in the deepest of AL only format?
7:45 |
: Gomez of the White Sox. Against SD (Vasquez). I like what he is doing but don’t I’m hoping for other options.
7:45 |
: Ward’s been cold as ice. Would you swap him out for Burger, Barger, Bader (tough LAD visit) or E. Clement. Thank you
7:45 |
: I’d be fine dropping Ward for everyone but Clement
7:46 |
: Are Kittridge and Vest reasonable saves option where my opponent has two similar options? I could punt the category and overload with holds in a H2H where saves and holds are separate categories, but I hate to punt a category and Kittridge was great this week.
7:47 |
: In all fairness, he might try the same thing. I’d try to run out the best pitchers (K/9, ERA, WHIP) so if you don’t win Saves and Holds, you help yourself in those categories.
7:47 |
: Playoffs are here. Show me the money. Time to sit ELDC? Sentimentality aside, he’s been brutal.
7:48 |
: Depends for who
7:48 |
: Start R Weathers @COL and Tolle vs. ATH this week?
7:48 |
: If all you need is Wins, sure but both of those starts scare me.
7:48 |
: Better SPARP option in H2H this week : Kolek, Ginn, Ascraft, Latz?
7:49 |
: Latz then Kolek. Ascraft is doing some kind of piggyback starts, and Ginn is hurt
7:50 |
Neto ok to start this week you think? Didn’t play last few days. And day off Monday for LAA |
7:51 |
: You’re welcome. I’d have a backup from a team who starts his week on Tuesday, so you can swap him out if Neto is hurt.
7:51 |
: Hey Jeff, thanks for doing these all season—they’ve been a huge help. As I make a playoff push, could you rank these power bats for the next two weeks: Mickey Moniak, Tyler O’Neill, Jake Burger, Coby Mayo, and S Stewart?
7:52 |
: Burger ……huge gap …… TON, Moniak, Mayo, Stewart.
7:52 |
: Need wins and Ks. There’s nothing on the wire. Should I drop Framber for Kolek, Elder, or Soriano?
7:53 |
: No … maybe. The one that interests me is Soriano who might have two starts in the final week.
7:53 |
: Thanks for the insight throughout the year, Jeff…do you like Tyler Wells and Taillon this week?
7:54 |
: I’m starting Wells in several leagues
7:54 |
: If I need to make up ground, I’d roll with Taillon. Those two starts could be huge.
7:56 |
: Ascraft is named as tomorrow starter, roll him over Latz?
7:56 |
: If they don’t plan on limiting him
7:56 |
: Any suggestions for steals after Caballero, who was picked up last night
7:57 |
: McCarthy, up against six righties this week. Mangum and Robles are also options
7:58 |
: Looking at the top two batters on your WW Report — Burger and Bader — would you drop Matt Shaw or Torkelson for either of them?
7:58 |
: I might do Shaw for Burger
7:58 |
: Did you see the Big Amish slam? The 493 footer? After the correction comes, what do you think reasonable expectations for next year are?
7:59 |
: My numbers have him for mid-40’s home run power.
8:00 |
: I’m going to have to dig in more once the season is done.
8:00 |
: Trey Yesavage being recalled by the Blue Jays for tomorrow is he a viable two start option this week?
8:01 |
: No … checking his usage
8:02 |
: I don’t see him going over 4 IP.
8:04 |
: Also, I’m worried about the walks. Hopefully with two weeks left in the season, but rotation is set and I don’t have to rely on the rookie.
8:04 |
: Drop Neto for keaschall or burger in a weekly points league for utility position Since Neto is 🤷🏻♂️ this week.
8:04 |
: Yes
8:04 |
: Appreciate all your chats and columns this year
8:05 |
: Thanks Vic
8:05 |
: Thanks for the chats all year. How much FAAB in a 15 teamer do you want to have for next Sunday night? ($1000 starting NFBC type league)
8:07 |
: If leading, $20, if behind $10. I’ve got a team I’m making 9 moves this week, so I want to be able to do 10 the last week. So many roster changes and dead options. In in the lead, you need to spend $2 to beat everyone or you’ll end up with the worse options.
8:08 |
: Note on two-start guys. If you can, add as many of the good ones as possible to keep them away from your opponents. If you don’t plan on starting a starter, drop the non-starter and take an option off the board.
8:09 |
: we running out Alexander for two starts this week
8:09 |
: Damn right
8:09 |
: will Early get 2 starts this week?
8:09 |
: I’m not sure. I would no count on it.
8:10 |
: assuming Early will stay in BOS rotation…pick 1 – Early 3 remaining starts (ATH, @ TB, DET) or Seymour (TOR, BOS, @ TOR)
8:11 |
: I’m not counting on those starts to end next week. With just two starts, I’d lean Early
8:11 |
: Playing for 2026. 12 team AL only 5×5 H2H keeper league using OPS. Keep 8. $260 team salary 30-35% inflation for top 1/4. Have Rice $18 and Neto $26. Are either keepable? I have $6 FAAB left. Two others at $7 and $11. Would you drop either and hope you can get either for $6 or too risky?
8:11 |
: Too risky.
8:12 |
: I’ll make stand now. As people dig into Rice, he’ll start climbing up draft boards and I’ll not be surprised if he’s going in the 5th or 6th round in 15’s as the 2nd or 3rd C off the board.
8:13 |
: Trust Strider in what might be a two-start week. My opponent has three two-start pitchers.
8:13 |
: You have to go for it.
8:14 |
: Do you think Marcelo Meyer will be Boston’s starter at 2B (3B if Bregman doesn’t return)? Was going to drop him tonight and try to pick back up for $6 or less. This is a 12 team AL only H2H 5×5 keeper league. $260 team salary and 30%ish draft day inflation. Two other owners have $7 and $11 but I’m thinking I can get him back for sub $5. Main concern is his injury history.
8:15 |
: I would not throw him out there. He has shown the skills of a top-20 hitter. I wouldn’t take the chance
8:16 |
: Do you have any favorites from the morass of these al only relievers? Saves only league, but WHIP is nice. Whitlock, Sands, Grant Taylor, Sabrowski, Cano, Maton? Thanks!
8:17 |
: No. I’d just go with the most talented and highest gLI (win probability tab)
8:17 |
: You might get a Save or Win
8:17 |
: Straight play for power in very deep AL only league. Bleday or Nate Lowe?
8:17 |
: Lowe but I hate it
8:18 |
: I cut Noah Cameron after his scuffles and with Philly on the schedule. But maybe I should jump back in? Gets TOR in KC this week. Him or Tyler Wells?
8:20 |
: When the projections are around 45% K%, no bueno
8:21 |
: Any interest in the Astros rookie, Cole? Huge debut and three straight starts in LF?
8:21 |
: No, the strikeouts scared me away. When the projections are around 45% K%, no bueno
8:21 |
: Coming up to a starts limit in AL Only. Any piggybacking starters this week you see? Blubaugh? Melton? Can’t tell…
8:23 |
: Melton is a good one. Keep your eye on Yesavage. Toronto talked about using him as a long reliever out of the bullpen.
8:23 |
: championship week against a more talented team. Who’s your last starter? Darvish @ CWS, Warren @ BAL, Soriano @ MIL, or roll the dice on Ragans return? (Probably vs. SEA or TOR)
8:23 |
: Davish
8:24 |
: Sorry my connection was lost and just realized that you have taken my question above, thank you!
8:24 |
: No worries.
8:24 |
: Any $1 dart throws for a deep OBP keeper league to track during the offseason?
8:25 |
: I like Jerar Encarnacion but he’s rough in OBP leagues.
8:27 |
: Go after all the half to three-quarter guys in Toronto (e.g., Luke, Schneider (sp?), etc). I could see one getting traded into a full-time job.
8:27 |
: Thank you for doing this Jeff! You’re the best!
8:27 |
: Thanks
8:27 |
: And on that note, that’s it for this week. Talk to everyone one more time.
